Jude put all his strength into landing three heavy punches on Aiden Grant. The resentment he held toward him eased quite a bit, but when he turned and caught the displeasure in Lily Shaw's eyes, he suddenly felt that three punches were far too few!
That bastard Aiden Grant, he should've hit him thirty times!
But thinking of the unmistakable concern in Lily Shaw's eyes, Jude still forced down his irritation. Before Lily could run over, he leaned in close to Aiden Grant's ear and whispered, "Eldest Young Master Grant, I'll text you later."
"Thanks." Aiden Grant replied quietly. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Lily Shaw running toward him, face full of anxiety, and his bruised lips lifted slightly.
As long as he could make Lily Shaw give up the idea of separating from him for a while, he'd gladly take another thirty punches from Jude.
With this kind of feigned-injury ploy, the more pitiful and miserable he looked, the better the effect, right?
