Strike's thrusters activated, heading towards Aegis. Athrun stopped his advance, and Aegis transformed back into its MS form.

Athrun confirmed that the pilot of the mobile suit before him was Kira, his best friend. He immediately became agitated.
"That's what I want to ask! Why are you sitting in that thing? You shouldn't be in it! And you shouldn't be here!"
"You too. Didn't you say you hated war and would absolutely not participate in it?"
"Mmm…"
While the two were chattering endlessly, Mikazuki had already piloted Barbatos to the vanguard fleet's flagship, the Montgomery. Using its smoothbore cannon, he took down a Ginn that was attempting a sneak attack on the battleship from below.
