Chapter 136 - Chapter 136: Shadows Within!

Tsunade immediately noticed something unusual about the young man before her. His chakra reserves were immense—far beyond what she had expected. And this time, he wasn't borrowing the Nine-Tails' chakra.

This wasn't the original Naruto's body.

Yet the chakra he carried dwarfed even the real Naruto's. The sheer volume of it could only belong to someone with Uzumaki blood.

"You're from the Uzumaki Clan, aren't you?"

Tsunade asked, her sharp eyes fixed on the masked figure known as the Umbrella's leader.

Naruto allowed his aura to spill outward—powerful and oppressive, the unmistakable pressure of a shinobi on par with the Five Kage, and not an ordinary one at that.

He had no reason to conceal his strength here. Displaying it openly was the best way to earn Tsunade's recognition.

He smiled faintly. "You could say that."

Without further explanation, he turned and strode toward the hospital.

Tsunade's gaze lingered on his back, a flicker of puzzlement in her eyes. It was true that scattered remnants of the Uzumaki Clan still existed in the world. But someone so young, carrying such overwhelming power… that was rare indeed.

Naruto offered no clarification. With his half-Uzumaki blood, the claim was not untrue.

Tsunade and the others followed him inside. In a spacious room that doubled as a meeting hall, Naruto sat down on a chair, casually patting the leather cushion.

He looked up at Tsunade, who studied him intently with her sharp, amber eyes.

"Can I see your true face?" she asked suddenly.

Naruto interlocked his fingers and rested them on the table. A subtle, commanding aura filled the room.

"That will have to wait. My current identity cannot be revealed. There will be time for that in the future. For now, let's focus on Kimimaro's treatment."

He gestured toward the long rectangular table meant for meetings. "Sit."

Tsunade complied, taking a seat. Zabuza moved to join them, but Naruto's voice stopped him.

"Zabuza, take Kimimaro for a walk. I'll handle things here with Tsunade."

Zabuza hesitated for a moment, then nodded. He likely wouldn't understand the medical conversation anyway. Leading Kimimaro out, he left the two alone.

Once the door closed, Naruto's tone grew serious.

"Tsunade, you understand the severity of Kimimaro's condition. He is important to me, so I need you to cure him."

At the mention of this, Tsunade's expression hardened. After a long pause, she admitted,

"I don't know much about the Kaguya clan's bloodline disease. With their entire clan wiped out, there are no case studies to draw from. I can't say I'm confident in curing him."

"That's fine," Naruto replied calmly.

"That's why I'm here to help you."

Only then did Tsunade recall Zabuza's words—that the Umbrella's leader was also a medical specialist. She tested him with a few casual questions about Medical Ninjutsu, expecting vague answers.

Instead, Naruto replied with clarity and precision. His explanations were so articulate they startled her.

Her curiosity piqued, Tsunade pressed further. Soon, the two of them were deep in discussion. And the more she heard, the more astonished she became.

Naruto's knowledge rivaled her own, and in some areas, even surpassed it. He proposed concepts she had never considered before—ideas drawn from another world, principles that offered her new insights.

Most striking were his thoughts on the specialization of Medical Ninjutsu.

In the shinobi world, medicine was still largely rooted in herbal remedies. A few modern practices had developed, but they were far from refined. Konoha's medical system was the most advanced, bolstered by the use of chakra in treatment. Surgeries were augmented by ninjutsu, and even life-threatening injuries could be healed with the Mystical Palm Technique.

But this strength came with a flaw: every Medical Ninja was expected to be nearly omnipotent. They needed vast knowledge and prodigious talent—standards so high that only a handful could ever succeed.

Naruto's proposal was revolutionary: dividing the field into specialized branches. Instead of forcing every healer to master all disciplines, each could focus on a particular field. The difficulty of training would drop, the number of capable Medical Ninja would rise, and the field itself would flourish.

Tsunade's eyes gleamed. It was a vision of the future—one she had never considered, yet one that made perfect sense.

"It's hard to believe someone as young as you can think this way," she admitted softly.

To her, the masked man before her looked like someone in his twenties. What she didn't realize was that Naruto was even younger than she imagined.

Naruto chuckled lightly. "Hahaha, genius has no age."

Naruto chuckled as he spoke. Though his words carried a hint of arrogance, they didn't make Tsunade uncomfortable in the slightest.

"Let's go. You've learned enough theory about my medical skills—what's left is practical application!"

"We also need to assess Kimimaro's condition properly before deciding on treatment."

Naruto rose to his feet as he said this, and Tsunade followed him out. Together, they found Zabuza and Kimimaro. At that moment, Zabuza was taking the boy for a slow stroll.

Kimimaro's pale eyes shifted curiously, taking in everything around him. Compared to Orochimaru's dim and oppressive bases, this place was filled with light. The people here smiled openly, their expressions warm and unguarded.

Orochimaru's hideouts had always been buried underground, the kind of places where sunlight was rare. Here, the air felt freer.

And yet—Kimimaro's heart still longed for Orochimaru.

His existence only had meaning in Orochimaru's presence.

Naruto and Tsunade approached.

"Kimimaro, we'll need to conduct a detailed examination of your body next. Please be prepared."

The boy nodded calmly. He was used to this. In Orochimaru's hideout, Kabuto had examined him countless times, drawing his blood again and again.

Kimimaro followed Naruto into a specially prepared room filled with high-precision medical equipment.

"Lie down," Naruto instructed, his white coat giving him the air of a true doctor.

Tsunade also slipped on a coat, her natural poise making her appear even more striking. Naruto quickly averted his gaze, muttering inwardly, She's over fifty… stop thinking about it, stop thinking about it.

Kimimaro lay down on the bed. Naruto activated a diagnostic machine, letting its light scan across Kimimaro's body, while simultaneously weaving Medical Ninjutsu to probe his internal organs.

The machine's display revealed several troubling shadows within.

Tsunade stepped closer, performing her own chakra-assisted examination. A solemn expression settled on her face, mirrored in Naruto's.

"To truly understand the extent of Kimimaro's illness… we may need to perform surgery," Naruto said gravely.

"Surgery?" Tsunade froze. "That would mean… blood."

"Doctors aren't afraid of blood. They see—" Naruto stopped mid-sentence, smacking his forehead. He had nearly forgotten.

Tsunade. The Legendary Sannin. The greatest medical ninja in the world.

And yet… she was paralyzed by hemophobia.

This was no small obstacle.

Naruto frowned inwardly. Hemophobia wasn't insurmountable—it was psychological in nature. But that also made it the hardest kind of wound to heal.

If Tsunade couldn't overcome this fear, then achieving the breakthroughs he envisioned in medical practice would be next to impossible.
