When the demon child showed a smug expression like he won a battle. It didn't make me angry; it only made me pleased.
Sometime Killian, my disciple, will know that demons can't be trusted. They can say sweet words or do good deeds, but it doesn't change their nature.
They weren't meant to exist alongside humans, and I will destroy as many as I can. But first, I need my precious disciple to see the demon's true nature.
I narrowed my eyes when Sonny stood next to Killian, like he was guarding him like a possessive wolf. Which is annoying.
But it's not that bad. At least it keeps him leashed through Killian.
My voice echoes in the room, and the elders stand beside me, their powers weaker than mine.
"Killian, come with me."
Sonny narrowed his red eyes. "Not a chance, old man."
I remained silent, not letting his attitude affect me. I will be patient.
