- A new day, 9 AM in the morning. The weather, slightly cloudy as proof of last night's down pour. Inori was abducted by a mysterious boy. And so our story continues at the small inn from last night.
"...ughhhhh, my head~" Inori's consciousness came to be as she opened her eyes.
"Oh, finally awake?" He said with a piece of Toasted bread in his mouth, it was that pretty fellow from last night, now in the middle of breakfast.
Inori stared then blinked, slowly remembering last night. Her fear of the stranger still present, evident from the dread filled eyes she displayed as he stared at her.
"Hey don't be scared." He leaned in closer.
Before Inori could shield her head in fear, her brows furrowed as she questioned.
"Huh? Wh—why can't I move?!"
She searched for the reason, her entire body was binded tightly with mountain rope.
"W-what is happening?! Why am I tied up?" Inori struggled for freedom.
The tightness of the thick rope hurt her body.
"Why do you keep hurting me, j-just let me go already...!" She almost broke into tears again.
"Don't be silly, I'm not doing that. I have some questions for you missy."
He said dusting the bread crumbs from his hand.
"As far as I know, you're some creep that entered my house without permission!"
Inori almost barked but stopped, she didn't want to anger this person. From what they showed so far they were clearly not normal.
She remembered her body was perfectly tied up, a single slip up could give her a wore fate.
Besides, she was in the wrong. She shouldn't have invited herself in last night.
Inori sighed and bent her head dejectedly.
'I.... should just apologize, t-this person terrifies me....'
Just before doing so, her words were stopped in their tracks.
"Deeeaaaaattthhhth!!"
A Sinner's scream pierced the air, its high-pitched wail like nails on a chalkboard, making Inori's eardrums scream.
"What the hell?" His eyes snapped front.
The boy calmly went outside through the paper door with a now serious, almost annoyed expression.
Inori, still tied up, saw the opportunity to escape. She shuffled to the edge of the room, stretching her neck like a tortoise in search of a window.
She spotted one but clearly couldn't reach it with her restricted movement.
'I have no choice... I'll have to use the front door!' inori mustered courage and squirmed like a worm towards the paper door. Using her face to slide it open. Barely. She only pried a little space to peek first.
Her right eye observing the boys blind spot and the monster he was confronting.
Inori gasped. "T-that's a Sinner of Addiction!" She instinctively said aloud, forgetting to hide her presence.
He turned back and opened the door completely.
"Really?" He asked, prompting Inori to continue.
She did. "Ehm...t-they can easily be noticed by their wheel shaped face, always intercepted by their long skinny hands. Normally standing at about 6ft if I remember correctly." She awkwardly identified the Sinner. Just like her first encounter with a Sinner of Sloth, Inori was clearly literate in their designs.
To give you a mental image, a Sinner of Addiction, as already explained has a wheel shaped face, supposedly representing the constant state of Addiction. Its head rolls on the floor over and over again as a testament to its Sin committed. Addiction, if given to, is a never ending cycle.
"Death!!!!!!!!!!!"
It shrieked like the beast it was. Its wheel-like head began rotating at a deadly speed. It scraped the earth beneath it, resembling the tyre of a sports car in motion.
Inori panicked seeing the creature ready to attack. The polko dot patterns turning to a blur as the rotation got faster.
"M-ma'am, I-I advise we run. Sinners of their kind rank 36th in global records....!" She stammered, squirming away from its range.
Bash!!
Waiting for no signal, the Sinner launched at the inn, completely smashing the front wall! The sound was a small grenade, shaking trees nearby which sent birds flying away.
Debris fell to the grass with a muted thud, leaving dust to settle slowly from the attack.
Inori was trembling but still alive, she hesitantly opened her eyes to find out.
"H—hooowww?!"
She was in shock. The boy had dodged the attack whilst carrying her like luggage.
"Oh, c'mon! My house...! What's a Sinner even doing this deep in the forest?!"
He yelled with annoyance ignoring Inori's reaction.
"Death!!!"
It yelled back at him, furious it didn't end its prey in one swoop.
"It sure is stupid, why's it repeating the same word?" He asked the girl fully wrapped in his arm.
"Eh, me?" Inori blinked, still reeling from shock.
"W-well, Sinners of Addiction are quite popular for saying only one word from the usual phrase. I-I never read why, but I theorize it's rooted to their dependence on a specific thing." The boys eyes widened with surprise.
Unknowingly complimenting Inori. "Wow, you're smart?" Well more of a question honestly.
The Sinner wasn't having any of it,
proceeding to begin another rotation of its head for a second attack.
The boy dropped Inori on the grass with no regard, she violently landed on the floor wincing in pain.
He removed the weapon from a black bag he seemed to have grabbed.
'When did she carry that as well?!'
Inori thought in astonishment, it must've been when they dodged the monsters attack. This persons speed was supernatural.
The boy removed a single short katana and dropped the second one still in the bag, making a dull clang as it landed inches away from Inori.
As he unsheathed his weapon. He calmly asked. "So like, do they have any weaknesses or....?" His eyes fixed on it waiting for her response.
She stared before answering. "Non that I know of, b-but I'd advise you go for the head. It won't be able to attack after that!"
The Sinner's head had generated enough speed, now aiming to finish the boy with a single strike.
The stranger squatted, staring at the floor as he exuded killing intent.
In a flash, they both vanished.
Charging at each other with super human speed.
The boy was faster. He quickly moved with precision towards the Sinner.
The wave produced swaying the blades of grass.
His short katana bearing fangs dug into it's flesh, cutting it's head clean in half.
Plop.
The Sinner's now divided body dropped to the ground, although still twitching as if still alive.
Out of nowhere, human blood gushed out on Inori's face! Directly splattering in her front since she was watching everything unfold.
She nearly threw up, reeling in disgust as she screamed. Inori frantically rolled on the grass, trying her best to clean the liquid with the floor.
"It got in my mouuutthhh!!" She cried lifting her head up, her face dyed dark red with dirt and grass scattered all over.
Inori searched for the man in the midst of dust and blood produced. Her body still binded with rope but her eyes were astonished.
"A—amazing~" She mentally clapped at such display, seeing the size of the corpse in front.
Her gaze returned to the person responsible, quickly wiping the blood from his weapon in a swift motion.
"Of course, why didn't I think of that.... this person is a Priest!" She finally joined two and two. No normal person could move like that. Inori could barely even see what had happened.
He saw Inori impressed but ignored her. The boy tossed his katana to the left, then walked towards the Sinners twitching corpse directly in front of Inori.
He squatted down and casually began eating it.
