No matter who this young man was, he had put his body on the line to save Raven , and such selfless behaviour shouldn't be rewarded with distrust and paranoia.
Diana could understand what Bruce was getting at but it didn't mean she agreed with him.

"Bruce.." Clark gazed at the brooding back of his friend as he wondered if Bruce was brooding because of what Diana said earlier or because Batman was just always brooding.
Clark was more inclined to believe the latter, no amount of insults would be enough to get under Batman's skin.
Batman didn't reply as he continued to focus on the feed that was playing on the screen as he watched in slow motion how a portal opened up and this young man crashed through it on top of a car.
Batman's gaze was fixed on the way he vanished into shadows before appearing before Raven to tank a blow that destroyed his chest and had his heart crushed.
He was dead… but somehow he came back alive.
The scans revealed nothing out of the ordinary… Bruce preferred something more in-depth but refrained because Diana and Clark were extremely against it.
He had considered this young man a threat because it's Batman's job to consider the worst possible outcome.
It's not that Bruce was clamouring to lock this young man up but he certainly did want him to be contained securely… a sentiment Diana didn't appreciate… Women… they can be such a drag sometimes.
" You don't need to take what Diana said too seriously, she was just angry" Clark hesitated a bit before saying what was on his mind , he didn't think Bruce would get triggered by Diana's words and he should have understood that half of what Diana said was due to being pissed.
" I didn't.." Batman answered curtly without taking his eyes off the screen as he still continued working.
" Of course you didn't.." Clark just shook his head with a smile as she decided to accompany Bruce.
Despite what others and even Bruce may think about himself, Clark believed he was a good man.
His paranoia and cautiousness didn't come from a place of distrust but from a place of protection… At least that is what Clark believed.
Clark saw Bruce as family and he believed the Edgy Bat thought the same.…
