A voice suddenly sounded from the side:
"You child, are you not even listening to the village chief these days!"
The little girl immediately froze.
She looked up and saw the village chief staring at her sternly, but she immediately knelt down and begged:
"Grandpa chief, please let me go!"
"No." The village chief shook his head: "Go back quickly. If I don't let you go, I've never seen an Immortal in all these years.
You wouldn't take even this little hope away from your grandpa, would you?"

The girl was stunned.
She blankly watched the village chief pass through the thorns and disappear soon after.

The village chief was panting heavily.
He had exerted all his strength to reach the gigantic tree that seemed to connect heaven and earth.
Then he directly knelt down at the base of the tree.
Bowing to the tree, he pleaded:
