Ordinary Group Owner: "What about the price?"
Ordinary Group Owner: "Black Zetsu is a creation of Yin–Yang Release. That should be worth quite a lot, right?"
Uchiha Dance King: "Seventy thousand points. Barely acceptable."
Converted into Devil Fruits, it wasn't even on par with a Logia. Still, considering the chat group's buyback prices were low to begin with, it wasn't bad on the whole.
For him, it counted as a pleasant surprise.
Golden Flash: "Seventy thousand points, huh?"
A glint flickered in Namikaze Minato's eyes—he seemed to be forming an idea.
But in the end he could only give a wry smile and shake his head. Come on—he wasn't Uchiha Madara. Whatever method Madara used to reclaim Black Zetsu, he certainly couldn't pull it off.
At best he could set a scheme to lure Black Zetsu in and then seal him with fūinjutsu.
But Black Zetsu had lived so many years; that wasn't for nothing. Getting a being like him sealed wouldn't be easy to begin with.
Holy Guard Left Wing: "Now I'm suddenly very curious—how many points would Reaper Karl be worth on reclamation?"
Reaper Karl's phantom body was very much like an energy body—able to ignore virtually all damage. Punishing him was an exceedingly difficult thing.
Precisely because of that, his phantom should be priced somewhat higher than an ordinary fourth-generation divine body.
Add in his native intellect and research value… He certainly seemed expensive.
Umaru the Homebody: "He's clearly a god with both looks and brains, and yet the deepest impression he left me with is—"
Boil Dagu into Soup: "You're only fit to smell my Reaper Karl's farts!"
Boil Dagu into Soup: "Hahahaha!"
Boil Dagu into Soup: "To think a chief deity of a civilization has branded himself into my mind this way—my apologies."
Richest Man: "Hahahaha."
Richest Man: "You don't look the least bit apologetic."
Jokes aside, Tony had great respect for Reaper Karl as well. Perhaps Karl's innate talent for research wasn't definitively greater than the Heavenly-Base King He Xi's, but where the void was concerned, his research absolutely surpassed that of the Angelic Civilization.
As for the so-called Final Fear—on that, opinions would differ.
Once, Ge Xiaolun used Ambition to simulate a universe; life existed within that micro-cosmos. Those lives didn't know Ge Xiaolun existed—they believed themselves to be real.
Karl and Morgana had likely discovered something similar long ago and concluded the world they lived in had been created by another. From there, respect for life meant less and less—and they even pondered what would happen if that creator wished to destroy their world.
Looked at that way, their world was created by someone else, and this "Final Fear" was merely a parameter in the setting.
Whether such a thing truly existed was hard to say.
When the plot arrived, it existed; when the plot did not, a hundred years could pass and it still wouldn't show.
As for the notion that a civilization would be destroyed once it reached a certain threshold—setting the plot aside—that wasn't impossible. If, in truth, their world had been created by an entity with far more terrifying technology, and that entity imposed an upper bound on development—i.e., a cap on civilization's growth—
Then upon reaching that cap, a dedicated program would be dispatched to wipe it clean.
And that program would be the so-called Final Fear.
That was one possible reading.
As for Reaper Karl's phantom body—Brandon didn't know the precise science behind it, but broadly speaking, it was an ideational body: something akin to spiritual power, yet more unique.
After all, in Karl's research, transplanting a Gluttonous's brain into a machine still allowed it to live just fine; naturally, he ceased placing value on flesh. Abandoning the body was no surprise.
Brandon had even considered that if one didn't explain Karl's existence with a fourth-generation divine body, one could frame it through the artifact-spirit concept from xianxia novels.
Bind one's spirit to the Great Clock; the body shown to the outside world would be nothing but the Clock's projection.
A projection, by nature, cannot be destroyed.
But whether you call it an artifact spirit or an ideational body, both prove one fact:
Reaper Karl does not fart. (lol)
Ordinary Group Owner: "Speaking of Reaper Karl—@Holy Guard Left Wing—how's Morgana doing now?"
Ordinary Group Owner: "You were already chasing her around before. Now you must be even less able to keep the fight going, right?"
After all, with so many things available through the chat group, they would inevitably influence Angelic tech to some degree.
Say nothing of anything else—didn't the Angelic Civilization buy an Infinity Stone?
Charge up a Skyblade Judgment with it—who could stand against that?
Holy Guard Left Wing: "Headache.jpg"
Holy Guard Left Wing: "At first, I planned to engineer a solo fight with her and then capture her."
Holy Guard Left Wing: "But she seems to have learned my power reached a fourth-generation divine body. She won't even fight—she runs the instant she sees me."
Holy Guard Left Wing: "She even withdrew from Earth altogether."
Holy Guard Left Wing: "Most likely Reaper Karl tipped her off."
Holy Guard Left Wing: "Given Earth has the Space-Time Rose, she'll probably sneak back sooner or later."
Holy Guard Left Wing: "We'll just lie in wait."
Angel Yan let out a faint sigh. She'd actually rather looked forward to crossing hands with Morgana and picking up a trick or two about the space-time divine body.
Her holy body progressed rapidly thanks to Holy Kaisa's tutelage, but the space-time body had been created by Liang Bing (Morgana). While the Heavenly-Base King had run the math on the space-time body from its technical principles and more or less analyzed it, Morgana was, after all, the originator—no one understood its traits better than she.
Ordinary Group Owner: "The Demon Queen Morgana still couldn't escape the fate of scuttling from place to place, in the end."
Ordinary Group Owner: "Though that arc with Rose moved me a lot, I still think Morgana's creed is a bit too 'free.'"
Ordinary Group Owner: "I can't accept it."
Whether it was turning humans into demons, or what Sword Demon Ato did, these were things Roxie Vale could not accept.
The Oldest Godslayer: "Whether Holy Kaisa, Morgana, or Reaper Karl—each is a founder of a system of order."
The Oldest Godslayer: "Measuring them by the order of our world is unreasonable."
The Oldest Godslayer: "To put it bluntly—what matters is strength."
The Oldest Godslayer: "The Angelic Civilization is the strongest; Holy Kaisa is the King of Gods; thus one follows Holy Kaisa's order."
Marquis Voban had no objections to Morgana's deeds. She was a strong one; the strong do as they please and abide by their own order.
From beginning to end, Morgana's order was corruption, wickedness, and freedom.
As for Angel Liang Bing? Could she really be counted as the same person as Morgana?
Wuxia King: "Only the weak follow another's order."
Lord Luo Hao held the same view: once you become a god-slayer, can human order still bind you?
The only law they followed was their own will.
