One arm burned with golden imperial runes while the other dripped void-black flames. The entity inside him laughed in his skull, trying to drag his soul through the widening rift overhead.
For thirty seconds, Aiden stopped fighting it and pushed everything forward.
Power flooded him. He clenched his fists and the hybrid erupted. Black-violet flames wrapped in glowing runes exploded outward.
The colossal entity above recoiled as Aiden tore a chunk the size of a wagon straight out of its manifested torso. Chunks of glowing holy flesh rained down, smashing into Morten's remaining troops.
"Lucifer!" someone shouted from the walls. Then more voices joined. "Lucifer! Lucifer!"
