Albert nodded gravely. "Shall I prepare a message, Second Master?"
"No." Sebastian shook his head. "I'll go myself. Tonight. This is too important to trust to letters." He glanced at the closed door where Ophira worked to save his brother's life. "Whether that man was truly Elyon or not, the Council needs to be prepared. They need to be aware of the situation."
He turned to Albert. "Stay here. Watch over Adrian. And..." He hesitated, then added quietly, "Keep an eye on Lydia as well."
Albert bowed. "Of course, Second Master."
Sebastian took one last look at the door, his expression tight with worry. Then he strode down the corridor toward his chambers, his mind already racing with everything he needed to tell the Council.
Behind him, Albert stood alone in the blood-stained hallway, the weight of the night's events settling heavily on his shoulders.
