What did he expect? For all of them to suddenly fall silent, nod obediently, and immediately agree with whatever he said like brain-dead minions?

Ayela's jaw almost dislocated. Her head jerked so hard to the side that her hair whipped across her cheek.
"What the fuck…?" she whispered, absolutely stunned.
There was no way she heard that right, but the synchronized echo still hung in the air. They really did say it. All ten of them.
Lucius didn't react at all. He nodded like this was the most natural outcome imaginable and walked calmly to the command chair at the front of the large tent.
