Chapter 75 - Chapter 75 - The Inevitable Proposal

Some hours later, the cabin was immersed in a profound silence, broken only by the occasional crackling of the fireplace and the distant howl of the wind against the icy mountains. The meal had ended long ago; the plates were carefully stacked on the table, and the now-empty jade wine glasses reflected the golden light of the flames from the hearth...

Xia Qingyue remained seated, still as a snow statue, her hands clasped in her lap. Her expression was strangely troubled—something entirely foreign to her usual demeanor. Anyone who knew her would have been shocked to see her like this, for her countenance was normally as serene and unchanging as the still water of a well, devoid of any trace of emotion.

Yet, ever since meeting "Lord Ren Zu," even her profound art capable of freezing her feelings had proven useless. It was like snow cast into the sun: a single glance at him, or the mere sound of his voice, was enough to melt all her self-control. Her heart raced, her thoughts slipped from rational dominion, wandering down dangerous paths...

And it was not merely Ren Zu's extraordinary beauty that unsettled her. What truly disturbed her was the fact that he had offered her, without reservation, all the information about the Realm of the Gods—the destiny she so desperately longed to reach.

Yes, she had learned everything.

Over the past few hours, as she savored the delicious food prepared by "Lord Ren Zu," they had spoken at length about every detail. Xia Qingyue had laid bare all her doubts, from how one could reach the Realm of the Gods upon breaking through the Divine Profound Realm to the mechanisms behind such ascension. He explained that when the time came, she would understand it herself: she would be able to sense beyond the limits of this small planet.

She had also questioned him about the cultivation levels, and the young man before her revealed everything with precision. Divine Origin Realm, Divine Soul Realm, Divine Tribulation Realm, Divine Spirit Realm, Divine King Realm, Divine Sovereign Realm, and finally, Divine Master Realm. There were others above these, but the Seven Realms of the Divine Path alone were enough to leave her pale.

According to Ren Zu, each realm was farther, more arduous, and more inaccessible than the last. If she already found cultivating to the Tyrant Profound Realm exhausting, then advancing from the Divine Origin Realm to the Divine Soul Realm would be incomparably more difficult—like trying to cross an infinite abyss in a single step, or moving a star with the strength of a mortal's hands... But it was not the difficulty of traversing the Divine Path that disturbed her. According to Ren Zu, he possessed a method that could allow her to quickly reach the Divine Path and progress through it. He did not reveal all the details, but he had already proven his capability by giving her a pill and guiding her directly to the Tyrant Profound Realm. Yes, she had become a Ruler!

With just a single pill, her cultivation foundation remained perfect, and she not only broke through the limit to the Tyrant Profound Realm but reached the Third Level of that realm. Ren Zu further assured her that his true method would be superior and faster, and it did not rely on pills. As for the pill used, he explained it was something extremely rare, incapable of causing instability in cultivation, but it could only be taken once in a lifetime. This left her slightly disappointed, though the anticipation of growing stronger through the promised method was far greater...

Still, she could not help but find it strange that he was helping her so decisively. As a result, she asked why. The answer she received was disarming: "Why not?" Soon after, the incomparably handsome young man stated that he was interested in her, causing her to blush intensely; her emotions blossomed in a way she had never experienced before. It took her a long time to regain her composure. When she finally did, she asked what he meant by that, and he replied only that she would find out in time.

After discussing all the details about the Realm of the Gods and receiving a cultivation boost that left her so exhilarated she wondered if she was dreaming, the two finally moved on to the main topic. Xia Qingyue tried to learn more about her mother, hoping the young man before her could reveal something. And this search for answers triggered an emotional rollercoaster: feelings she had forgotten, never experienced, or that now slowly enveloped her, like an immortal wine capable of seducing and addicting...

During the conversation, she ended up mentioning her mother's name and everything she knew about her—her appearance and the few details she possessed. The young man showed immediate surprise. He then revealed that he knew about her mother, but the matter involved a Royal Realm, which was why he chose not to go into details, as she was not strong enough to know about it yet, and having that information would do her more harm than good. Even so, this simple revelation was enough to deeply shake her.

The truth, however, was more bitter: although she ardently wished to reach the Realm of the Gods to reunite with her mother, a part of her feared that she might no longer be alive. The only reason she avoided dwelling on that thought was her stubborn refusal to accept such a possibility. Beneath her coldness lay an unyielding determination...

So much so that, after a few minutes processing everything, her eyes involuntarily fixed on Ren Zu. He was reclining in his chair, his black hair falling like a nocturnal curtain over his shoulders, his half-closed eyes reflecting the flames with a serenity that almost seemed divine. From time to time, he brought the glass to his lips and took a slow sip of the remaining wine, as if time simply had no power over him.

With every gesture, something inside her... melted. The coldness she had cultivated her entire life cracked like thin ice under the sun. His flawless face, his low and serene voice, the patient and almost inhuman way he had explained everything... every detail seemed to conspire to make her completely enchanted.

Xia Qingyue bit her lower lip, trying forcefully to avert her gaze and focus it on her hands resting in her lap.

But it was useless. And she knew it.

Ren Zu seemed to catch her gaze—or perhaps he simply knew—and slowly turned his head. His black eyes met hers with a gentle, almost warm intensity.

"Is everything alright?" he asked. His voice was no more than a murmur, but it was enough to make the air around them vibrate.

Xia Qingyue blinked, feeling the blush threaten to rise once more. She nodded quickly—too quickly to seem convincing. She took a deep breath, invoking the Frozen Heart Arts to contain her own emotions. Even so, it was difficult—very difficult—with him there, so close, with those beautiful black eyes that seemed to eclipse the sun and moon, with that face and figure that resembled a sublime painting...

"Yes... I'm fine..." she finally replied.

Her voice sounded cold on the surface, exactly as it always had. However, there was a subtle stiffness in it, an almost imperceptible hint that that calm had been achieved by force. Her fingers intertwined more firmly in her lap, and her clear, perceptive eyes slowly rose to meet his.

"Lord Ren Zu... about my mother." She paused briefly, as if gathering courage. "If I truly want to see her again... what level of cultivation would I need to reach?"

Ren Zu turned his gaze to her calmly and answered without hesitation:

"At least the Divine Master Realm."

Xia Qingyue's body stiffened.

"Master... Divine." The air seemed to catch in her throat as she murmured the words. Divine Master... the pinnacle of the Divine Path, a realm that, from his explanations, already surpassed the imaginable. Even so, she nodded slowly, absorbing those words without retreating...

"Yes. At that level, you would have enough strength to protect yourself and involve yourself with Royal Realms without being immediately crushed. Below that... it would be far too risky. Very risky. But... your mother's situation is a bit complicated." Ren Zu's voice remained calm. There was no hesitation, no pity: "It's not something simple to resolve. So, even if you reach the level of a Divine Master, it would not be enough..."

Despair came quickly, like a sudden crack in the ice covering a deep lake. Xia Qingyue's eyes widened slightly, and for the first time in years, her voice emerged with an almost pleading tone—something she herself did not recognize.

"Complicated... why? Please, Lord Ren Zu... tell me. I need to know."

Ren Zu let out a long sigh and set the empty glass on the table. He interlaced his fingers, leaning slightly forward. His black eyes fixed on hers with an intensity so firm that Xia Qingyue had to hold her breath.

"I won't go into all the details now, but I can summarize what I know. Your mother was born into an ordinary family in the Moon God Realm. However, she possessed an extremely rare physique—one that appears only once every hundred thousand years, perhaps even longer. And according to what I've learned about that physique, those who possess it are capable of producing descendants with talents and bodies as extraordinary as yours."

Xia Qingyue furrowed her delicate brow, more or less understanding where this was leading...

"That was what drew the attention of the King of the Moon God Realm..." he continued without hesitation. "And eventually... she became his fiancée."

She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to control her breathing. The Frozen Heart Arts reacted instinctively, seeking to suppress the whirlwind threatening to overflow.

"She... was forced?" she asked, almost in a whisper.

Ren Zu shook his head slowly.

"There are no records indicating it was against her will at first. However, before the marriage could be consummated, she insisted on returning one last time to personally bid farewell to her parents. It was then that she suffered a brutal attack. She was gravely injured and... disappeared. No one in the Moon God Realm heard from her again after that."

He paused briefly before continuing:

"She fell to this small planet. Met your father, lived here... and the rest you already know."

Xia Qingyue swallowed hard.

"So... that was why she disappeared back then?"

Ren Zu nodded calmly and explained:

"Yes... that was very likely the reason. I don't know exactly everything that happened; what I know comes largely from what you yourself told me. Even so, all signs indicate that after falling to this planet, your mother suffered profound damage—not only to her body but also to her soul. Her memories of the Realm of the Gods, her identity, and even her strength... all of it was forgotten by her..."

He paused briefly before continuing, his voice firm and controlled.

"Only on the day of her departure did those memories very likely return, motivating her to leave and return, for along with them, her true strength also came back. The instant her aura re-emerged, even if only briefly, it was sensed. Had she remained in this world, her presence would eventually have drawn eyes that should never turn to this place. That would have been a catastrophe—not only for your brother, your father, and you, but for this entire small planet. It would have been reduced to dust. If the King of the Royal Realm discovered that your mother had remained missing all those years with another man, he would have done everything to erase every trace of her existence."

"Well, the good news is that the Royal Realm has no knowledge of your existence, which means that, for now, your mother is safe. Therefore, do not worry excessively about time... though you should not relax either. Many things can change in an instant. It would take only someone discovering this place by chance—perhaps while investigating where she went after disappearing—for your family to be revealed. If that reached the ears of the King of the Royal Realm, he would not hesitate to send subordinates to reduce this world to dust. In the end, it all comes down to strength. Without sufficient strength, there is no guarantee of anything."

"..." Xia Qingyue remained motionless, but inside she felt a torrent of intense emotions. Her lips trembled almost imperceptibly, and her clear eyes—once so cold and distant—now glistened with moisture. Anger, sadness, relief, fear... everything blended into a flood that the Frozen Heart Arts could no longer contain. For the first time in years, a solitary tear escaped, sliding slowly down her pale cheek, cold as a dewdrop on virgin snow.

The solitary tear descended slowly down her face, leaving a faint, glistening trail before disappearing at the delicate curve of her chin. She raised her hand to her face almost reflexively but stopped halfway, as if refusing to hide that belated weakness.

She bit her lower lip.

Hard.

The metallic taste of blood mingled with the chill in the air, helping her regain a minimum of clarity. The Frozen Heart Arts reacted once more—not to fully suppress her emotions, but to help her recover her composure.

When she spoke again, her voice was still low... but firm.

"If... the situation is like that..." she said slowly, each word chosen with extreme care: "Then what level would I truly need to reach to act without anyone being able to stop me?"

Her eyes rose once more, staring directly at Ren Zu. There was no longer confusion in them. Nor hesitation. Only a silent determination, cold as eternal ice.

Ren Zu observed her for a prolonged moment.

"If the situation directly involves a Royal Realm," he finally replied with absolute calm: "Then the safest minimum would be the peak of the Divine Master Realm..."

Xia Qingyue drew a deep breath.

"The... peak."

"Yes." Ren Zu nodded. "At that level, you would become a truly rare existence. One of the few profound practitioners to reach the pinnacle of the Divine Path. Your strength would lie not only in raw power but in the position it would grant you."

He continued, his voice serene, almost didactic:

"Even among the higher Star Realms, a peak Divine Master is an existence that cannot be ignored. Everyone would fear you. Even those who did not fear you... would think twice before touching you. Only in that way would you have enough power to resolve your mother's situation..."

Xia Qingyue clenched her fists.

"Then... I could find her and achieve my goal..."

"Yes. However," Ren Zu added without softening his tone: "There are still many variables."

She frowned slightly.

"Variables?"

Ren Zu nodded.

"No one truly knows the depths of a Royal Realm. Not even a Divine Master can act with complete certainty before them. There are hidden trump cards, ancient existences. Therefore, even at the peak... there would still be risks."

Silence settled once more.

Xia Qingyue closed her eyes for a brief moment, absorbing everything. After opening them, she looked in his direction with hopeful eyes and spoke again, this time with an almost cutting clarity:

"About the method Lord Ren Zu mentioned to Qingyue earlier... the one that does not rely on pills."

Ren Zu raised an eyebrow slightly—an almost imperceptible sign of interest.

"You want to know now?"

"Yes." She nodded...

Ren Zu remained silent for a few moments, gazing in her direction as he pondered. His black eyes were as clear and limpid as still water imbued with the immortal essence of his indescribable beauty...

"The method I mentioned... does not involve pills, external formations, or forced inheritances," he said with absolute calm. "It involves dual cultivation."

Xia Qingyue's world... stopped.

For a brief and dangerous instant, her mind went completely blank.

Dual... cultivation?

Her eyes widened imperceptibly, and her heart—which moments before she could barely hear—began to pound with an almost deafening force in her chest. A sudden heat rose from her abdomen to her face, making her ears burn. The Frozen Heart Arts reacted out of pure reflex and failed miserably.

She understood.

Understood far too quickly.

D-does that mean... that?

Her throat dried. Thoughts she had never dared to entertain arose without permission—vague images, undefined sensations, all jumbled with the face of the man before her—the most beautiful man she had ever seen in her entire life. Her body reacted before her reason could catch up, and the treacherous blush spread across her fair skin.

He... also desires my body?

That idea left her disoriented.

But in the same instant, she noticed something strange.

There was no lust in his eyes. No burning desire, no invasive gaze, no carnal hunger that she was accustomed to seeing in men. Only that deep calm, that almost inhuman serenity, as if he were speaking of something natural, logical... inevitable.

Before she could gather the courage to ask anything, Ren Zu continued calmly:

"I possess a unique physique, the Immortal Jade Dragon Physique. It is the number one physique under the heavens for dual cultivation. If you sleep with me just once, your cultivation would advance directly to the Sovereign Profound Realm, I imagine...? In fact, I am almost certain you could reach up to the Sixth Level of the Sovereign Profound Realm! And if we maintain regular relations, you would ascend to the Divine Path in a short time. The benefit would be mutual, but for you... it would be exponential, because my cultivation is far higher than yours... But the main advantage is that my physique also shares talents and comprehension, which in my case are far above yours... Combined with that, probably from just sleeping together once, your talent would increase hundreds of times..."

The silence that followed his words was almost absolute.

For a few moments, Xia Qingyue simply... could not react. Her heart was beating too fast. Fast enough to hurt. Her mind, which had always been clear and disciplined, seemed covered in thick fog. The words Immortal Jade Dragon Physique, dual cultivation, Sovereign Profound Realm echoed repeatedly, mingling with the image of him before her...

She clenched her fingers tightly in her lap.

Sleep... with him.

The mere formulation of that thought made her face burn even more. Although she had been married once, it all began when Yun Che's adoptive father risked his own life to save the infant Xia Qingyue. In gratitude for that act, her father, Xia Hongyi, promised to marry her to Yun Che in the future. However, due to her naturally cold personality and her cultivation of the Frozen Cloud Arts, she had maintained a distant and ambivalent attitude toward him from early on. In truth, she accepted the marriage only to fulfill the promise made by her father, without any emotional involvement, and never consummated the union.

Over time, her view of Yun Che began to change. Upon discovering the vast medical knowledge he possessed—especially when he diagnosed and treated the problems caused by cultivating the Frozen Cloud Arts—she developed sincere respect for him. That was why she protected their marriage certificate when he was expelled from the Xiao Clan.

A year later, they reunited at the Blue Wind Ranking Tournament, and she was surprised to find that Yun Che had become a young genius of extraordinary power. Though she initially maintained a cold posture, she remained faithful to the promise made in the past, giving him the items needed to restore his profound veins. Moreover, she continued to carefully guard their marriage certificate.

The true turning point in their relationship occurred during their joint exploration of the Heaven Basin Secret Realm. There, both faced a Tyrant Profound Beast and came dangerously close to death. To protect them, Yun Che pushed himself beyond his limits, risking his own life. Faced with the real possibility of losing him, Xia Qingyue did not hesitate: she sacrificed part of her own vitality in a desperate attempt to save him.

In that moment, believing she had finally understood her feelings for him, she confessed that she wished to become his wife, that he had won her heart. However, the outcome was cruel. Yun Che ended up dying in the Divine Phoenix Empire. After that, she made a silent vow to herself: to become stronger, focus solely on her goal, and never again allow such feelings to distract her.

She never imagined she could feel something similar again... until meeting Ren Zu.

From their first encounter, he had simply melted her heart with his very appearance. Curiosity arose almost immediately, followed by the desire to know him better. Over time, she learned about her mother, about the Realm of the Gods, and without realizing it, she became increasingly enchanted—not only by his incomparable beauty but also by his calm and gentle personality...

Just as Yun Che had left a deep impression through his extraordinary medical skills, Ren Zu left an even deeper mark on her heart—not only through his overwhelming power but through the kindness with which he treated her.

In the same way that, in the past, she believed she had understood her feelings for Yun Che, now everything seemed illusory in retrospect. What she felt for Ren Zu was simply impossible to put into words. He had saved her life, offered her a path to reunite with her mother, and given her hope to achieve her goal. Moreover, he was the most beautiful man she had ever seen in her entire life—she could not lie to herself by saying she was not so attracted to him that, were it not for her firm will, she would have already "forced" him.

Even knowing that Frozen Cloud Asgard prohibited relationships between men and women—due to the nature of the profound art, which would be transmitted to the partner—that rule had never been absolutely unbreakable. And although she deeply honored her sect and cared for her master, when it came to her family... she simply could not let go.

She could not stop wanting to do everything for them.

She could not stop desiring to follow this path, no matter the cost.

If not for the path Ren Zu had suggested, how long would it take her to reach her mother? Decades? Centuries? Perhaps not even an entire lifetime would be enough. Reaching the Divine Origin Realm alone was something she knew would require immeasurable time. Then, from that realm, reaching the Divine Master Realm—the pinnacle of the Divine Path... how long would that take? Thousands of years?

And by then, would her mother still be alive?

Although a profound practitioner's lifespan increased as their cultivation rose, she had no idea what level her mother had reached. She did not know how far she had gone or how much time she had left. Perhaps she would still be alive when Xia Qingyue gained the strength needed to reach her. Perhaps not.

She simply had no way of knowing.

Though it meant sacrificing her purity and doing that with him—something that, to her own surprise, aroused not the slightest feeling of rejection or repulsion—Ren Zu's words were far too rational to be simply ignored. In her mind, everything made sense. She could not see that proposal as something "wrong." If it had come from anyone else, she would have immediately dismissed it as disguised indecency, a veiled insult to her own dignity. But coming from him... there was no vulgarity at all.

Even so, that certainty troubled her.

Were these merely justifications she created to hide her own desire? The desire to become stronger quickly? Or the desire to be with him? The two feelings seemed to blend indistinguishably, intertwined to the point where she no longer knew where one ended and the other began.

Xia Qingyue felt her heart race, beating so hard it seemed to echo throughout the cabin. Her thoughts plunged into a chaotic whirlwind: involuntary images of him so close, touching her, the warmth of his body against hers... things she had never allowed herself even to imagine. The blush intensified, spreading across her face and down to her chest. Her hands gripped the fabric of her dress in her lap tightly, her fingers trembling slightly, as if trying to cling to some remnant of control...

Observing her in conflict with emotions she herself could not fully comprehend, Ren Zu sighed and leaned back in his chair once more. His eyes remained fixed on hers, filled with a patience that seemed infinite. One of the many reasons he considered the Frozen Heart Arts complete garbage was precisely that: by freezing one's own emotions, a person prevented any true emotional growth. Xia Qingyue was acting so differently from her "usual" self because that profound art simply did not work when it came to him.

To him, it was as obvious as daylight. His ability to understand others' emotions made everything far too clear: Xia Qingyue was in love with him. And the reason? He almost sighed with a touch of irony. It was far too simple to require elaborate explanations. After all, he was the most beautiful man in the Primal Chaos, and that was not narcissism—just a fact.

Moreover... he had used a little of his "charm," that peculiar trait granted by the aura of the Banished Immortal. Nothing exaggerated; just enough to hasten the blossoming of feelings already on the verge of blooming. Added to that was the fact that, during the entire previous conversation about the Realm of the Gods while they ate together, he had made an effort to engage deeply, leading her to experience intense and genuine emotions.

For someone whose heart had always been frozen, all of that was inevitably addictive. After all, one only learns the value of feeling... when one finally feels something.

That was why he had spoken so directly about dual cultivation and chosen to be honest—at least as far as it suited him. Understanding people's emotions was truly divine. That ability had elevated his powers of persuasion to an absurdly high level.

Manipulation?

Ah... no.

He had not manipulated Xia Qingyue.

All he had done was guide her to feel emotions she had never fully experienced: awaken curiosity, spark hope, instill fear, ignite desire. All through what seemed like a simple conversation. Then, little by little, he let the reality of the Realm of the Gods weigh on her, revealing just enough to make her feel cornered, desperate for strength.

Of course, he had not mentioned that she was the biological daughter of the King of the Royal Realm. Nor had he spoken of countless other truths. He said only what needed to be said to lead her to accept his proposal.

For someone desperate, whose goal required absolute power, the idea of obtaining it at the cost of her purity seemed acceptable—especially when she did not even realize she was already in love with him.

Was that despicable?

No.

After all, she liked him. And he... liked her too. In the end, all he had done was take the initiative. Perhaps in a slightly villainous way, it was true, but still an initiative.

Look on the bright side: if it were another man—someone with the same appearance and the same level of "charm"—he would have enslaved Xia Qingyue without hesitation, just as he would any woman who crossed his path. He, at least, had principles. Even if those principles were... questionable.

He did not force wills nor crush consciences. He did not break people to mold them to his pleasure. He preferred to guide, influence, allow them to choose—even if the choices were made under circumstances carefully prepared by him.

It was a twisted morality, without doubt. But still a morality.

In the end, he believed there was a clear difference between a tyrant dominated by his desires and someone who acknowledged his impulses but imposed limits on himself. Imperfect limits, immoral in certain aspects... but limits nonetheless. For example, what he had done with the Little Demon Empress had been, without beating around the bush, despicable. That was his greatest regret. But unlike "someone," he did not delude himself about it. He did not seek justifications nor try to soften the weight of his actions. That choice remained a stain that not even time had fully erased...

What he had done now with Xia Qingyue was different. Frankly, he had not done anything excessive. He had merely conversed, been honest in what he chose to reveal, and guided her to experience emotions that had always been denied to her. If feelings arose from that, it could not be considered a crime.

In the end, he bore no guilt for being beautiful.

And curiously, this time, he felt no regret at all.

After giving her time to process his words, he decided to continue the "conversation"...

"This is the only method I know to make you strong quickly." He sighed and said in a calm voice: "Earlier, you said you would do anything for your goal. That you would sacrifice everything. Is your determination... so weak that you would back down now?"

The words struck her like a gentle but precise blow. Xia Qingyue blinked, the blush still present, but her mind gradually clearing. He was not mocking her; he was testing her determination. And deep down, she knew he was right.

Her mother... her family... the vow she had made to herself.

Anything.

Including this.

She took a deep breath, forcing the Frozen Heart Arts to respond. The blush diminished slightly but did not disappear entirely. Her eyes rose, meeting his with renewed resolve, though still carrying a vulnerability she could not hide.

"I... will not back down." She replied, her voice low but firm. "If this is the path... I accept it."

Looking at his perfect face and knowing what she would have to do, Xia Qingyue lowered her gaze, her heart still racing, but now with a certainty that burned stronger than any doubt.

For her mother.

For everything.

She would do it.

(A/N: Good morning, everyone!

I wanted to ask—are you enjoying this format where each update is basically worth two chapters? Every chapter I post has around 5,000 words, so the plot ends up moving much faster, which, in my opinion, makes the story more satisfying to read.

Now, about Xia Qingyue: yes, she's surprisingly easy to win over. The secret? Just do exactly what Ren Zu did—exist and be handsome.

Jokes aside, there's an important reason for this. She believes Yun Che is dead, and because of that, she literally killed her own emotions. The problem is that our dear Ren Zu, with his unfair and inexplicable charm, ended up making her feel everything again.

In my view, Xia Qingyue has the emotional intelligence of a child, precisely because she went so long without feeling anything, without emotional growth. That doesn't mean she's stupid—quite the opposite. She has sharp eyes and an extremely perceptive mind, able to see through people and grasp their true essence. She's determined, tenacious, and fiercely independent. No one can force her to do anything. No one can change her mind. Only she decides her own path.

…But does that really matter?

Ren Zu is basically a walking cheat code. Now you understand why I gave him control over his own emotions. No matter how good Xia Qingyue is at reading people, it simply doesn't work against someone like him.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this development!

From now on, the two of them will start out as dual cultivation partners. The romance will come later, slowly and naturally. He will eventually reveal the truth about who he really is—don't worry, there won't be any plot holes (I already have the story he'll make up perfectly planned in my head).

Oh, and just so you know: the Little Demon Empress gave him permission to take more wives.

The only problem is that… she's kind of a yandere.

So… good luck to him.

Did you enjoy the chapter? Then you should know that over on my Patreon you can read up to 20 chapters ahead for just 5USD! And yes—for that price, you also get full access to all of my content. That's right: cheaper than a snack… and with way more drama, action, and guaranteed emotional damage.
