Chapter 146 - Chapter 146: A Battle Between Women

"Luffy... we already know that Nami is planning to leave…"

With a complex expression, Bell-mère appeared beside Luffy and spoke quietly.

"Ah~"

Luffy nodded in response. "Don't worry, Nami's mom. If you don't want her to leave…"

Seeing the troubled look on Bell-mère's face, Luffy reassured her gently, "I'll try to persuade Nami for you."

After all, family ties trump everything else.

Bell-mère stood frozen for a moment at his words.

After a pause, as if thinking of something, she simply shook her head softly and said nothing more. Instead, she turned her full attention to the two girls caught in the storm at the center of the field.

In the clearing, the tension between the two continued to escalate.

One exuded an icy pride from the lofty clouds; the other, a mysterious aura drawn from sky magic.

From their bodies, two distinct energies surged and collided.

In the center of the battlefield, flashes of blue and violet clashed like lightning, crackling through the air, forcing the onlookers to squint against the brightness.

Though Robin's stats were far superior to Nami's, and her battle experience was leagues ahead, her techniques were primarily ranged and physical.

Ironically, when it came to controlling aura, she was outmatched by Nami, the Sky Dragon Slayer who had spent years in deep meditation.

The energy swirling around them reached a stalemate.

Still, aside from special spiritual forces like the Conqueror's Haki, ordinary pressure had little effect on the mental fortitude of true warriors.

And clearly, both Nami, petite and charming, and Robin, graceful and poised, were strong in their own right!

Robin's eyes suddenly sharpened, locking onto Nami's figure.

"Heh…"

To Robin, many battles were decided in an instant.

Suddenly, eight slender arms sprouted from both sides of Nami's body, seizing her chin and arms at lightning speed.

"W-What the, ?!"

Nami cried out, stunned. The power of the Hana Hana no Mi had immobilized her, hands clutching her jaw and limbs, leaving her unable to move.

She was forced to look skyward, arms tightly restrained.

Nami trembled slightly, her eyes filled with unease as the strange limbs pinned her in place. This was her first time encountering such a bizarre ability.

She struggled with all her might, but it was useless.

"Nami!"

Nojiko cried out in alarm.

It felt like the battle might end right then and there.

But Robin had no such intention.

Given the magical pressure Nami had just released, these bindings were practically child's play.

Still startled, Nami quickly snapped back to her senses at Nojiko's voice.

Air currents gathered around her, forming razor-sharp blades of wind that slashed directly at the arms binding her.

Shhhhk!

The limbs instantly burst into pink petals and scattered into the wind.

The phantom pain of the dismembered arms shot into Robin's mind, causing her lip to twitch slightly.

But for Robin, that level of pain was nothing more than a tickle.

Nami swiftly leaped backward, putting distance between them. Wind gathered once again, swirling around her hands.

Yet she had no idea how strange and unpredictable Devil Fruit users could be.

Boom!

A deep purple flame erupted from the gemstone on Robin's Cloud Ring. Her hands crossed over her chest, half of her calm face obscured by the glowing violet fire.

"Tree Bloom: Storm!"

Robin didn't start at full power.

After all, this was just a sparring match between crewmates.

Her goal was to gradually increase the pressure, helping Nami adapt to the rhythm of battle between powerful fighters.

Suddenly, a surge of purple fire burst from the ground behind Nami, shooting skyward.

A ten-meter-tall giant hand emerged out of nowhere, fingers outstretched, slamming down toward Nami.

The sheer size of the hand left Nami with no room to dodge.

This relentless pace of combat was overwhelming for her.

Fortunately, the wind she'd gathered earlier hadn't dispersed yet. Drawing on the power of the sky, she regained control of the invisible forces around her.

"Sky Dragon's Crushing Fang!"

Magic exploded from Nami's hands, conjuring a storm of energy that roared through the air.

The hurricane collided with Robin's giant hand in midair, creating a deafening crack like rending silk.

The chaotic wind disrupted the surrounding air, summoning violent gusts to support Nami in battle.

It felt as though all of Cocoyashi Village would be swept up in a storm, wind and dust surged outward from the heart of their clash.

Boom!

Suddenly, a golden, transparent wall of flame appeared in front of Bell-mère and the others.

All the turbulent winds and flying debris seemed to forget their presence entirely, diverted harmlessly to the sides by the barrier's energy.

Swish…

Robin's giant hand, now unsupported by her power, was torn to shreds by the storm, dissolving into petals.

But even as Robin's petals fell, Nami spun around, unleashing twin blades of wind that tore apart another sudden attack from Robin's flower arms.

Robin smiled, amused. "Looks like you've gotten used to this kind of fight…"

Nami pouted, clearly aware that Robin was holding back. Still, she replied with stubborn pride, "Hmph! It's not that hard!"

Meanwhile, inside the flaming barrier, the three villagers of Cocoyashi were left speechless.

Whether it was Robin's sudden conjuring of giant limbs or Nami's explosive sky magic, it had all far surpassed anything normal people could imagine.

Even Bell-mère, a battle-hardened veteran, was so stunned that she didn't notice her cigarette had fallen to the ground.

Suddenly, the gemstone on Robin's Cloud Ring flared with dazzling light. Streams of violet flame surged across her body like a tidal wave.

Shrouded in that purple fire, Robin's eyes gleamed with sharp intensity, her entire presence like that of a proud and divine being looking down on the mortal world.

"Now... I'll get serious."

Her voice was icy cold.

"What…?" Nami looked up, puzzled by the sudden shift.

But Robin no longer cared about her confusion.

The violet flames burst outward, engulfing half the battlefield.

Then, whoosh!, six delicate, pink feathered wings sprouted from Robin's back, casting her in a sacred, radiant glow.

With a powerful flap, she soared into the sky.

The wingspan stretched over ten meters in total. Suspended above Nami, in the light of the sun, she looked almost otherworldly.

Sunlight pierced through her form, casting her silhouette like a divine shadow.

Hands crossed, Robin raised them skyward, and the sky turned violet, engulfed in flame.

Blazing fire lit up the entire land below, carrying a chilling aura of superiority that pierced the hearts of everyone watching.

"Full Bloom: Six-Winged Angel!"

High above, Robin hovered with majesty, gazing down on Nami like a true angel judging the mortal world.

Whoosh!

Robin waved her arm. One of her six wings morphed into a massive pink flaming fist.

It aimed directly at Nami.

"Y-You've got to be kidding!!"

Nami was shaken. Robin's overwhelming aura had thrown her completely off guard, even disrupting the wind around her.

The flaming fist came crashing down at her.

"Not good!"

Wind swirled around her feet as she leapt high into the air, narrowly avoiding the attack.

BOOM!!

The flaming fist struck the earth, leaving behind a massive crater. Dust and stone flew everywhere.

"Whew…"

Nami exhaled, having just dodged the blow.

But Robin wasn't about to let her catch her breath.

Another wing transformed into a fist.

With violet fire blazing in her eyes, she stared directly at Nami.

"Nami!! Look out!!"

Bell-mère and the others screamed in alarm, but their voices couldn't reach the two locked in combat.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM BOOM BOOM!!

Robin's flaming fists rained down mercilessly, one after another, smashing crater after crater into the battlefield like hell itself had opened.

Caught in the storm of dust, Nami dodged with all fours, her senses pushed to their limits.

"D-Damn it!!!"

Retreating desperately, she finally found a brief opening, and roared in frustration.

All her magic burst forth in that moment. Driven by anger, her power exploded.

Shhhhk!

Robin's next punch met a sudden wall of spiraling wind. Despite its immense strength, the punch was completely halted.

Wind blades screeched against flaming muscle like steel against steel.

"Hm?"

For the first time, Robin's aloof expression faltered. She peered curiously into the eye of the whirlwind.

There, Nami slowly rose into the air. Wind wrapped around her legs, lifting her up. Her hair danced wildly, her eyes glowing with magic as she stared furiously at Robin.

With a wave of her hands, the wind answered her command, swirling around the battlefield.

Her voice echoed across the heavens.

"This sky… is my domain!!!"
