We rode nearly half the day, and no one bothered us, and Killian stopped his horse, which made a sound. The horse's hooves kicked the dirt on the ground, and Killian turned to me. "We need to take a break; we've been riding all day."
I nodded; my back was nearly killing me. It ached everywhere, including my legs, which squeezed the horse, and I pulled the horse, and I got off of it.
I looked around the dark forest we were in, and there was nearly no light, and the sky was still dark. I knew nothing about the demon world, but there was stuff in the forest I could use to make fire.
I turned to Killian. "I'm going to grab some branches so we can make some fire."
Killian nodded. "Okay, I will help you."
He got off his horse and tied the strings to the tree so the horse couldn't run away. We walked for a while and grabbed any branches we found on the ground.
I asked, "Do you miss home?"
Kilian replied, "Why do you ask?"
