St. Morris Middle School.
Joe was really angry. It was really baffling how some of his mates were debating killing like it was some kind of game.
"Jesus, you guys are cold hearted bastards. Kill your classmates??"
One of Joe's friends smirked. "Bro, don't act like a saint now. Are you not the one who always takes his lunch money?"
"That's exactly why I can't think of killing him!" Joe shouted.
Sasha was tired of arguing. "Oh god!!! Let's just decide already!!! What are we going to do to Collins?"
Juillet looked at the place where Collins was sitting. Probably to give him a pity look. But no Collins.
"Speaking of which, where is Collins?"
[squeeeeeak!!!]
Collins found his way to the window. Not the one leading to death; death by gravity, but the one leading to the undead. The one they were afraid would give in. Previously as they reduced their noise output, some of the blues found their way to where more noise came from. The pressure came down and the guys guarding the doors and windows slacked off. Coupled with the very interesting argument that was going on.
Seeing that opportunity, Collins decided to grab it. He didn't care about the possible consequences. They never cared about me anyway. He said to himself. He sneaked to the window amidst the argument and started opening it slowly, hoping to get it large enough to sneak from. but that was not the case. As he slid the glass open, it made a loud squeaking sound.
[squeeeeeak!!!]
"What was that?" Sasha asked
"Jesus it's co- IT'S COLLINS!!"
"What the hell is he doing at the back window?
Collins froze. It was too early and too late to get busted. He had to get out. Therefore, he banged the window open and tried climbing out really fast. But of course, his mates definitely didn't like that course of action.
One of the boys got up in anger and started running after Collins who was halfway across.
"This little SHIT!!!" he cursed.
"Heyy!, don't run! the widow ain't stable!" one of the girls tried to warn me.
But it was too late. The angry bird leapt into space in that split second when Collins' legs were about to drop to the other side. He succeeded, but he brought the window down with him, and the crashing sound sent an alarm to all the dead that were in the building.
"IDIOT!!!!!!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!!!" Sasha shouted.
The senior guy looked at Juliet. He pointed at Sasha and said,
"You, I'll stick with you AND her. We have to get outta here."
"Yes, 'senpai'. Juliet replied, smiling.
The 'senpai' gave her a puzzled look.
They had to run. While others were struggling to undo the barrier, some were leaving through the window, like Juliet, Sasha, Joe, the 'senpai', and few others who thought that was the smartest move. The blues came so fast that they literally had to jump over some while crossing from the window.
Some of them weren't so lucky. Especially the ones who thought they could the door because the noise they made while removing the barrier turned away the attention of the already agitated blues from the window to the doors. Therefore, as they removed the teacher's desk (which was the biggest weight holding the front door) the weight of the blues pressing against the door brought it crashing down. You know the rest. While some that used the windows were caught by their legs and finished off. The ones who managed to escape could only hear the screams and agony of their friends.
Meanwhile, Juliet, Sasha, Joe, 'senpai', and two others managed to reach the teachers office. how they ended up there was not a co-incidence. There was a paper on the door with the writing that said, "Knock if you are not bitten." therefore they knocked amidst fighting off some blues. Actually, Sasha did the knocking. And thankfully, the people inside responded quickly.
As they entered the office, that's when Juliet realized how many people had been lost to whatever was happening. She recalled they were about 15 who were in that class, now they are just six. While in the office they were also six; 3 third years, 1 second year, 1 first year and 2 teachers of whom Jonah huff was one. Therefore, all together there were twelve.
"God, you kids have been through hell." the other teacher said.
"Um…Miss. Cakes, did you even check to see if they were bitten?" one of the third-year kids there asked.
"And if they were?" Mr. Huff asked.
"Send them to the infirmary!!" they sneered.
the third year with Juliet's group spoke up. "Hey Rogers. We are not bitten."
Rodgers smirked. "What's up teddy? Just a precaution ya' know?"
Sasha and Juliet snickered. "Teddy??"
"'Tis Daniel. Do not call me Teddy." Daniel warned as he grabbed a seat.
As they took seats, Juliet noticed someone looking at her and smiling intently. It was her nemesis- 'Sophia' from the third year. This shithead just had to be here, alongside her 2 goons. Juliet muttered to herself.
"Heeeelllllooooo Julie, so you are not dead, huh?" Sophia mocked.
"I could say the same about you. So, you've been hiding here all along. You and your fellow shitheads."
Rodgers banged the table and stood up and shouted. "Hey! You wanna go bitch? "
Daniel laughed and said "Sit your ass backdown Rodgers. Everyone here knows you can't do shit."
"So, Dan is still the boss among you guys...damn."
Juliet looked at Daniel.
"Yeah...so it seems…"
After that, everyone just became quiet.

After an hour or two, some of the kids started complaining about hunger or something else like homesickness or the smell of the area. All that prompted Mr. Huff to get up. He took what looked like a fruit knife and went out with it. After a while he came back. Looking like he came back from a battlefield.
"Hey kids, the situation outside isn't getting better at all. Phone lines are all down. Even emergency lines aren't going through. We'll have to move from here if we plan on staying alive; cause we sure as hell ain't going anywhere."
Come to think of it, I haven't tried contacting mom since this thing started. Juliet said to herself. She took out her phone that was in her pocket, only to see that there was no service. Sasha saw Juliet trying to use her phone and made a guess.
"Let me guess Juliet, you are just remembering to call your home."
Juliet looked at her and made a guilty face.
"My god! How can you even make that kind of mistake? The first thing I did after seeing zombies was call the cops. Then my dad."
What Sasha said piqued Huff's interest. He decided to inquire further.
"You called the cops. What did they say?"
"Yeah.. I told them that there was a zombie in the school and-"
Sasha stopped because as she said there was a zombie, the third years burst out in laughter. They laughed so hard that everyone else joined. Sasha just sat there confused and waited for them to finish. That was the second time she would talk and everyone else would think she was a comedian.
"Why are you people laughing?" she asked innocently instead of cursing like last time.
Joe spoke up first.
"Sasha, you really are funny. You seriously told the cops that there was a zombie?"
"Yeah? What else was I supposed to say? Plus, I was sure that the police lady had already made some kind of call or something."
"That police lady never made the response. Then you call with the zombie talk. I guess that's why they never showed."
"What response?" Sasha asked
"A police distress call is um…. A call-response-confirmation. She didn't confirm so backup didn't come. I know because I witnessed her from the call till when she died." Huff replied.
Sasha froze. "So, you're trying to say I'm part of the reason we're stuck here?!"
"Of course, smartass. "Joe said smugly.
"Anyway. Never mind that; pack up your things, we are going to the cafeteria."
