"Okay." Lily Shaw's hazy eyes followed Aiden Grant's tall, straight figure; the corners of her lips curled, revealing a silly, dazed smile.
Such a gentle, considerate, outstanding man was hers; she was a lucky one.
Aiden Grant hadn't been gone long before the alcohol fog in Lily Shaw's head cleared. She lazily swept her gaze around the venue, and when she saw Madam King in the center, surrounded by a crowd, she rubbed her temples with a bit of a headache.
Madam King was obviously prejudiced against her, yet she still had to pretend not to notice and go over to her. Just thinking about it felt suffocating.
But then Lily Shaw thought of what Aiden Grant had said earlier, and the obvious anticipation in his eyes when he spoke. She exhaled lightly and clenched her fists.
She didn't want to let Aiden Grant's expectations down, so she still went over to Madam King to show her face and brush up her presence.
