Chapter 230 - Chapter 230: Blood Debt Paid with Blood! A Perfect Ending?

"Die, you bastards!!!"

Bang!

A blazing bullet dragged a fiery trail, dropping an enemy.

Blood splattered!

Eggplant yanked the bolt, laughing: "So damn accurate! I can't take it—how am I this good? Twitch chat, watch and learn!"

Winter Melon's voice rang out: "Don't get cocky, more are coming! Fight!"

"C'mon! One shot, one kill! Nothing lives in my sights!"

Bang! Bang!

Rat-tat-tat—rat-tat-tat—

A fierce firefight erupted in the Mexican jungle!

They'd crossed mountains, dodged traps, and finally hit Harvey's jungle base!

Harvey knew Leo's escape was coming, so his goons rolled out heavy firepower, hell-bent on making sure Leo's revenge ended in a grave.

And so began the game's hottest gunfight level!

Shooting.

For WindyPeak Games, this was old hat. Their breakout hit was built on shooting.

FPS elements? As easy as breathing for them.

This was the game's most intense gunfight, but—funny enough—the shortest part of the project.

Why? They had stacks of data and assets!

Left 4 Dead 2, PUBG, Titanfall , APEX .

From modern to futuristic, they had every gun model and tweak on lock.

Tuning gun feel? Pure instinct.

The bloody, pulse-pounding chaos had players losing it!

In the garden—

"Cover me, ShuBro!"

Snap! Snap!

Shots rang out, stray bullets zipping, gravel flying!

Yin crouched low, using a flowerbed for cover, creeping forward.

Behind him, ShuBro gripped his rifle, squeezing off rounds, dropping enemies left and right!

"Go! Go! Push up! I've got 'em pinned!"

Twitch chat exploded with laughs:

"Pinned? You mean spraying at cover!"

"Haha…"

"I'll show you how to work an AK.jpg"

"Yin's just running solo. ShuBro's 'suppression' ain't doing squat."

"One mistake and the other team's done for."

"Chill, it's just for show! Without ShuBro's shots, they'd be long gone."

"Hahahahaha…"

In the warehouse—

"Damn, their firepower's insane!"

Ethan "Piggie" Vance belly-crawled through a tight corridor, wooden walls splintering above, bullets grazing his scalp like rain.

Old Horse's voice cut in: "Don't panic. Worst thing on a battlefield is panic. Watch your positioning…"

Chat was hyped:

"Ghost Blade mode: on!"

"Turn around—take 'em out!"

"Enemies are rolling out the welcome mat."

"Old Horse dropping tactics while playing it safe, lol."

"That's the veteran vibe…"

"Hahaha…"

On the tower—

Pineapple steadied his sniper rifle, eyeing enemies below, slowly squeezing the trigger to cover Jada Brook's advance.

Brass shells pinged to the ground.

"Left front, right front—dropped 'em. You're clear, Jada. I've got your back…"

"Got it, which way?" Jada replied.

Chat seethed:

"Stealing my girl? Unforgivable!"

"Pineapple, you're done for!"

"I'm your sworn enemy now!"

"Sharing the love with Pineapple (dog face)"

"This is infuriating…"

In the wine cellar—

Chloe Quinn heaved a gas barrel at a locked door. "Now! Shoot!"

Caleb Knox nailed it with a bullet. Bang! Boom!

The explosion blew the door to bits!

In the smoke, Chloe and Caleb high-fived: "Nice shot."

"Nice call."

By the pool—

Pew dropped a goon, but a grenade arced through the air, rolling to his feet.

"Shit!"

"Grenade!"

Lucas "Luke" Sterling snatched it, hurled it into the pool, and tackled Pew. Boom! Water rained down.

Pew, gasping, looked at Lucas: "What's that phrase? Oh—newbie!"

Killing spree!

They fought from the jungle's edge to Harvey's villa!

Players paired up, pushing forward!

"Harvey—you're dead!!!"

Bang!

Vincent and Leo kicked open the conference room door, guns locked on Harvey!

The once-cocky kingpin sat at the desk's end, clutching his bleeding gut, fear in his eyes.

Click.

In desperation, Harvey set his golden pistol on the table.

Swish—

He slid it across to Vincent.

Vincent checked it, swapped it for his own, and kept it trained on Harvey.

Leo stalked up, gun raised: "Think you can run? Where to, huh?"

"Easy, Leo… I didn't mean to hurt you," Harvey stammered.

"Shut your mouth!!!" Leo jammed the barrel against Harvey's head: "I trusted you, and you betrayed me? Betrayed me?!"

Leo hated traitors!

Especially this kind of backstabbing!

"Hey… chill, Leo, the diamond's still mine," Harvey said, hands up, trying to cool Leo's rage: "It's in the safe. I'll grab it, okay?"

He staggered to the safe.

Click.

It opened, revealing a massive, dazzling "Black Eyes" diamond—and a hidden pistol.

"Here, diamond."

Harvey handed it to Leo.

Leo took it, no suspicion.

But in a flash!

"Screw you!"

Bang!

Harvey smashed Leo's face, knocking his gun away, then grabbed the spare pistol and yanked Leo into a chokehold!

"Drop the gun!"

Harvey strangled Leo, yelling at Vincent: "I said drop it, or he's dead!"

"Screw you, Harvey!" Leo thrashed: "Shoot, Vincent! For your brother! Shoot!!!"

Leo's rage made Vincent hesitate, refusing to fire.

"Let him go! We can talk!" Vincent pleaded.

"Don't listen! Kill him!" Leo roared.

"Drop it!" Harvey screamed.

"Talk, damn it!" Vincent shouted.

"Talk about your mom! Three—!!!" Harvey yelled.

The tension was a taut wire, ready to snap.

Their shouts echoed through the room!

"Two—!!!"

"One!!!"

"Screw you!"

Leo slammed his head back, crack—Harvey's nose broke!

Harvey yelped, reeling.

Leo spun free: "Vincent—"

Time froze.

Vincent's eyes sharpened. Both hands on the grip. Finger on the trigger.

BANG!!!

A muffled shot rang out!

Blood sprayed from Harvey's neck!

Leo threw him over his shoulder—buzz—bang!—slamming him onto the table, shoving him across!

Swish—

Blood streaked the table!

Harvey staggered up, raising his gun.

Two muzzles stared him down!

Bang bang bang bang bang!

Gunfire popped like beans!

Blood bloomed across Harvey's body!

The impact sent him stumbling, crashing over the second-floor railing, splashing into the pool below!

From prison break to road chase to siege!

They'd faced death over and over!

Leo's betrayal, Vincent's vendetta—now, with Harvey's body floating, revenge was done!

"Screw you! Screw you, Harvey! I told you I'd find you and kill you, traitor!!!" Leo leaned over the railing, flipping off the corpse.

Vincent grabbed him.

Revenge was settled, but Mexico wasn't safe!

Linda and Alex waited for Leo.

Carol and their newborn daughter waited for Vincent!

One last fight, one last escape!

WindyPeak didn't disappoint!

Intense gunfights? Check!

Explosions? Check!

Wild car chases? Check!

Teamwork? Check!

In this epic finale, WindyPeak flexed their signature style!

Thrilling action, paired with killer camera work!

And the kicker? The pickup plane pulled a low-altitude stunt!

Vincent and Leo racing a motorcycle, barely boarding the plane—players went nuts!

Live streams were a frenzy!

"Awesome!!!!"

"That last bit was unreal!"

"I gotta play this. Who's teaming up?"

"Count me in! You'll regret missing this!"

"Congrats on the finish! Masterpiece!"

"This is GDC's top dog!"

"TGA-worthy, for sure!"

"It's gotta win something. Depends if WindyPeak submits."

"Give it a shot! It's up there with Titanfall!"

"That hospital camera work? Best Visuals or bust."

"Revenge! Escape! Epic!"

"Home with the diamond, families free to bounce!"

"Perfect ending…"

"Love a happy ending!"

"Wait for the credits!"

"Wuhu—confetti time!!!"

"Hell yeah, haha, whew—!"

Leo laughed as they boarded the plane: "That was too close. You good?"

"Yeah, I'm good, whew—" Vincent exhaled.

The brothers high-fived.

Leo slapped the pilot's shoulder: "Nice work, Emily! You fly like a pro!"

"You lunatics!" Emily snapped, still rattled: "Triple pay for that stunt! More cash!!!"

"Hahaha, no problem!" Leo leaned back, then got serious with Vincent: "I don't say this often, but… thanks, brother."

"Same," Vincent said, shaking Leo's hand. "Brother."

The plane cruised through the night.

"Hey, Vincent, we're landing," Emily called.

"…Yeah."

Vincent paused, glancing at a sleeping Leo, sighing softly: "I'm fine."

Buzz—

The plane touched down.

The game was wrapping up.

Players were hyped, buzzing with the thrill of victory!

Winter Melon rubbed his hands: "Yo, Eggplant! We're home! How much for that diamond?"

"Haha… home," Eggplant mumbled.

Ethan "Piggie" Vance sighed: "Man, what a trip. Me and Old Horse? Unstoppable, right?"

"Yup, top-notch teamwork," Old Horse nodded.

ShuBro bragged: "Me and Yin? Invincible! My Flame Blade and Yin's Spear cut through everything!"

"Yeah… invincible," Yin said softly.

Hiss—

The plane's landing gear dropped.

White smoke puffed as it hit the runway, docking smoothly.

Creak—

The door opened.

Under moonlight, Vincent and Leo hopped out.

But before they could stand—

Click! Click! Click! Click! Click!

Five searchlights snapped on, locking onto them!

Sirens wailed!

A dozen cop cars rolled up, guns drawn!

Rumble—

Lightning flashed, thunder growled.

Step, step, step…

A middle-aged sheriff signaled the cops to lower their weapons and approached.

Vincent stared ahead. Leo eyed him.

The sheriff gave Leo a long look, then turned to Vincent, paused, drew his pistol, and handed it over: "Well done, Vincent."
