Tai Yang swung his sword, and Kurno did the same. Their swords clashed against each other.
Tai Yang quickly dodged her attack and moved forward, forcing Kurno backward. She stepped back for a moment.
Kurno looked at him.
"I see you've improved a lot in just a few days. Tai Yang, that's very impressive."
She raised her sword.
"But this still doesn't really matter. I can beat you right now, too."
Tai Yang and Kurno engaged in an intense sword fight.
Tai Yang dodged her attack and immediately counterattacked, but Kurno dodged it.
Kurno raised her hand.
"I order you to split!"
Water formed around Tai Yang from four directions.
Tai Yang moved instantly, dodging the attacks at incredible speed. He moved around Kurno, leaving afterimages behind him.
Kurno stared at him.
"He's very fast."
Tai Yang rapidly moved around her before swinging his sword.
Their swords clashed again.
This time, Kurno was forced backward.
She looked at him.
"How about this?"
Tai Yang swung his sword, damaging her.
Kurno serious expression looks at tai
"How about this? Hector Slash!"
She unleashed the attack.
Tai Yang dodged it, but the slash still caught him in the knee.
Tai Yang stumbled.
Tai Yang gritted his teeth.
"Damn, I got some damage, but I won't lose."
Tai attacked her again, and the fight continued.
Scene shifted to Freddie.
Freddie was looking down.
He remembered a flashback of Konsoon drinking tea while standing by the window.
"I wonder… when you left this room, you might cry. This could be a possibility, I can say for now, Freddie."
And the flashback revealed that Freddie really did cry after losing his father, Albert.
"I have to learn from my loss and move away from it."
Tears began to form in his eyes.
Scene shifted to Hiroshi and Ren.
Ren said,
"Tell me about Tai. How can you say he is safe? I didn't even know what would happen if he broke his seal. What will happen?"
Hiroshi said,
"To be honest, it can be a threat. However, it can also be controlled."
Ren said,
"I see. I think too much. Yeah, you are right. Maybe I am wrong about this after all. He isn't that much of a bad person. He is cocky, yeah, but he is also a kind-hearted boy. As I am older than him, of course…"
Ren said,
"I hope he will be good at his mission."
Hiroshi said,
"He will be."
Scene shifted.
Tai Yang attacked Kurno, but she dodged.
Kurno said,
"I didn't see you casting any spell. What do you even have? You just swing your sword and attack me with that blue air around you."
Tai Yang said,
"Because I am built to do different things, of course."
He suddenly moved very fast and attacked her again.
Kurno dodged, but she was damaged.
Scene shifted.
Cav said,
"Leader Kurno got damaged halfway, though. Should we jump into that battle?"
Vianic said,
"No. We should let her finish this."
Cav said,
"But she looks injured."
Vianic looked at him.
"Do you think she got the title of the pride of the Benifer family for no reason? She is the pride of the Benifer family, and she can't lose like that. Even though that boy is giving his best, he looks very young compared to Kurno. But he can't beat her. She isn't going to use her real power right now, I would assume."
Kurno used her sword, and Tai Yang dodged it. She raised her hand, and her eyes began to glow.
"Hector Laser!"
Tai Yang looked shocked.
"What?"
The attack struck his left shoulder.
"Damn it! I didn't even notice she used this!"
Tai Yang quickly moved forward and attacked her, but Kurno dodged.
Vianic watched the battle.
Tai Yang moved incredibly fast, dodging Kurno's attacks. Whenever she prepared to attack with Hector Laser, Tai Yang quickly moved away.
Kurno prepared another attack.
Tai Yang suddenly moved forward and kicked her in the back.
Kurno was sent backward.
Tai Yang swung his sword.
"Take this! Hahhh!"
His attack injured her badly.
Cav watched.
Kurno looked at Tai Yang.
"I see. Right now, you're doing well. You're also the same as me, I would assume. I don't really care whether you're talented or not. It doesn't matter. But you need the confidence and the diligence to train yourself every day. I like that."
She continued.
"I would say you shouldn't be shocked. You do have some hidden power within you. But at this age, you're already able to accomplish these feats. Tai Yang, I have to say, you've done a lot."
She raised her hand.
"Now, I will end this. You deserve it. You'll be the second person who has ever managed to push me this close."
Her eyes began glowing even more intensely.
"Hector Curve."
A curved attack formed around Tai Yang, spreading across the ground.
Kurno suddenly moved at incredible speed.
Her sword flashed through the air.
Tai Yang was injured by the attack.
Another slash came from the opposite side.
Tai Yang looked shocked.
"What?"
He couldn't react to her speed.
"Ahhh!"
Another slash struck him.
Tai Yang fell down.
Tai Yang was kneeling, holding his sword.
Kurno said,
"You did well enough, especially since you made me use my power—something many people don't even get to see me use. But right now, it's your end, even for you. And I don't care about the pride of my family. What I care about is what I am right now."
Tai Yang looked at her.
"Pride, huh?"
Kurno said,
"Yeah. You really remind me of someone I met in my childhood. I loved him and cared about him very much, but he died because of an accident caused by me. What can I say? He was the same as you are, but he was also hardworking."
She looked at Tai Yang.
"You remind me of him. But right now, listen to me. I guess I'll be killing you, Kisidian member. Even though I'm shocked by how hardworking you are at such a young age."
Tai Yang thought,
"I'm not able to move my body. Can I beat her?"
Kurno said,
"I'm killing you right now."
Tai Yang held his sword.
Suddenly, blue air surrounded him.
Kurno looked surprised.
"What?"
Tai Yang punched her in the back.
Kurno was sent backward.
She looked at him.
"What immense mana am I sensing?"
Tai Yang looked at her.
"Bring it."
His voice sounded half-demonic, and half of his face had turned blue.
Kurno stared at him.
"What even are you?"
Tai Yang said,
"I am someone who shakes the heavens within me."
He paused.
"I am Azure, also known as the Ancient Blue Dragon."
Kurno looked at him.
"You are someone who's very popular, as I expected. Maybe you're someone related to Kisidian's ultimate weapon."
She raised her sword.
"And I'm going to destroy you."
Azure looked at her.
"Then let's see."
Kurno moved to attack.
Azure suddenly moved incredibly fast and teleported directly in front of her.
Kurno looked shocked.
"What?"
He had teleported so quickly that she couldn't react.
Azure punched her.
Kurno crashed into a rock with tremendous force. The rock shattered, and the surrounding area was destroyed.
Kurno looked at him.
"My eyes… I can't even react to his speed. Even my Eyes of Hector can't match him."
She somehow stood back up.
Azure suddenly appeared in front of her again.
He punched her without hesitation.
Blue aura poured from his body as Kurno fell to the ground, injured.
Azure began taking over Tai Yang's body completely.
But something stopped him.
Tai Yang's body began shining.
Azure said,
"Damn it! Even with one seal, it's still overwhelming my power."
He looked at Tai Yang's body.
"After all, I have fifteen seals compressing my entire power. Even if I break just half of one seal, I should be able to take over this body."
He struggled.
"But something is stopping me."
He realized what it was.
"These seals… they're stopping me."
Azure looked at her.
"You didn't die, did you?"
He raised his hand.
But then Azure's face began shaking. Half of his face was still blue, while Tai Yang's mouth moved.
"Stop it, Azure! Why are you doing this? Why do you want to destroy her?"
Kurno looked at him.
"What's wrong with him?"
Azure said,
"Get out of my body."
Tai Yang replied,
"I can't get out. I'm sealed inside your body, kid."
Tai Yang slapped his own right hand.
"Shut up, you monster! You live inside me. You shouldn't talk."
Mana began floating around Tai Yang's body.
Vianic moved forward to attack, but Kurno raised her hand.
"I'll handle it."
Vianic stopped.
"I see."
He put his sword back.
Kurno was injured, while enormous amounts of mana continued to float around Tai Yang.
Cav looked at him.
"That's a lot of mana."
Vianic stared at Tai Yang.
"That amount of power could destroy this entire area like it was nothing."
The ground began shaking.
"There's something else inside him too."
A massive blast erupted.
Smoke filled the area.
Half of the mountain had been blown apart, leaving a huge hole behind.
Konsoon was drinking from a red glass which was filled with blood . He looked at the scene.
"Interesting."
Tai Yang looked ahead.
Azure began vanishing from Tai Yang's face.
Then tai said,
"I guess now it's good."
His face looked normal again.
Tai Yang said,
"Now let's begin our battle. Where it's on, it will be like that."
Kurno looked at him.
"Yeah. Let's end this."
Vianic said,
"We should not interfere. This is her battle."
Cav replied,
"As you wish, Leader."
Kurno somehow stood up and used her glowing Eyes of Hector.
Mana began coming from both of their bodies.
Tai Yang looked at her.
They both moved toward each other.
BOOM!
Smoke spread everywhere.
The clash created a massive slash through the mountain.
Kurno began walking.
Tai Yang was about to fall, but he used his sword to support himself and remained standing.
Tai Yang was bleeding.
"She's strong."
Blood dropped onto the ground as Kurno walked.
She was also bleeding, with more injuries than Tai Yang.
Kurno eventually fell.
Tai Yang looked at her.
"Guess I shouldn't have damaged her like that."
Kurno was kneeling.
For a moment, she had a flashback.
When their swords had clashed, she remembered Tai Yang's words:
"In my eyes, your pride… you say it's gone."
The flashback ended.
"Whether it's confidence or not, I can't really say. But he really is alike."
She looked at Tai Yang, who was half-conscious.
Vianic held Kurno.
"Let's go from here."
Cav asked,
"We're not going to kill him?"
Kurno looked at Tai Yang.
"Somehow, since he is very injured, we can't leave him like that. He's good. I trust him."
She smiled.
Vianic took Kurno with him, and Cav followed them.
Tai Yang looked around.
"I guess I defeated her? I guess."
He looked around again.
"No Bear-Headed Monsters… I guess I can say this mission is complete."
His sword fell from his hand.
Tai Yang fell down.
Scene shifted.
Tai Yang was covered in bandages.
Hiroshi said,
"I didn't see any threat from the C-2-7. You defeated most of them, and especially, you managed to defeat Kurno Benifer. I would say you did a good job."
Tai Yang said,
"Can't really say that, but yeah, she was very strong. But I guess I defeated those C-2 Bear-Headed… whatever you call them."
Hiroshi said,
"However, I'm not sure that the C-2-7 are fully defeated. They were already defeated by you and them before, but I would still say they will spawn again. If you remember, the same thing happened that time too."
Ren said,
"Welcome back, my thumb-headed junior."
Tai Yang looked at him.
"Hey, you can't call me that. Also, you're not that much older."
Ren said,
"Well, I'm five years older than you. What do you mean?"
Tai Yang replied,
"Well, it doesn't matter. You're dumb."
Ren looked at him.
"Come on, you can't treat someone like that. You got half-trained by me."
"Training? It was just a warm-up."
The moment was funny.
Ren said,
"Anyways, rest. We'll do the training soon. You're my rival, after all."
Tai Yang smiled.
"Oh yeah."
Someone suddenly came from behind and hugged him.
"Big brother, you're back! What happened to you?"
It was Lan.
Tai Yang said,
"Nothing. I just got some injuries."
Lan looked at him.
"Does that hurt?"
"No, not that much. I'll be alright."
Tai Yang looked up at the sky as the sun began to set.
"This looks good. I wonder how Kurno is doing. I didn't injure her that much, did I?"
Scene shifted.
Kurno was resting.
Someone came in.
A shadowy young man appeared.
"So, tell me, Kurno Benifer. You were defeated by this boy named Tai Yang?"
Kurno looked at him.
"My lord, it's you."
She tried to half wake up from her bed for a moment.
The shadowy man came closer. His clothes were exposed, revealing Victorian-style clothing, but his face remained hidden in the shadows.
He sat on a chair beside her bed.
"Oh, you don't need to push yourself, Kurno. Just tell me what really happened. I want to know."
Kurno said,
"He was very strong. I would say he has a blue beast inside him."
Also, to be genuine, he is likely like the one I knew from the past. He is the same as "…"
Her lips moved, but no sound could be heard.
The shadowy man said,
"I see."
Kurno said,
"Did I say something wrong, my lord? Or is it something personal?"
He stood up.
"No, you're not."
The man in Victorian clothing began walking away.
As he walked, he saw Vianic there, but he ignored him.
Then his face entered the sunlight.
It was Konsoon.
He suddenly transformed into thousands of bats and vanished.
Konsoon stood on the balcony.
Tai Yang was looking at the sunset.
Konsoon looked toward him and said,
"Now, this will be fun."
Scene shifted to a frog-headed man standing in front of his Bear-Headed army.
"I will destroy every kingdom with these! Hahhhh! Hahhhhhhh!"
He laughed in a creepy way.
Above the sun, we saw him laughing.
The scene ended.
Tai Yang was smiling. He was fully recovered, as if nothing had happened.
Hiroshi said,
"I am sort of impressed that your body healed so quickly. It's very unexpected to have this amount of healing ability."
Tai Yang opened and closed his fist.
"Yeah, I'm feeling a lot better now. Let's train, so I can find those C-2-whatever-you-called-them."
Hiroshi said,
"C-2-7 can be very dangerous. From what I've seen, they eat humans, and they're made from humans. From what I've been seeing, what you have killed has already been collected by our members. It's very shocking that they can grow and develop their abilities. So you need to see if they can do anything now. I've only searched a little bit so far."
Tai Yang said,
"I guess I can do what needs to be done. I won't hesitate, really."
Scene shifted.
Konsoon was in a meeting with the council.
Richard said,
"Lord Konsoon, as we have seen these things, we are very sorry that Rome's name has been put in a very bad way because of the slaughter that happened. And regarding Albert's death, I would say we could somehow kill the culprits who did it. As for the Luciferism people, as you have said, many council members here say the same thing. By seeing all of this, however, we will have our new event in your kingdom and other places as well."
He sat down.
Another council member said,
"About the mayor, who will be the new mayor?"
Konsoon said,
"Did you really ask me? As a patriot, I might suggest you add Sha Wujing."
"(Norway)."
Richard said,
"Sha Wujing? Correct me if I'm wrong, but he is also known as the 'Sand Monk.' He once ruled the northern side."
Konsoon said,
"Correct."
Richard continued,
"And I hear you have a great relationship with him, right?"
Konsoon didn't reply and simply smiled.
Richard said,
"There fore people of your people will rule these land ?"
Another council member said,
"That sounds very good, though."
Another one asked,
"Is that monk, whatever he is, trustworthy?"
Konsoon said,
"Well, he is trustworthy. I can even say—"
While he was speaking, a man with a long brown coat and long, messy hair appeared. He was wearing a full-length long garment, with sand moving around him.
Someone said,
"Hey, who are you?"
He didn't reply.
He killed him.
Konsoon continued,
"He is very powerful, and he has the charm of a leader's personality. He might be the best."
He walked away.
Konsoon said,
"I don't see anyone else who could be the leader here."
Richard said,
"Okay. As we all agree, he might be the new mayor. It's a big decision, and we need to think about it carefully."
Scene shifted to Tai Yang.
Tai Yang and Ren were training with their swords.
Ren said,
"Tell me, Tai Yang, what is your current goal?"
Tai Yang looked at him.
"What?"
Ren said,
"After all, you defeated her, right? What is your goal now?"
Tai Yang said,
"I don't know, but my future goal will be to protect."
He smiled.
Ren said,
"I see. But I'm asking about your current goal. I would say people really do think about the future only. No one talks about their current goals—the things they want to face right now. It's like a daily routine. I would suggest that is—"
Tai Yang was walking toward a small house, with Ren walking alongside him.
Tai Yang said,
"Where are we going?"
Ren said,
"You know."
They continued walking.
Tai Yang looked ahead.
"I see. It's the pocket dimension again, huh?"
He smiled.
Konsoon was looking at the sunset through the window.
"It's been a long time. Don't you agree?"
Someone was kneeling behind him.
It was the same man in the brown coat.
Konsoon called his name.
"Sha Wujing."
The man was revealed to be Sha Wujing. His coat was floating around him.
He smiled.
"Yeah, my lord."
