In the end, although Artoria's answer violated the rules of the question—which only allowed one choice—Morgan did not press the issue. She only told Artoria that after everything was over, she must return the Holy Sword to the lake, and then she sent them away.
Merlin, on the other hand, had some objections. He felt that Artoria had unknowingly strayed from his teachings and was now growing up 'crooked.' But to Artoria, who had been fully acknowledged by Excalibur and had found her own heart and purpose, no longer lost, Merlin was just throwing a tantrum. After all, the king raised by the 'King Maker' had ended up with a different philosophy than his. If that got out, it would be quite the joke.
As for Cang Ye and Morgan, all that can be said is that after rushing back to Camelot, the former received Morgan's 'loving punishment' for his earlier actions.
"A rival, is it? A friend, is it? Just a little acquaintance, is it?"
Morgan recalled the reluctant look in the frail Red Dragon's eyes as she looked back at Cang Ye every three steps before leaving, her face practically screaming 'I covet your knight.' The thought made her grind her teeth in frustration. To vent her anger, she pressed down harder with the foot that was on Cang Ye's bare back.
It's one thing to want both the sword and the sheath, but to want my knight after choosing? Are you planning to hold the sword in one hand, the sheath in the other, and ride my Lamorak between your legs?!
"How despicable and greedy you are, Arthur!" Morgan bit her lip hatefully, then stomped on his back again. "Speak! What is your relationship with her!"
Cang Ye was currently holding a plank position in the center of the room, with Morgan, barefoot and clad only in a thin negligee, standing on top of him. Hearing her words, even though he had explained it many times, a bitter smile appeared on his face as he tried to explain once more. "My lady Morgan, please calm your anger. I assure you, I have no improper feelings for Artorius. From beginning to end, my everything belongs to you."
"Hah. Then why didn't you kill her at all costs when I ordered you to?" Morgan sneered, crossing her arms. This simple explanation was not enough to quell her anger.
To this, Cang Ye fell silent for a moment before replying softly, "My apologies, Lady Morgan. I was just... too indecisive."
That was it. He was too indecisive. He deeply understood that he was Morgan's knight, and that for him, carrying out her orders and her will was the life principle of the knight Lamorak. Yet, at the same time, because of past bonds and his admiration for the girl, he hesitated, unable to strike the fatal blow. But this was Lamorak, the man incarnated from a water fairy, the Knight of Radiance.
As mentioned before, after Cang Ye had understood the ultimate meaning of water and accepted his nature as a water fairy, he had gained a heart of water, ever clear and pure. As transparent as a lake, noble, and able to see and know his own heart, but also as yielding and gentle as flowing water, capable of showing the decisiveness of a waterfall and the vastness of the sea when necessary. His personality had all the virtues of water, but also its indecisiveness and pliancy. This gentleness might make everyone who interacted with him feel comfortable and at ease, but at times, gentleness could also be the sharpest sword.
Seeming to sense the emotion in his voice, Morgan's anger finally began to subside. In fact, she knew very well that anyone in the world might betray her, but the one person who never would was Cang Ye. Her current anger was simply because Artoria had so blatantly expressed her desire for him right in front of her, like a child who encounters another child who wants their favorite toy. It had triggered Morgan's possessiveness.
After gradually calming down, she stopped pursuing the matter of his relationship with Artoria. After all, she was just a golden-haired loser.
She removed her foot from his back and instead sat down, crossing her legs. Feeling the soft pressure of her skin on his back, Cang Ye said nothing, simply maintaining his position. Morgan propped her chin on one hand, as if pondering something. In that moment, time seemed to freeze, the knight and his queen forming an ambiguous yet strange picture.
After a long moment, Morgan's soft murmur broke the silence. "Lamorak, you know what? I've changed my mind."
"I am listening, my lady Morgan."
"I once desperately wanted to be king, the king acknowledged by my father and my people, to ascend to the throne that was carved into my very being. But that was all. I only wanted to be king, but never considered what I should do after becoming one. Even now that I am the Queen of Camelot, I only look at what's in front of me, fulfilling the promise of the unfalling city, complacently guarding it."
Her voice was light, but he could hear the hidden weight within it. He didn't answer, continuing to listen.
"Until today, when I saw that person, that weakling created by my father and Merlin to compete with me for the throne, actually vowing to bear the burden of Britain's present and future. How ridiculous. She has no idea of the weight of that vow. With that frail body of hers, how can she possibly bear the burden of all of Britannia?"
"...But I am just as ridiculous, because I never even dared to dream of it."
"You need not feel ashamed, my lady Morgan. Judging by your achievements, you have already done more than enough," Cang Ye said, not wanting to see her look downcast or self-deprecating. In his eyes, Morgan could only be the noble and elegant Queen of Camelot.
But this time, he had clearly misjudged.
"Yes, Lamorak. I have done very well. That is an indisputable fact. But it's not enough. Do you understand, Lamorak? It's not enough."
As if having made a decision, he could feel a change in the aura of the person on his back. Her previously calm, even downcast, tone became serious and determined. "Since Arthur wants to grasp all of Britain, then I, who am more worthy of being the king of this land than her, will certainly not be outdone."
"Not just Camelot. I will become the king of all Britain, and plant the royal flag that symbolizes my ownership on every piece of land. The name of the unfalling city I have promised will not just be Camelot, but all of Britannia."
Morgan's hand slowly caressed his back, as if inspecting her territory, her kingdom. "Yes, my lady Morgan. You will surely become the king of all Britain. From the moment you were born, this land was made glorious by your arrival." Her most loyal knight, Lamorak, offered his praise.
"Hah." Morgan chuckled lightly. There was no mockery or disdain in her laugh, only satisfaction and pleasure with him. "This is just the beginning, Lamorak."
"My original plan was to let the Red Dragon and the White Dragon fight until they were both injured, then swoop in and kill them both. But since my foolish and overconfident little sister has made such a vow, then I will let her win. And then, just as she thinks she is about to reach her peak, I will strike her down from the mountain, giving her the most painful fall and humiliation."
"But all of this depends on whether she can defeat my royal uncle herself. I'd like to see if this King Arthur, after Merlin is forced into his crumbling tower by his oath, can still reach the ending I have designed for her."
As she spoke, Morgan leaned close to his neck, her moist lips brushing against his ear, her breath like an orchid. "The final chapter has unfolded. Watch it with me, Lamorak."
