As soon as Lily Shaw posed her question, she heard the sound of teeth grinding on the other end of the phone. She couldn't help but think of the man who had eagerly come to the courtyard a few days ago to inquire about Mandy Young…
Very quickly, Mandy Young confirmed her suspicion.
"Lily, I should be at work today, but early this morning, a madman flew all the way from Aethel to Silvercrest, forcibly dragged me into a car like a bandit without saying a word. Anyway, Lily, I'm at the airport in Aethel right now, and I'll be heading to the courtyard to find you later." Mandy Young succinctly recounted the events. She didn't need to mention the madman's name for Lily Shaw to immediately know who he was.
"Okay, I'll wait for you at home." Lily Shaw replied in a light-hearted tone. She hadn't seen Mandy in a long time, nor had she gone around town with her like two ravenous ghosts searching for delicious food.
