Chapter 16 - I Know You Know

Hey! How's it going? I noticed we're already at chapter 16 and Marie still hasn't debuted as Invincible. I ended up getting carried away with the slice-of-life and character development (when I write another fic, that will probably be the main genre).

I'm going to start moving her debut forward in the next chapters to kick off the main plot more clearly.

I'm also researching some plots and elements from Image Comics to use later on (Youngblood, Cyberforce, WildC.A.T.s, Shadowhawk, Spawn, The Pact, Image United, plus other teams that appear in the Invincible universe like Dynamo 5 and Capes Inc.). I'm still getting familiar with everything, so it'll be introduced gradually.

Thanks for following along this far.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything except my OCs, and this is my first fanfic. English is my second language. I welcome constructive criticism, but please be kind to me!

3rd Person POV

Elephant charged at Paradox, who stood still. When Elephant was about to collide with him, Paradox used [Barrier], which he had copied from one of the 8 Bullets of the Shie Hassaikai to test the power.

THUD

He slammed into the barrier, almost falling backward, but quickly recovered.

"FUCK!!! YOU LITTLE TURTLE!!! FACE ME LIKE A MAN!!!"

BAM BAM BAM

Elephant kept punching nonstop, without getting tired or planning anything beyond that.

'Hum, I don't know if the barrier is too strong or if Elephant is too weak. I think I'll have to test its limit later.'

Even after so many unstoppable attacks from Elephant, it didn't even tremble. It stayed completely static.

Seeing that it wasn't going to lead anywhere, Paradox dispelled the barrier right as Elephant was about to land another punch. Because it was sudden, he ended up losing his balance, and Paradox simply moved a little to the side and raised his fist, letting the inertia itself do the work.

"Urgh!"

Elephant got hit right on the chin… or the trunk, and ended up falling to the ground.

"Argh! YOU BASTARD! YOU THINK YOU CAN KEEP PLAYING WITH ME!? YOU'LL SEE! I'M GOING TO BEAT YOU SO MUCH YOU'LL BEG TO BECOME A VEGETARIAN!!!"

"Come at me easy. If you acted as much as you talk, the world would already be vegetarian by now."

Max made a small provocation while preparing for Elephant's next charge, which didn't take long to happen.

"TAKE THIS!!!"

He ran at Paradox once more. When he got close, Paradox stretched the shadow that mimicked a black cape and held him like a bullfighter, which only enraged Elephant even more, making him go all out.

When he was about to collide with Paradox, the shadow seemed to come alive and threw itself onto Elephant's face.

"Olé!"

"WHAT!? GET THIS OFF! GET THIS OFF!"

Elephant stopped his charge and tried to pull that black substance off his face, without success. It returned to place as soon as he pulled it away.

"Hey, Elephant Guy, last time I beat you up didn't you go to jail? Why are you free on the streets?"

"GET THIS BLACK THING OFF MY FACE! AND I'VE NEVER SEEN YOU IN MY LIFE! HOW COULD A WEAKLING LIKE YOU HAVE DEFEATED ME!?"

Elephant was genuinely confused. This guy shows up, spouts some nonsense and starts fighting him. He would definitely recognize that kind of guy, even having already been beaten by so many people.

"Ah! I was undercover, without a hero name or uniform yet. By the way, the name is Paradox for you now."

The shadow on Elephant's face started to leave, allowing him to look at Paradox, furious, but still letting him finish speaking.

"I was the fast guy in an all-black uniform, with a blue trail behind me. Does that ring a bell?"

Paradox then activated [Turbo] with the blue coloration and started running in circles.

"IT WAS YOU!?!?! YOU STOPPED ME FROM SHUTTING DOWN THAT BURGER JOINT! YOU'RE ON THEIR SIDE!"

The trail behind Paradox started turning red, returning to a color that matched the new hero suit, then he stopped.

"So? You didn't answer. How did you escape from jail?"

"I DIDN'T ESCAPE! I GOT OUT FOR GOOD BEHAVIOR! MY CRIMES WEREN'T SERIOUS ENOUGH TO STAY LOCKED UP FOR LONG! SEVERAL VEGAN GROUPS ALSO SPOKE IN MY FAVOR!"

'Is that right? Even if Elephant wasn't someone who went around killing, he still had superpowers and committed crimes. I don't believe Cecil and the GDA would be intimidated by a few vegan groups… unless Cecil lets Elephant out on purpose to train new heroes! It's very possible that he's the official punching bag for the newbie heroes that Cecil releases to train them!'

Paradox's thought made a lot of sense. He even looked at Elephant with a bit of pity. Being the official punching bag for the low levels was a horrible fate in Paradox's opinion.

"These criminal organizations helping villains get out of jail… in my regime, I'd put them to weed various lots."

"HOW DARE YOU!! MAKING THEM DESTROY THE BEAUTIFUL GRASS!!! YOU CALL ME A VILLAIN, BUT YOU'RE THE WORST ENVIRONMENTAL AGGRESSOR I'VE EVER MET!!"

"… You know lots need to be weeded to remove the excess and the weeds, right? By your logic, we shouldn't do anything and just let those harmful weeds spread and destroy the local ecosystem."

"YOU… URGH… SHUT UP!!!"

Elephant, who already didn't think much, was blinded by rage. All he wanted was to hit Paradox for seeming so sensible, while seeing himself as the crazy one in the situation.

"What's wrong? Did I shake your fragile little world?"

Then, once more, Elephant ran at Paradox, furious, fist ready to hit him.

'This guy seems stronger than Damien, but without any tactics behind it. He's good for me to test my strength against someone like this.'

When the fist was about to hit Paradox, he decided not to dodge. He simply stood sideways and raised his palm to stop Elephant's punch.

CRACK

Paradox's body didn't move a single centimeter. He stayed right there, with Elephant's fist trapped in his palm.

'Fuck! My whole body shook on the inside. He's stronger than I thought, but I can deal with this guy using brute force.'

Paradox had used a bit of [Energy Catalyst] to mitigate part of the impact, but not enough to completely negate it. He wanted to take advantage of that punching bag to evolve his fighting style… and also to advance the Hercules Method. Every blow received became fuel for his own body to learn faster.

The two exchanged a few blows in sequence, punches and quick dodges. Paradox tested different angles of defense while Elephant just attacked with everything, with no strategy behind it beyond brute force.

'I can feel the Hercules Method evolving, but this speed is way too slow. I'm going to have to stop using methods that mitigate damage and use only brute force to really advance it.'

Following that thought, Paradox stopped using his powers and techniques and started relying only on the brute force of his own body. He even thought about removing Beriache's Underclothing, which mitigated 10% of all damage received, but discarded the idea.

'"Hey buddy, can we pause the fight so I can take off my underwear?" would be ridiculous to say. Unfortunately, if I want more effect, I have to let him beat me up a little.'

So Paradox started playing defensively, taking several blows from Elephant, even positioning himself right in the middle of the strike to take the maximum damage possible.

"HAHAHAHA! TAKE THIS!!! AND THIS!!! AND THIS ONE TOO!!!"

Elephant was getting excited, while Paradox's blood seemed to boil. The blows became more and more brutal, and Paradox was bleeding inside the suit.

'Yes! It's advancing! And the understanding of the Hercules Method too!'

Of course he wouldn't be able to train everything in that fight, but it was already a good way to understand the method more. The more he understood, the more he could cut corners in the learning.

Paradox took more and more blows until his body went numb. After a while, the Hercules Method stopped advancing.

'I think this is the maximum I can advance this way, since I'm not in real danger. This is only being treated as exercise.'

Paradox decided the physical training stopped there. He would finish Elephant, but not before testing a fighting method he had cooked up some time ago.

When Elephant was about to hit him again, he simply teleported to the top of the building next to the alley.

"WHAT!? YOU COWARD! YOU ACTUALLY RAN AWAY! YOU'RE LOWER ON THE FOOD CHAIN!"

"Dude, do you only think about food? There's more to life than that, you know?"

Elephant immediately looked up at the top of the building where Paradox was.

"YOU'RE UP THERE! COME DOWN HERE IF YOU HAVE THE GUTS!!!"

"Ah, my friend, guts is something I'm not lacking, but I'm thinking of a new strategy to use against villains, and you have the honor of being my first."

As soon as he said that, Paradox started using the Telepathic Neural Implant together with Lucius's telepathy to send a spam of thoughts straight into Elephant's mind.

'Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down…'

'Brr skibidi dop dop dop yes yes, Skibidi double dip dip…'

'To be or not to be, that is the question…'

'Well, here we are again. It's always such a pleasure. Remember when you tried to kill me twice?…'

"AHHHHHH!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY HEAAAAAD!?!?!? STOP IIIIIIIT!!!"

Elephant seemed to enter berserk mode. He who already didn't think much now only had hatred in his mind.

'It worked better than I expected, but this is on an already crazy guy. I don't know how effective it would be on someone calmer and more centered.'

Seeing Elephant start destroying everything around the alley, Paradox jumped from above with a dropkick to his head.

"ARGH!!! YOU MIDGET! GET READY TO BE CRUSHED!!!"

While various thoughts overflowed his mind, Elephant managed to make the rational decision to end the source of the torment.

When he went to punch, he suddenly missed and took a powerful punch to the nose. He threw another punch, and the same thing repeated. The situation kept repeating, and his face got more and more swollen.

'WHAT IS THIS? DID THIS BASTARD GET STRONGER AND MORE AGILE?'

What had happened was that Paradox simply stopped holding back and started beating the hell out of Elephant.

'Nice! Being violent also increases knowledge of the Hercules Method! Gahahaha! Too bad you ran into me today!'

Paradox started getting more bloodthirsty, inflicting pain more than actual damage. Elephant no longer said anything, he just punched forward without aiming, without hitting anything, and got brutalized back.

This continued until Paradox started feeling a strong headache.

'Damn! Keeping multiple thoughts to spam the opponent's mind is tiring. Depending on the opponent it might not be worth it… unless…'

Paradox changed strategy. Instead of maintaining several thoughts at the same time, he simply asked Nano to send various internet videos straight into Elephant's mind, memes, speeches, songs, blown-out audio and the like.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!"

Elephant, already catatonic and groggy, just punching on instinct, let out a scream and started punching the air furiously.

'… Did I go too far?… I think I mindbroke him…'

Paradox stopped spamming thoughts. Elephant stood still, bleeding from the eyes, nose, ears and trunk. The light seemed to return to his eyes, and he looked at Paradox with a neutral gaze that in a few seconds turned back into fury, but this time he just stood there, staring with anger.

'This guy still wants to fight?'

Paradox approached, walking up to him.

"Well, I have to admit I went a bit overboard, but I'm not going to apologize. In compensation, I'm going to help you treat that headache of yours. The best thing for a headache is a good sleep."

Right in front of Elephant, Paradox jumped with his fist raised and shouted:

"Shoryuken!!!"

He hit him right on the chin, just below the trunk, using all his strength, plus 100% of the critical hit from his semi-useful power.

- Every time you crack an egg you gain 1% to your critical hit rate (resets everyday)

Every morning he cracked 100 eggs to keep this power at maximum, and this was the first time he had really used it for real. Unfortunately, 100% was the ceiling he could reach.

'I hope I can increase this value in the future. Maybe upgrades for the semi-useful powers will appear.'

THUD

Elephant fell to the ground, unconscious. Paradox gave him one last look, then used [Wave Motion] to fly away while contacting the police to come pick up the villain.

'Hum, I think I'll take it easy for the rest of the night. The healing energy that Nano had analyzed and reproduced is already taking effect, but it won't heal me right now.'

So Paradox continued interrupting crimes that night, using telekinesis in most cases so he wouldn't have to move much.

Of course he also introduced himself to the people he saved.

"Thank you so much! Uh… sorry, I don't know who you are."

"You can call me Paradox, and you're welcome. I'm just doing what I think is right."

After introducing himself, he didn't stay long and went back to patrolling the night.

Every now and then he also delivered hamburgers to the homeless, just so he wouldn't lose the habit.

'I think I finally understand the weight of having real power. I'm saving people who would never appear in a story, people who "didn't matter" to the original plot, and that's what really makes sense. Good thing I didn't become someone who treats everyone like secondary characters in a fiction.'

Something that had deepened that change was his new assimilation, Ferris Bueller, which made him more social and capable of making more friends. Before that, he didn't have many friends beyond the characters he had met in BNHA and his summons, which was kind of sad, plus Marie and Wendy.

'I think this must be more or less what Nolan felt when he arrived on Earth. Of course, as the super-powered tsundere Viltrumite that he is, he still treated humans like insects, but I, being human, have a closer approach to the people of this world.'

When it started to dawn, Paradox returned to his house.

'Finally. I'm tired, not from staying awake. I'm tired because I received several fractures and some broken bones. It's already healed now, but the residual pain is still there.'

The pain continued because he was using the residual pain to keep training the Hercules Method...

After taking a shower and changing into normal clothes, Max sat on the edge of his bed for a moment, staring at nothing. The night had been long. His body was fine, but his mind still felt the weight of every punch he had taken on purpose.

He checked the time. School would start soon.

With a quiet sigh, he grabbed his bag and left.

...….

Marie POV

'Now is the best moment for me to talk to Max alone. I just need to find him.'

Wendy was still taking a test. She had chosen to play instead of studying, while I had already understood the subject. So after finishing the test, the teacher let me leave early.

Since the last time I met Max and his group together with Wendy, I had been thinking about talking to him, since it seemed like he already knew about me having powers.

I looked for Max for a while until I found him by the window, looking at the scenery, seeming distracted, full of thoughts in his head.

'I don't know how he got so much more handsome all of a sudden! Did I really fall for him!?'

One day, out of nowhere, Max seemed more handsome, but the changes were so subtle that even looking at a before-and-after photo I wouldn't be able to easily tell the difference.

'What am I thinking? I have something more important to deal with.'

So I got closer to Max to talk to him.

"Max!"

"Hum, oh, Marie, what is it? You interrupted my important thoughts."

Max looked at me, still sitting on the window.

"Important thoughts? Like what?"

I had no idea what kind of thing it would be. I had already noticed that Max was smart. From time to time he talked about his technological problems with me and Wendy, and we just listened and agreed, without either of us really understanding what he was talking about.

"Like what I would do if a large-scale alien or dimensional invasion happened tomorrow, or a zombie apocalypse, things like that."

"…"

'Isn't that one of those thoughts everyone has had at some point? I thought it would be something deeper.'

Of course I didn't know he was seriously thinking about that, and thought it was just a shallow thought about things that could happen. Even knowing that alien, dimensional or zombie invasions were possible, on a large scale it seemed unlikely.

"…Wendy would probably get bitten on the first day of the zombie apocalypse."

I said, pretending to be weighed down.

"Nah, I wouldn't let you two become zombies. How would we repopulate the Earth if that happened? Besides, even if it did happen, you would still be my waifus, just zombie ones now."

I blushed a little. This guy had no shame at all making these "jokes" that were actually flirting.

Then I recomposed myself a bit and went straight to what I wanted to talk about.

"… Look, Max… I need to talk to you about something important… alone…"

When Max heard that, he got more serious. I think he was going to make some joke, but held himself back.

"Alright, then let's go somewhere more private."

I followed Max down the hallway, and something strange happened.

"Hey, Max, are you coming with us to play at Conor's place?"

"Sorry, Austin, I'm going to be busy… again."

Austin, Max's friend, looked at me and seemed to think of something.

"Ah! Okay, okay, I completely understand. See you around then."

He left.

'Didn't he say he didn't have friends at school? When did he make these?'

I really had no idea. In my head he only talked to me and Wendy, without time to talk to the others, but the strangeness didn't stop there.

"Max, my boy! I heard you were… oh, Marie, right? Max told me about you. Sorry for interrupting your time. We'll talk later, Max."

The other student left.

I just looked at Max and asked:

"…Who was that?…"

"Osman. We did a test in pairs. He's a cool guy, but pretty rushed. He didn't even let me speak, hahaha!"

"…"

I decided not to say anything and just continue, when it happened again.

"Yo, Max! Did you do the history homework? I went out with the guys and forgot to do it."

Max then took a notebook out of his backpack and handed it to the student.

"Here, Diego. Copy it, but don't make it word for word, okay? Give it back to me tomorrow."

"Deal then, thanks, man."

The student, Diego, took the notebook and turned to look at me.

"Don't worry, he doesn't go out at night with us. It's only singles there."

"… (•⁄⁄_⁄⁄•)…"

He left. Scenes similar to those kept happening more times, with various people, from nerds and geeks to jocks and popular girls, all treating Max like a great friend.

'…'

I just kept observing, while his friends apologized for interrupting "our moment" and the girls threw envious looks at me.

After a few moments, we finally arrived at a secluded place to talk.

"So, Marie, what did you want to talk to me about?"

"… First I want to ask something that came to mind while I was coming here with you."

"Mh-hm, you can ask anything. I should say I don't like lying, but omitting and twisting facts is fine."

"…"

'Should you be telling me that?'

I recomposed myself to ask the first question.

"How do you have so many friends now? You had said that the only friends you had were me and Wendy. What changed? I know you didn't lie, but it didn't seem like you wanted to have so many friends when we met."

Max, Wendy and I walked around a lot together, and this was the first time this was happening.

"Actually, that changed a few days ago. Suddenly I had the impulse to stop being a social hermit and… I don't know, it worked ridiculously well. I discovered I'm absurdly good at making people like me."

"… The students I can even understand, but even the teachers and staff?…"

He shrugged, as if it were no big deal.

"The students were easy. But talking to the teachers and staff is even easier. These older people have a lot of life tips, things you only learn with real experience. It's almost like receiving millennial wisdom for free. I just listen, ask an intelligent question at the end, and boom… they treat me like I'm the favorite grandson."

"…"

I had already lost count of how many times I was left speechless after meeting Max today.

'I think it's better to get straight to the point. I feel like I'm not going to understand how he made so many friends that really, really like him.'

"It's like this, I know."

"You know… what?"

"I know you know."

"How much do you know?"

"You didn't know I knew, but now you know, I know."

"… So I guess we both know."

It was a confusing exchange as hell. I was way too nervous and ended up talking like an idiot. I didn't know how to properly start that.

"…"

"…"

"Just to confirm, you're talking about me knowing about your powers, right?"

"!!!"

My face heated up immediately. I had just done that whole unnecessary central detour only for him to resolve everything with a direct question.

"… How did you find that out?…"

"Well, I noticed that your body changed. Your muscles got more defined, your skin more resistant, you know, that kind of change that only happens when someone awakens powers."

"… (•⁄⁄_⁄⁄•)…"

I lowered my head a little and covered my body in embarrassment.

'He noticed the changes in my body!?'

I was in a mix of feelings that I didn't even know what to say. Seeing that, Max continued.

"Calm down! I'm not checking you out or anything like that! How can I put this? I have a power that allows me to feel people's presence, and your presence has changed since the first day I met you."

"Really?"

"100% Cereal."

"… So… what does this power say about my presence now?"

"That you became a strong independent woman."

"… Your power said exactly this?"

"No, I summarized it a lot, but if you want the less summarized version, it talked about you being able to fly while breaking the sound barrier, kill me easily, hold your breath for a long time, having your Viltrumite genes, an alien race, awakened at a late age, and that you're very beautiful. That last one I had already noticed on my own."

'This power even knows about the Viltrumites?'

I chose to ignore the last part, even though I liked it, and go straight to what mattered. I was already building antibodies to Max's flirting. I couldn't take blushing every single moment anymore.

"About the part of being half alien, you seem completely human to me, at least to the naked eye."

His observation was valid. With possibly trillions of different species and a myriad of habitable planets across the universe, it was still extremely rare to have two species so similar.

My dad had said that even Viltrumite organs worked the same as human ones. The real difference was in their cellular density.

"… Yes, I am, hum, half human, half Viltrumite. They're from a race of super-powered pacifists, and when they reach a certain age, they're assigned to protect a planet."

"So one of your parents is like a super space cop?"

"Yeah… I think that would be about it. In this case it's my dad… he's been protecting Earth for a long time, and is even a hero. I want to help him as soon as possible too, and be like him."

Then Max seemed to have noticed something.

"So… when you reach that age, are you going to leave too?"

My breathing locked for a second. I had never thought about it that way, about whether one day I would have to leave everything behind, my life here, my friends, him.

"No!… I don't think so… but, if I were… would you miss me?"

"Of course! I would try to convince you to stay in every possible way. I'd start with emotional arguments, then move on to heavy emotional blackmail… and if nothing worked, then I'd have to resort to my irresistible charm."

"…"

My face heated up again, but this time I just looked away and huffed, trying to hide it.

"You're impossible…"

"It's just my special way of being, hahaha!"

After laughing, he looked at me and said:

"But seriously, don't leave. By the way, want to talk more about your powers? You said you want to become a heroine, right? Do you already have a uniform or costume?"

He touched on an important point. I still hadn't decided on the name. The costume I already had an idea for, but to complete it I would need the name, and I wanted it to be iconic.

"The uniform I have more or less, but the name I still don't know…"

Max thought for a bit.

"It might be good to pay more attention to what your dad says. He's a hero, right? Maybe he'll say something that gives you an idea."

"… That makes sense. Thanks, Max. By the way, are you a hero? I don't remember you talking about that."

Max raised an eyebrow and opened a smile.

"Of course I am. My name is Paradox. I even appeared on the news, 15 seconds of glory for me. It was the 5 a.m. news, but for me that's already enough."

"Paradox? Never heard of it."

Max huffed and crossed his arms.

"But you will. I just debuted, and it was at night. Wait until I stop a big disaster."

"Uh-huh, mister mysterious hero. Why don't you show me the suit then?"

"Alright then."

As soon as he said that, he instantly changed clothes and was already in his superhero suit, silver and blood-red, a metallic helmet with no opening for the face, and that shadow that moved behind him like a living cape.

'Is this one of his powers!?'

"Like it? It's every woman's dream to be able to change clothes that fast, right? What did you think of my suit?"

I had to admit I liked it, even with that completely closed and threatening look seeming more like a movie villain than a classic hero.

"… My suit is pretty badass. I use plushies to soften my strong and threatening image."

Max took a plushie out of his bag and gave it to me.

"Here, you can keep one. You can hug it thinking of me when you go to sleep."

I looked at the little doll, with that round helmet and the short legs in vivid red, almost hard to believe it represented the same dark, sharp-angled suit he was wearing now.

"I'll admit, it's pretty cute. What's the next step? Politely asking villains to surrender? I don't know… does a hero with that villain face distributing plushies of himself inspire trust? Or just make it clearer that he has a giant ego?"

"Hum, I can change clothes fast too, and that's with pure speed."

"Hum, showing off for being gifted with power just for being born, while mere humans like me have to struggle to break physical limits. I expected more from you."

Max crossed his arms, pouted and turned his face to the side, like a child throwing a tantrum for losing a silly argument.

Seeing that, I couldn't help but laugh watching Max act like a tsundere.

"Hahahaha! Okay! Okay! I admit it. Your superhero suit is really cool."

"Hehehe, I know, thanks. I'm sure yours will be really awesome too. I can't wait to see you in spandex— in a superhero suit!"

"Yeah, yeah. Later we should have a spar. You said you were good at fighting, right?"

"I didn't say that! I am good at fighting! I beat up Elephant the other day. I went a bit hard, but it was because I got a little carried away."

"I also fought a villain, a guy who could turn into concrete. It was pretty quick and I held back. I didn't want to hurt him too much."

When I said that, Max put his hand on my shoulder.

"Look, Marie, it's good to have that mindset, but there are moments when you're going to need to use your powers to the maximum, okay? Don't always hold back. The sooner you stop the threat, the fewer innocents can get hurt… and you too. I don't want you to get hurt because you didn't want to hurt a villain. Promise me you won't hold back in those situations?"

I was surprised by the sudden serious tone. He rarely got like that, and that showed me he was speaking seriously now, with no joking tone.

'It was the first time I saw this side of him, no joke, no silly flirting, just genuine concern. My chest beat in a way that none of those idiot flirts of his had managed before.'

"O-okay, I promise."

"Great! Now I'm going to take this off before someone—"

"Marie, I finally found you— WHO IS THIS!?!?!? IS IT A VILLAIN!?!?!? GET AWAY FROM HER!!! I'M CALLING THE POLICE!!!"

Hey everyone, I just used some Patreon names to name a few nameless students. You can leave a comment on this note on Webnovel (I think only there has paragraph comments) with your name or some name to represent you.

I'm asking this because I wanted to include some people who follow along, but a student's name can't be DeadBoy, CrazyBunny or WalkingTall (maybe I can use those names if I do a part with internet comments like in Worm, which I plan to do at some point), but you can use "Connor Webster", for example.

People from other sites, if you want, you can put it in the comment. Of course if you don't want to you don't need to, and I'm not a Fed wanting your data, you can trust me.

Folks. I just started a Patreon. This is both to keep me motivated to write and to help me make some side income while I'm studying. If you want to read ahead and support my work, you can find me on Patreon searching for WorldHunger.

Lastly, please send me your ideas for Characters, Items, Perks, Gacha Mechanics, Powers/Abilities/Skills (Especially this, I need it), Consumables, and Worlds (for Travel Tickets). Even semi-useful powers are welcome!

Thanks for reading this far. Now, give me your Power Stones! They were promised to me 3,000 years ago! (And remember, everyone gets a free stone daily, for those who don't know).
