Chapter 11 - Chapter XI (11)

He blasted the ground with fire that tore through and leveled buildings with an overwhelming river like blast force. The women dashed out the alleyway with explosions in pursuit. Though they had lost their ability to channel aura, their bodies were still at the peak of human physicality.

"You think running in different directions will save you? Pillars." Pillars came down everywhere.

Ren easily dodged them. "The hell are these for?" A pillar glowed as she passed by. Magic was released like a wave that pounded in her brain. Fuck. I can't moved an im losing strength.

He blasted her with fire. No longer stunned, she blocked with a car she flipped. Sayuri rushed him from the side. She leapt. Pipe held above her.

He smirked. "Predictable." His left hand out. Ice protrude from the ground.

Sayuri smashed her pipe into the icy ground, shattering the jagged ice then used the momentum to front flip and propel herself forward. "Guess again!" She aimed for his head.

He tapped his boot. A gust of air threw her off course. Donna came from the other side. He iced her as he did Sayuri. She clenched a part of the newly formed ice. It shattered. She reached for his head. Sayuri tossed her pipe. He fluttered back. The two tilted their heads. A car door flew between them. He leaped desperately.

Ren walked holding the car up with one had. She tossed the exhaust pipe with the other earning her a bit more distance between him and themselves. "I'm done. I've completely analyze you little wristbands. It's five different devices made to work in conjunction." She dropped the car.

"One gathers magic from the area, a form of magic osmosis, another conducts the magic energy to its container."

"At the beginning of the fight, you did rotated something on your wrists. I'm guessing you have to rotate that glowing gem with the conduit attachment one eighty degrees to allow the magic the flow in the opposite direction and back the other was to recharge."

"Like the rechargeable batteries of a flashlight. All of this" She gestured to their surroundings. "Is your power outlet and the part that you store the spells that you cast is the flashlight."

"Numerous occasions throughout our face off, you've been recharging others while using the rest. For each of those devices they can store enough magical energy for one big spell. I believe you call them tier three? Once it's used, the gem is completely empty and you have to recharge. You can fire off two tier two spells at best and for tier one you can do it five times consecutively."

"Very good analysis and your comparisons were spot on and easy to follow. Even I wouldn't have been able to analyse an opponent with such speed and precision in the midst of a battle. And yet you still allowed me to recharge."

If it wasn't for this island being a Vigorous Magic Region, I would've died more times than I hand fingers. Having so many close calls despite being in a Vigorous Magic Region that homosapiens can survive in is a testament to my defeat. He fiddled with the glowing crystals on the apparatuses on his arms and boots. To make matters worse the Root Resonator dampens Magic as well meaning I can't recharge.

"Ah! Of course. You want to fight me at full strength. I thought you yakuza's didn't believe in a fair fight?" He said grandly.

"Which Seeker do you know plays fair?" Said Sayuri.

"The game was rigged against us the beginning." Said Donna.

"There is only one reason a Seeker would ever play anything close to fair. Under intense stress and pressure, humans evolved fastest."

"I'm glad our goals align." Said Frank. All three women surrounded him. "Gale Maneuver." He backed flipped. Their weapons hit the ground. He took off with a flutter of his clothes as they gave pursuit.

Throughout the area were explosions of rubble from Ren tossing anything she could grab.

Donna and Sayuri went left and right.

Ren ripped out a piece of wall as she ran. She tossed. Frank flipped right around a corner. The piece of wall hits the four-way intersection. The pavement is cracked. Bricks flew. She grabbed one. Frank ducked. She tossed. It flew above his head. It turned to dust on impact with the wall.

"That damned wind spell increases his speed and makes him able to swim through air like a damned fish." Ren said.

"Timber motherfucker!" Sayuri shouted as she fell the building she had destabilized on Frank.

Frank held out his hand and foot behind him. "Blaze Stream. Breeze Surge. Combo Spell: Improved Blaze Stream" He blasted through the path of the collapsing building. Ren was knocked back by the blast. in the aftermath of the smoke and debris he stood unscathed among the flames.

Sayuri was in wait. She swung and missed. He leapt back. He was pulled back. Sayuri gripped his arm with her other hand. "Gotcha bitch." The fuck is up with these clothes? I know I don't have any aura right now, but I should still be able to rip his fucking arm off!

He smirked. "Burn Shroud." His buddy was enveloped in flames. She let go. Her palm chard. He gripped her weapon hand. Her wrist smoked. She kicked. He tossed her off balance and slammed her into the pavement. Donna gripped his head. She clenched. Chunks of ice flew. Dana grabbed Sayuri and leapt back. Her hand frozen solid. " That was a close call. You really do crack heads Donna. Tier one spells are mighty effective against close combatants such as yourselves." He shook off the ice off his wet body.

The ground quakes. "Please don't tell me that she..." They stared at the collapsed building. Ren burst out the top of the rubble.

"Gale maneuver Tier 1." Frank dodged.

Ren landed and smashed her bat into the ground. She tossed it at him. He backed flipped. She caught him by the leg midway and tossed him into the ground. His Ice Coat defense shattered. He kicked off. A gentle breeze getting him away from her.

Sayuri intercepted him. "Stay right here Fucker!" She stabbed. She missed.

He leapt back to his feet. "That trick again?"

She ripped her pipe from the ground. A slab of asphalt still attached. "Eat this, pussy!" She swung. He leapt. The asphalt flew. Ice shattered. He was knocked away.

Ren stared. "You're disgusting, you know that?"

Donna facepalmed. "I am ashamed to have birth such a vulgar and unfaithful woman."

"Wait! It's not like that!" Said Sayuri.

Frank held his stomach as he stood. The women were approaching. Sayuri stompped her pipe into the ground and ripped out another piece of asphalt. Donna flexed her frozen hand. The ice shattered as she continued to flex her hand in line with his head. Ren swaggered with her bat over her shoulder. One Tier 1 ice spell in the left hand, two tier 1 or one tier 2 fire spell in the right hand, two tier 1 or one tier 2 wind in the left foot and the right foot is empty. He can only block one more time with the ice. He's on his last legs...yet I still feel uneasy. Like I'm not taking something into account. Thought Ren.

Frank sighed as he slicked his hair back. A device was around his neck. "So be it." Three magic circles appeared. They fused. He fired.

"Fuck! The earth magic in the beginning came from a necklace." Said Ren.

"What is with this casting speed?!"

Sayuri grabbed Donna's hand. "Fuck that mom! Let's run!"

The ground erupted into a path of molten jagged rocks and lava. Buildings collapsed into the fiery pits as it's reach spread and crumbled all it touched. The women ran.

"Hey Ren, why the fuck is this thing gaining on our asses no matter how fast we run?" Said Sayuri.

Donna was behind her. "It has a large area of effect like one of both of your strongest attacks. This spell has a set range and speed. We're just too slow to outrun it."

"Then let's stop running." Ren hults with a skid. The others followed.

Sayuri smirked. "Bout time."

"Running has never been our way of life." Said Donna.

"Right. It only sits a bad examples for your kids as I've clearly proven. Our way is if something tries to kill you, it'll make you stronger. And you return that favor a hundred times over by murdering them and everyone in their bloodline!!" She gripped her bat. Her viens black. For a split second, her bat was shrouded in black. She tossed. There was a gust of wind like a rocket had been launched. The bat blasted through the lava. It collided with Frank. Ice shattered. It pushing him back and rammed him through the veil. The bat's pressing against his stomach have finally stop when it lost momentum falling away from him.

As he fell from great heights, a twisted grin crossed his bloodied lips. "Mission... success." He let go of his earpiece. "Mass teleportation scroll." The school went up in flames serving as the catalyst for the bombardment of light that hit all his men, rupturing them away. Finally the lights embrace began to be enveloped his being.

"Here Frankie!" Ren above him. She swung. The bat at his head.

The scene changed to a warehouse. He gasped and gripped his chest. He saw it. It was all over. He knew a second more and that bat would have smashed through his skull. The horror of his near-death experience left his hands shaking. He chuckled hysterically.

"Sir, are you alright?" Said a subordinate.

"Haha, upgrade the Yamaguchi Clan threat level to be the most dangerous of the humans beings. Even above ourselves. Haha...haha...hahahaha!" All around him was the same scene. All the others who had returned with him were as hysterical as him.

The madness consuming their minds. Yamaguchi's think of themselves as frogs in a well, birthday those who witness their fierceness first hand, there were a horde of monsters that awakened from slumber.

Back on Okinawa.

The women of the Yamaguchi Clan gathered around the cooling lava. As they stood amongst the rubble, they stared at Ren, Donna and Sayuri that stood in the mist of the destruction.

"How are the girls, Kiko?" Said Ren.

A woman nods her head. A few other women took the sleeping girls away. "They're just unconscious from overexertion and neurotoxins." If you thought it was serious, mother in law would be treating them.

"Good. Put the things in Nagisa's bag in the treasury after they've been thoroughly checked. As for this mess, tally up the total damage to the area. Compensate the owners and residents while insinuating that Shimamura's buildings weren't up to code." She smirked.

"We should just slaughter him and his family."

"Patience Kiko. He's just a bottom feeder swimming near a big shark. Thats what we want to catch."

"I understand but...Was all this worth it boss?"

"You tell me." Her finger had black veins.
