The Fox Tail Bandit Group was protected by a Defense Array, so the spell couldn't be cast inside the Shield. Instead, Shen Zhongyun chose a target point just to the side of it. As the runes took form, Negative Energy from the Shadow Realm began to gather around the Defense Shield.
The massive convergence of Negative Energy quickly alerted the Forest Wanderer and the Guard Array.
