Son Goku's body trembled violently. His eyes locked onto the mysterious and overwhelmingly powerful Beerus before him, and a flash of surprise passed through his gaze, followed by genuine admiration.

Pan was already in tears.
In that instant, Goku thought of everything. If he fell here, everyone would be destroyed, their souls scattered. Veins bulged across his forehead as he roared with his teeth clenched: "Damn it! I will never let you destroy Earth!"
A towering red flame erupted around him like a blazing inferno. The sky above Goku's head seemed to turn red in that moment.
Suddenly, on the other side, a power equal to Goku's exploded outward.
Vegeta shot forward like an arrow toward Beerus.
He bellowed: "Damn you, Kakarot! Who told you to shoulder everything alone? Did you forget about me?!
"Aaaaahhhh!!! Beerus!"
Vegeta's body twisted as his tightly clenched fist was engulfed in a red flame. With thunderous force, he punched the side of Beerus's face.
At that moment, Goku and Vegeta seemed to share an unspoken bond.
Their auras resonated with each other.
Goku finally pushed Beerus's hand blade away from his neck.
Beerus remained unconcerned; even as the two erupted with power, he shifted his body slightly.
But the very next second, the fists of Vegeta and Goku grazed past Beerus's body like lightning.
Beerus's expression finally grew serious. Gone was the casual, half-hearted attitude from before and the expression on his face tightened sharply, and he finally released the hand he had kept behind his back.
However, due to his carelessness, the two Saiyans' fists had already landed squarely on his face.
It was a left-right pincer attack and Beerus finally paid the price for his negligence. His body was blasted through the air until he skidded to a stop beside a lakeshore.

The colossal energy pillar, over a hundred meters in diameter, reflected brightly in Beerus's eyes.
He calmly closed his eyes.
From afar, the onlookers began to smile.
It was as if everything had been decided, as if the battle's conclusion were already clear.
But only one person didn't think so was: Gohan.
Another person whose face showed no reaction at all was: Whis.
Gohan turned to look at Whis. He had not participated in the fight from beginning to end. He simply stood there quietly, watching Beerus battle as though he understood Beerus's power perfectly.
Suddenly, Whis's lips moved as he spoke: "Oh? Is Lord Beerus about to get serious?"
The moment those words left his mouth, far away, Beerus suddenly opened his eyes.
