Subject: SCP-8937
Director House,
SCP-8937 is to be transferred to Area-14 effective immediately. Transport has been scheduled for 0400 hours on {REDACTED} at coordinates {REDACTED}. The subject is to be reminded that full compliance with all Foundation transport protocols for humanoid anomalies is mandatory.
Field reports and recent evaluations have indicated that SCP-8937 has not exhibited any incidents since the establishment of its current feeding cycle.
This stability in subject however does not negate the Foundation`s obligation and mission to minimize all potential risk for possible containment breach. This is especially true considering that SCP-8937 will be stationed at Area-14. You are directed to ensure that an adequate supply of "food" is provided to sustain SCP-8937 until it is full integrated and established at Area-14.
In addition, you are required to submit a comprehensive behavioral and psychological assessment of SCP-8937, along with an operational performance evaluation covering subject time as temporary Chief Demonologist.
Failure to do meet all requirements and orders listed will result in termination.
Area Director Thomas,
You are instructed to ensure all assigned personnel review and comply with current protocols and procedures regarding SCP-8937. Per directive, Director House will be delivering an adequate supply of approved "food" for SCP-8937, providing you sufficient time to prepare and designate the required D-Class individuals.
Confirm compliance upon receipt.

Good Morning [REDACTED],
I have attached all required documents regarding SCP-8937 evaluation here at Site-666. I have also obtained and secure the required amount of "Food" for SCP-8937. The "Food" is calculated to sustain SCP-8937 for approximately six months. I believe that six months is an appropriate amount of time for Area Director Thomas to secure and obtain more "Food" for SCP-8937.

Director House,
Excellent work. Area Director MacLean has been included in the correspondence above.
Director House, please conduct a full and formal turnover with Area Director MacLean to make certain that he is fully briefed on SCP-8937's current behavior and noted mannerisms. The Foundation cannot risk any avoidable incidents or containment irregularities at Area-14 at this time.

To : Thomas MacLean, Area Director of Area-14
Area Director MacLean,
SCP-8937 has proven invaluable in maintaining full compliance with Foundation containment protocols and has significantly reduced personnel exposure to hostile entities present at [DATA EXPUNGED]. Its assistance has been instrumental in preventing injuries and minimizing operational disruption.
Based on extended observation and daily interaction, I am confident that SCP-8937 would be a highly effective asset in advancing Foundation objectives. That said, I must emphasize several behavioral considerations critical to its continued cooperation.
SCP-8937 reacts negatively when treated as an object of containment. Such approaches have repeatedly resulted in decreased compliance and heightened agitation. Maintaining respectful and friendly manner has consistently yielded the most reliable behavioral outcomes, and I strongly advise you to do the same.
Furthermore, under no circumstances should the topic of "feeding" be raised in SCP-8937's presence. Any reference to this subject causes marked distress and can compromise operational stability.
Despite current documentation advising us to provide continuous tasks to prevent SCP-8937 from creating what it calls "artificial lifeforms," I must report that this directive is impossible. SCP-8937 does not require sleep and can complete long-term assignments in a fraction of the time that is normally required. Its drive to create these new lifeforms appears to possibly be due to its anomalies abilities and cannot be halted through workload alone.
It is my recommendation that SCP-8937 be formally integrated into the Biological Research Department. Its intelligence, creativity, and unusual capabilities present opportunities for advancement that could directly benefit field operatives and support staff alike. Provided the following conditions are upheld, SCP-8937 has shown that it can cooperate with Foundation mission:
Maintain a friendly and respectful demeanor.Avoid all references to its "feeding" requirements.Utilize its abilities within a structured research environment.
These recommendations are made in the interest of operational safety and maximizing the potential value SCP-8937 offers to the Foundation. I wish you success in your upcoming oversight of the entity.
Respectfully,
Dr. Randall House

Subject: Re: SCP-8937 Operational Recommendations
House,
Thanks for the briefing. I have stepped into enough messes over the years to know the worth of information regarding anomalies and SCPs.
Everything you've written lines up mostly with the after action reports I have read. That being said I'm not shy about using an asset just because it makes the researchers uneasy. Half the things that saved my team and my own life over the years made someone uneasy.
A few points:
"Respectful and friendly": Not my default stance, but I've commanded squads where the wrong tone could start a fight. If a lighter touch keeps 8937 cooperative, then that's the approach I will tell my people to use.Integration into Biological Research:Noted. I will have the researcher in the biological wing know that they will be expecting SCP-8937 to being working with them.
Thank you for the update.

"Starting personal audio log entry. The year is currently 1998. Starting test number 156 for experiment 127. Objective to determine if experiment 127 is fully functional and operational. Begin test"
I was inside my private lab, inside Playtime. I knew the Foundation didn't like that I was here, doing research. But, seriously screw those guys I had money and even more now thanks to Cloverfield and Wendy.
Experiment 127 was the construction insect that I had created. The thing looked like a mix between an ant and a termite. It had a large abdomen like that of a spider, it had a decent size head for its body, and finally it had the wings of a bee. It took me a long time to get to this phase. Experiment 127 could make the strongest spider silk and could make a form of concrete that was far better than reinforced concrete. I had established that 127 could make structures by itself, test 00-38 proved that fact. Test number 39-92 proved that experiment 098 could 'download' blueprints, understand them and build it. The other test determined that it could reproduce asexual and had a hivemind like control of its workers. This hivemind link worked with other queens as well, they all worked together to make an even better structure than what was listed in the blueprints. It was incredible to see them working. The final test was to see if they would really build a complete facility underground. And the best part of all of that was that I finally figured out how to make it so that they get energy from the tiny organic organism in the dirt.
I was going to let them start rebuilding this place. Playtime Company had already officially moved about three months after Wendy took over. This place was abandoned and had been for some time. I don't know why, but I didn't want to leave it like this. I was hoping that 127 could completely remake this place into something new and better. So, I wanted this to be their final test.
Looking at the queens who were just sitting there on the desk, I said.
"Have you guys downloaded what I asked?"
They nodded.
"Alright, then. I will be leaving this to you guys. Remember you have to fix this place up, and make a new area following the blueprints. Understood."
Again they nodded.
"Good. I cant wait to see what you make for me little ones."
With that I left to go to my office at Site-666. I wasn't worried about 127 going rogue or doing anything crazy. I made sure that the 'loyalty' gene was so far ingrain into them that it would be impossible for that gene to change or mutate.
Site-666 was officially up and running. With its completion it was time for me to finally turn over my position as Chief Demonologist to the new girl that was supposed to take my place here. Her name was Contessa Thorner, and no one would tell me anything else but her name. When I asked around, people would either ignore me or completely change the subject. Not sure how I felt about it, but I was just glad not having to be in this position anymore. It was tiring, I had to learn about how hell work, how the physics of sin worked, how demons behaved, their social structure, all of it. Thankfully, I had contacts to make the learning process easier.
I left the office and immediately went to go see House. I was ready to do this turn over and hopefully be lazy. When I got into his office, he was in the middle of a conversation with a small Caucasian woman who appeared to be in her late 40. She had black hair, with a hairstyle that looked like an anime character. She also wore the biggest glasses I have ever seen in my life. I wanted to question her….about everything really but decided to just ignore it.
"Sorry to interrupt, got your message about doing this and honestly forgot the time."
"hmm…Anyway this is Dr. Thorner, the one that will be taking over for you officially."
"Oh thank God, this position sucks."
"Right..moving on, please make sure to show Dr. Thorner around. I want to make sure that she is able to completely take over when you leave here. Oh, and this came in the fax for you. You are going to Area-14."
"Area-14? Cool, when do I leave?"
At that House started to look a little sheepish, and said.
"Well…you see the fax machine was acting up…so…"
"So. What?"
"You are leaving tomorrow at 4"
"4.?? Pm..am…"
"a.m."
"House."
"Yes"
"Nevermind"
I decided to just leave before House said something that would make me want to punch him in the face. I turned to look at Contessa and said.
"Contessa right? Come on. I don't have much time to show you around here."
I don't know if it was because she was a workaholic or maybe just liked her job. But, I could have sworn I literally saw her face brighten up and she looked like I had told her that I was going to be giving her gold.
"That would be fantastic. We will finish this conversation later, Site Director. If you would please excuse me, I need to understand what my job will entail."
I spent the rest of the day with Contessa, showing her where her office would be. Explaining how and why the demons haven't caused any problems. Told her that the archdemon Cloverfield ran the place, and that she should be respectful to her. I also showed her the brothels, and other places that the demons frequently went to. It was a long day, and for the first time every I could say with confidence that someone scared me.
It wasn't a normal fear; it was the kind of fear where I felt like I was constantly being watched. She apparently was eccentric about her love for demons, and demonology. The more I showed her the more…excited she got. I was glad that I wouldn't be in the same area as her. I might wake up to her doing some crazy ass ritual on me or worse…doing something to my body…I didn't want to think about it.
I was just glad to never, ever, ever see this woman again. It was 3:30 in the morning that next day. I was waiting by the bus stop, where to my surprise I saw House come up to me. He wasn't a morning person to any degree, so it was shocking for me to see him here. He had a coffee mug in his heads, and was wearing a suit on.
"Shocked to see me?"
"I am shocked to see you up. Why are you here?" I asked
"Wanted to say goodbye to you."
"What`s that suppose to mean."
"Its that I am glad that you were here, and I will miss you is all. Now with you gone I cant threaten the new staff using you as an excuse."
"Glad that is the only thing that you will miss."
House got quiet, and with a serious tone said.
"Look…Max, all joking aside it was nice having you around. Even if you gave me all those headaches and issues. You are a good person, please don't forget that."
"I will try not to."
That was the only thing that I could say. When the bus finally came I was happy to get away from the awkward moment that was happening between us.
