"Brother… did he just break through?" Bulla, who had been rushing to rescue Trunks, froze mid-air.
Her wide eyes reflected Trunks' new form; his once-blue, flowing hair now blazed a deep crimson. But more than his striking transformation, what unsettled her most was the eerie emptiness she felt. From Trunks' body, she couldn't sense even the faintest trace of ki.
Her small head tilted, filled with confusion.
On the other side, however, Gohan understood immediately.
He recalled the moment yesterday when Trunks first transformed into a Super Saiyan God; his aura had vanished then as well. Now, as he studied Trunks, the similarity was undeniable. The crimson hair was the clearest sign.
Yet there was a stark difference: this time, Trunks retained his Super Saiyan 4 physique. Yesterday's transformation had left him looking leaner, almost delicate. Now, his frame remained powerful and wild, radiating primal strength.
But soon, Gohan realized the truth: Trunks' ki hadn't disappeared at all.
No, it was still there, hidden beneath something greater, cloaked under a divine veil he could barely sense.
Trunks flexed his fingers, excitement sparking in his eyes as he admired his newly ascended body.
He could feel the divine energy coursing through him, pulsing in rhythm with his heart.
Slowly, step by deliberate step, he advanced toward Black Goku and Zamasu, his voice dripping with mockery:
"What's wrong, my dear god? Where's all that divine aura you were so proud of a moment ago?"
His words were venomous, his gaze sharp, as if he were staring at nothing more than a pair of clowns. Black Goku and Zamasu exchanged uneasy glances, both now fully aware of what had happened.
It was Trunks. He was the one who had torn them apart. Zamasu's stare fixed on him, trembling as he sensed the terrifying change in Trunks' presence. His hands shook as he muttered to his counterpart:
"The other me… You can handle this, right?"
Black Goku smirked with confidence, replying smoothly, "Heh. Relax. Even separated, there's nothing to fear. If anything… this body will only grow stronger. This brat---"
His sentence never finished as a hand suddenly filled his vision.
It was Trunks' hand.
In a blur, Trunks' grip clamped down on his throat, lifting him effortlessly. In his other hand, a blazing Ki blade materialized, raised high above his head.
"Stronger, huh? Saiyan bodies are convenient, aren't they?" Trunks' voice was cold, each word cutting deeper than the blade he held.
"You are quite clever in trying to abuse the Saiyan trait of power surging after near-death experiences? The problem is… You won't live long enough to take advantage of it." A humorless smile curved his lips as he spoke.
"You're pathetic, Zamasu. You talk about wiping out humanity… yet you rely on a human body. A god like you… is revolting."
Before Black Goku could respond, before he could even think of a retort, Trunks struck.
The Ki blade pierced his abdomen with ruthless precision.
Blood oozed from the wound, and Black Goku's eyes widened in shock. He writhed violently, glaring at Trunks with rage and disbelief.
The next instant, Black Goku roared, his body igniting with energy as he forced himself into his Rose Super Saiyan 3 form.
But Trunks was merciless.
Another flash of light, another stab. This time, the blade plunged into his chest, deeper than before.
"Damn you!! Let him go!!" Zamasu's furious scream echoed through the battlefield as he hurled an energy blast at Trunks.
But Trunks had already sensed it. With a single swing of his blade, the blast was cleaved in half and dissipated into harmless sparks.
Trunks turned his head slightly, his expression calm, voice steady. "Gohan, this one's yours."
Gohan nodded without hesitation, blasting forward toward Zamasu. An overwhelming pressure slammed into Zamasu's body like a tidal wave, freezing him in place. For all his immortal body, he suddenly felt powerless. His mind raced, but no plan surfaced, only one instinct screamed within him: Run.
Whoosh!
As a Kaiōshin-in-training of Universe 10, Zamasu possessed the same Instant Transmission technique once used by Kibito. In the blink of an eye, he vanished from the battlefield.
Trunks' gaze flicked to the side, already sensing Zamasu's escape. A cold chuckle escaped his lips as he tightened his grip on Black Goku.
"How fitting, Zamasu," Trunks sneered. "So this is how a god behaves?"
Without waiting for a reply, Trunks drove his ki blade into Black Goku's body again and again.
The already battered vessel was reduced to a mangled ruin, blood pouring from every new wound, staining the air with the sharp scent of iron.
Black Goku's breaths came shallow and ragged, yet his voice remained steady, his arrogance unbroken.
"Heh… You'll never find him," he rasped. "He can appear anywhere… anywhere in this world. As long as he lives, the Zero Mortals Plan will continue."
His half-lidded eyes gleamed with unshakable resolve, even at the edge of death.
Trunks smirked coldly. "Is that so?"
"Do you want to know why I broke through?"
"In our battle just now, your Divine Ki… awakened mine. The divine energy within both of you resonated with me. I've already mapped every trace of your power."
Before Black Goku could react, Trunks raised two fingers to his forehead. With a soft whoosh, he vanished. Black Goku's eyes widened in disbelief. And then, a young woman stood before him.
Bulla's gaze burned with unbridled fury, her expression twisted into a cruel smile.
"Do you remember me, Dark One?" she asked mockingly.
Black Goku's mind raced back to yesterday, their first encounter.
"Heh. I should've crushed you then…," he spat through clenched teeth.
CRACK!
Her fist slammed into his forehead with bone-rattling force, launching him backward like a ragdoll.
"You've killed so many… you don't even remember who I am, do you, Dark One?!" Bulla roared.
Golden energy crackled in her palm, swirling and condensing. The air trembled around her as she summoned the Final Flash.
Black Goku's instincts screamed, but he made no move to resist. His pride would not allow it. He closed his eyes, surrendering himself to death, confident that his immortal counterpart would see the plan through.
But a sudden, chilling sensation crawled down his spine. His body tensed. His eyes snapped open, And there stood Trunks, one hand clamped around Zamasu's neck.
"Took a bit of effort," Trunks said casually, his crimson hair swaying in the wind. "This one really knows how to run."
"Now… watch closely as I end him."
He turned to Bulla, nodding once. The energy in her hand blazed brighter, becoming a blinding sun of destruction.
"Do it."
With a fierce scream, Bulla unleashed the Final Flash. The colossal beam of light swallowed Black Goku completely, erasing him from existence.
…
From the shadows, another figure observed in silence.
A dark silhouette, cloaked in mystery, had witnessed every moment of Black Goku's demise.
"So… that's how it is," the shadow murmured.
In an instant, it was gone. Vanished without a trace.'
