Ōtsutsuki Planet
This was an extraordinarily massive planet, home to tens of millions of members of the Ōtsutsuki Clan. The birth of an Ōtsutsuki was incredibly difficult, yet every single one possessed extraordinary innate talent that far surpassed ordinary races.
In addition to their own power, the Ōtsutsuki Clan also commanded a vast White Zetsu army. Many planets were unable to resist even this force alone.
White Zetsu filled the battlefield like an endless ocean. Given enough numbers, they could even overwhelm Six Paths–level powerhouses. No matter how powerful a Six Paths–level shinobi was, their chakra would eventually run dry.
However, not all White Zetsu were ordinary soldiers.
Among them existed special elites known as White Zetsu Generals. These were extremely difficult to cultivate and far more powerful than regular units. Some of them even possessed the Rinnegan.
Ordinary White Zetsu were essentially expendable troops. But a White Zetsu General was a valuable asset that even the Ōtsutsuki Clan would not casually sacrifice.
Inside a magnificent palace, a man clad in battle armor stood with an imposing presence.
His black armor emitted a faint glow. Upon closer inspection, the glowing patterns were actually countless microscopic runes carved into the armor itself.
Only three people were present in the hall.
One of them was Ōtsutsuki Shiki, the commander who was preparing to invade the Ninja World.
The other two were his trusted confidants—one a Half-God Fourth Turn, the other a Half-God Fifth Turn.
A majestic voice echoed through the palace.
"This is my last chance."
"Everyone thinks I am exceptionally warlike. But long ago, I obtained a supreme treasure capable of predicting destiny."
His tone carried a trace of regret.
"Unfortunately, it was a one-time-use item. Otherwise, I could have gained far more."
"Only by becoming a True God can one break free from the shackles of destiny."
"Amaterasu-shiki has withdrawn from worldly affairs precisely because she seeks to become a True God. She wants to exist freely for eternity."
"All things decay with time."
"Only a True God is eternal."
Ōtsutsuki Shiki had once obtained that supreme treasure of destiny and received fragmented information from it. Since that moment, he had embarked on an endless path of conquest.
The information he received consisted of only a few scattered phrases.
True God.
Eternity.
Reboot.
And the path he himself must follow.
From that day forward, his strength began to rise at an astonishing speed. Eventually, he even caught up with Ōtsutsuki Amaterasu-shiki, the prodigy hailed as the greatest genius the clan had produced in ten thousand years.
Amaterasu-shiki possessed the purest Amaterasu power within the Ōtsutsuki Clan. Her flames could burn even the origin of the universe itself, making her one of the most terrifying beings in existence.
Shiki's overwhelming strength was one of the key reasons he was able to ascend to the position of Clan Head.
Once he became Clan Head, he gained access to the enormous resources of the Ōtsutsuki Clan. With those resources at his disposal, his strength continued to rise even further.
According to the fragments of information he had received, a terrifying event would occur in the distant future.
Only a True God could survive it.
As for Amaterasu-shiki, Shiki suspected that she must have received information from the True God Ancestor as well—very likely the same incomplete message he had obtained.
Ōtsutsuki Shiki glanced at his two subordinates.
Under normal circumstances, both of them were already qualified to join the Elder Council. However, because they had grown under his patronage and relied entirely on the resources he provided, they had chosen not to join the council.
Instead, they remained in the battle division under his command.
In addition, Shiki had already won over several Elders.
As long as he reached Half-God Ninth Turn, he would possess the qualifications to formally compete for the position of Clan Head with the support of the Elder Council.
A Half-God Ninth Turn powerhouse was also known as a True God Seed.
Shiki's gaze turned cold.
"I have a premonition that the Ninja World is my final opportunity."
"If I miss this chance, I will forever be suppressed by that woman."
"So this time… we cannot fail."
"Mobilize all of our hidden forces."
"And ignore the existence of the Elder Council."
His voice carried a grim determination.
The two subordinates stared at him with blazing eyes filled with fanaticism.
On the surface, the invasion of the Ninja World appeared to be nothing more than revenge.
But in reality, it served three purposes.
First, it was a test of the Elder Council's authority.
Second, it was Shiki's attempt to seize the position of Clan Head.
And third—
It was the final opportunity that destiny had revealed to him.
He was certain this was the guidance of fate.
The time had come.
At that same moment…
Within the ancestral land of the Shinigami Clan, an indistinct figure stood silently before a man who bowed respectfully.
"Old Ancestor," the man asked cautiously, "do we also need to participate in this battle?"
The mysterious figure remained motionless.
A calm and ancient voice slowly echoed through the hall.
"There is no need."
"His growth has been far too rapid—far beyond our expectations."
"If he cannot even overcome this stage…"
"Then he was never our hope to begin with."
The man's expression immediately turned grim.
"But Old Ancestor," he insisted, "this opportunity is clearly extremely important. The small assistance we could provide would not be meaningless."
"Ten thousand years for one reincarnation."
"Such an opportunity does not appear every cycle."
The mysterious figure slowly shook his head.
"No."
"I have witnessed beings even more heaven-defying than him."
"Those individuals possess something called a 'system.'"
"It is an extremely abnormal power."
"There are many types of it. Some are weak… while others are terrifyingly powerful."
"The system possesses a mysterious power that can turn decay into miracles. It can even elevate an otherwise ordinary Six Paths–level individual to a state approaching the True God level. Yet in the end… they still failed. Do you know why?"
The man's expression changed dramatically. Shock flashed across his face, followed by deep unwillingness.
"Is it really that difficult?"
In his eyes, advancing from an ordinary existence to near True God level was already unimaginable. After all, he himself was a Half-God Ninth Turn expert of the Shinigami Clan. To him, a Six Paths–level shinobi was nothing more than an ordinary being.
Yet even someone who rose from that level could not reach True God?
The mysterious figure spoke calmly.
"You cannot retain memories. That is why you do not understand the terror of the End of Era Calamity."
"When it arrives, everything is purified. All things begin anew."
"Only a True God can endure eternally."
After a brief pause, the voice grew heavier.
"But even a True God is insignificant before the End of Era Calamity."
"We can only watch as everything restarts… as the world reincarnates again and again."
"Cycle after cycle."
"Each time, the development of the world follows largely the same path."
The man fell silent, but the unwillingness in his heart grew stronger.
Since reaching Half-God Ninth Turn, what he had gained was not endless authority or glory.
Instead, he had gained something far heavier.
Fear.
This secret was known only to Half-God Ninth Turn experts, because only they possessed even the slightest possibility of stepping into the True God realm.
And it was only at that level that the True God Ancestor revealed the truth of the world.
Their world existed somewhere between illusion and reality.
After each great reincarnation, everything would reboot and develop again from the beginning.
There was only one anomaly in this endless cycle.
The Ninja World.
After every End of Era Calamity, a few individuals would always break free from the Ninja World and enter the wider universe.
Some of these individuals appeared repeatedly.
Sometimes it was the same person.
Sometimes someone else entirely.
But even when it was the same individual, their techniques, personalities, and paths of growth were often completely different.
This strange phenomenon gradually drew the attention of several True Gods.
After countless observations, they finally reached a conclusion.
The hope of breaking the endless cycle—the hope of abandoning illusion and preserving reality—might lie with these individuals.
Using the power of time, the True Gods began to observe them.
They discovered that at certain points in their lives, these individuals' experiences and personalities diverged drastically from their original trajectories.
The changes were so extreme that they could not possibly belong to the same timeline.
So the True Gods began observing parallel timelines.
Eventually, they confirmed something astonishing.
The existence of the Main World.
The so-called parallel timelines were nothing more than repeating loops.
They were like fragile bubbles attached to the enormous trunk of the Main World's timeline.
These bubbles possessed extremely low "true attributes."
And most importantly—
There were no True Gods within them.
Only the Main World could give birth to True Gods.
And only True Gods could retain their memories during the End of Era Calamity.
That was precisely how they had discovered the existence of the calamity in the first place.
In truth, the name End of Era Calamity was merely a term created by the True Gods themselves.
Every complete reset of existence…
was called an Era.
And when that Era ended—
The entire world would restart.
