The Chapter get Retranslated
In the end, Kira didn't touch his portion and gave it to Mikazuki. With one kebab smothered in chili sauce and the other in yogurt sauce, Mikazuki took a bite of each to compare.
"They taste about the same."
Andrew looked genuinely offended and sat down across from them.
"Hey now, young man, is there something wrong with your taste buds? How can chili sauce even compare to the glory of yogurt sauce?"
"Whatever you say..."
Mikazuki continued eating the chili sauce kebab with his usual deadpan expression.
"Kira, aren't you going to eat?" Mikazuki asked.
"No, I don't have much of an appetite. You go ahead." Kira managed to squeeze out a weary smile. Mikazuki nodded and went back to his food.
Cagalli looked at Andrew with dissatisfaction. "Why did you just sit down like you own the place? Who even are you?"
Before Andrew could respond, a rocket was launched from the roof of a nearby high-rise. With the kebab still clamped in his teeth, Mikazuki instantly flipped the table. He shoved Kira and Cagalli's heads down, forcing them into cover behind the upright tabletop.
Andrew's reaction was barely half a beat slower than Mikazuki's. The moment the table was flipped, he had already lunged to Mikazuki's side, ducking behind the makeshift shield.
BOOM!
The rocket grazed the edge of the table and exploded in a shop behind them, the shockwave causing immediate chaos and casualties among the bystanders.
As the dust began to settle, Mikazuki took another bite of his kebab. "Hold this for a second."
He shoved the remaining half of the kebab into Cagalli's hand while drawing a pistol from the holster at the small of his back.
Andrew, now wielding a submachine gun, was internally shaken by the boy's reaction speed. He looked at Mikazuki with genuine awe. "Nice moves, Kid."
Mikazuki spared him a cool, sideways glance. "You're not so bad yourself... Tiger."
Andrew's expression froze. Beside him, Kira and Cagalli's faces went pale. Andrew quickly regained his composure and let out a wry smile.
"I see. You noticed who I was the moment you arrived, didn't you?"
"Yeah. And I noticed the group in front of us, too," Mikazuki said, looking up toward the roof of the building he had scoped out hours ago.
Andrew laughed and tipped his straw hat. He suddenly spun around and opened fire on a group of men charging out of a nearby stairwell.
"Haha! If you noticed them, why didn't you give this old man a heads-up?"
"You didn't ask."
"..."
Rat-tat-tat-tat-tat!
Andrew's personal guards, who had been lying in wait nearby, rushed out to engage the attackers.
"Die, you damn Coordinators from the sky!"
"For the preservation of our blue and pure world!"
Hearing those words, Cagalli blurted out, "Are they from Blue Cosmos?"
Mikazuki repeated the name, "Blue Cosmos?"
But before anyone could answer him, several reckless men charged forward with guns raised, their faces twisted in rage. Mikazuki was faster than Andrew; he raised his hand and fired two shots, dropping the two men in the lead instantly.
Kira, watching from behind, spotted an attacker hiding in an alley, aiming for a sneak attack. Before he could shout a warning, a loud crack rang out. The Blue Cosmos assassin collapsed to the ground with a bullet hole dead center in his forehead.
Seeing this, Andrew didn't hesitate. He shouted to his men, "Shoot to kill! Leave no one alive!"
With the order given and reinforcements for the Desert Tiger arriving, the Blue Cosmos cell was quickly and thoroughly wiped out. Not a single one was left breathing.
Andrew holstered his weapon and walked over to the three teenagers. He took off his hat and sunglasses.
"You really did me a huge favor. I thought my luck had finally run out."
"It really is you... Andrew Waltfeld, the Desert Tiger," Kira muttered.
Andrew smiled, showing no trace of panic now that his identity was fully exposed.
"Well? How about coming back to my place for a bit? This young lady's clothes are ruined, and her hair... well... hahaha!"
Hearing Andrew's laughter, Cagalli looked down. Her clothes were stained with a massive smear of chili sauce, and she realized with horror that there was yogurt sauce matted into her hair.
Mikazuki reached over and took back the kebab Cagalli was still holding upright. Finding it perfectly intact, he took a satisfied bite.
Kira knit his brows and whispered to Mikazuki, "Mika, what should we do?"
"What do you mean? Let's go. She looks pretty uncomfortable like that anyway," Mikazuki replied through a mouthful of food.
He took another indifferent bite of the kebab.
Ultimately, the three of them followed Andrew to his residence—a super-luxurious castle located right next to where the Lesseps was docked.
It had originally belonged to the wealthiest man in the city, but after the Desert Tiger arrived, the tycoon had fled out of fear of ZAFT and the Coordinators. The vacant mansion had become Andrew's base of operations.
The security was tight. Four Desert GINNs stood guard around the perimeter, and soldiers were stationed at every entrance, both in plain sight and in the shadows.
As they entered the spacious interior, they saw a woman with shoulder-length hair wearing a tight, provocative outfit waiting for them.
"Oh? Are these the children you were talking about, Andy?"
Andy was the affectionate nickname she used for Andrew. She was his lover, Aisha Tris.
"Aisha, this little girl is covered in chili and yogurt sauce. Help her get cleaned up and find her a change of clothes."
Aisha glanced at Kira and Mikazuki before settling her smiling gaze on Cagalli. She walked forward gracefully, took Cagalli by the hand, and led her inside.
"Follow me, dear."
"Cagalli!" Kira tried to follow, but Mikazuki pulled him back.
"It's fine. That woman won't hurt her."
Andrew walked ahead, glancing back with a meaningful, sharp smile.
"He's right. That little girl isn't the one of value here... not compared to you two. The two Mobile Suit pilots of the Archangel."
