Chapter 61 - 111

Chapter 111: Became as big as a house

He now realized that it wasn't that Daenerys hadn't used enough force, but rather that Drogon's skin was too tough.

He tried two more spots, but still couldn't get in. His eyes involuntarily drifted to Zhuo Geng's little head.

He had just looked at Drogon's head when he sensed something was wrong. He turned his head and saw Daenerys staring at him with her big purple eyes, which startled him so much that he quickly put the needles on the bed.

Daenerys knew exactly what Don was planning, and she certainly wouldn't let Don harm Drogon's head, even if it meant he couldn't wake Drogon up for the time being.

With everyone at a loss, Daenerys had no choice but to give up for the time being and let Don go back first, saying she would call him again if needed.

After seeing Don off, Daenerys observed Drogon for a while longer and found that he was still not much different from when he was asleep, and his expression did not show any signs of discomfort, which put her at ease.

As for why she couldn't wake him up, Daenerys racked her brains but couldn't figure out the reason.

At this moment, Daenerys suddenly realized that Shireen seemed to know a lot about dragons, and she might know why Drogon was in a deep sleep.

Shireen lived in the pyramid, and Daenerys immediately sent people to find her.

Shireen was also worried about Drogon's condition and told Daenerys Dragon several possibilities for his slumber.

Dragons often fall into a deep sleep when they are too weak after laying eggs or when they are recovering from serious injuries. She had never seen a dragon like Drogon in this condition.

Moreover, Zhuo Geng didn't even wake up after being pricked with needles, and had never heard of it before.

After carefully observing Drogon's current state, Shireen comforted Daenerys instead. Although she didn't know why Drogon was in a deep sleep, she believed it was due to reasons unknown to them.

Drogon not only has an exceptionally large appetite, but also grows exceptionally fast and can change size, unlike any other dragon they know.

Zhuo Geng was not injured before he fell into a deep sleep, and his leg injury had already healed. The reason he fell into a deep sleep should be another difference between Zhuo Geng and others.

After hearing Shirin's words of comfort, Daenerys was still a little worried, but her mood was much better than before, and that was the only way she could comfort herself for now.

The three of them stayed with Zhuo Geng until late at night before finally falling asleep.

When Daenerys woke up in the morning and saw that Drogon was still asleep, she could only listlessly get up to wash and prepare for a busy day.

Two days later, Daenerys was handling state affairs in her room when her maid, Kitty, suddenly burst in, panting, saying, "Kha...Khalee, go quickly and see, Drogon...Drogon seems to have grown bigger!"

"Get bigger?" Daenerys was initially surprised to hear that Drogon had gotten bigger, thinking he had woken up. Then she realized that the "get bigger" that Jiki was referring to was not Drogon's transformed adult form.

She hurriedly followed Jiqi back to her room. Shirin and Missandei, who shared a room with her, also followed her after hearing about Drogon's news, wanting to go and see.

Pushing open the door, Daenerys noticed that Drogon had indeed grown considerably larger than before. He used to be only the size of a pigeon, but now he was almost the size of a normal rabbit.

Daenerys remembered that when she woke up in the morning, Drogon was the same as before, but she didn't expect that he would change so much in just one morning.

She leaned down and looked closely at Zhuo Geng. He was still sleeping soundly, and apart from his increased size, he was no different from before.

Seeing Drogon's state, Daenerys lost interest in handling state affairs and sat by the bed watching him, wondering if he would show any new changes.

After sitting for more than an hour, she suddenly noticed that Zhuo Geng had grown a few more feet taller than before, and everyone looked at each other in surprise.

Looking at the bed and the house, if Drogon continues to grow, this place doesn't seem to be much bigger than his adult form. The first thing to collapse under the weight is probably Daenerys's bed.

With this possibility in mind, Daenerys waited until dark. Drogon had grown even larger, now bigger than an average house dog.

"Your Majesty, shouldn't we move Drogon to a bigger house?" Missandei wondered if Daenerys would wake up the next morning to find Drogon too big to leave the house.

Daenerys also thought of Missandei's concerns and planned to set aside a space in the Pyramid Hall for Drogon to sleep.

More than an hour later, Drogon was carried into the hall by two Unsullied. Daenerys originally wanted to carry Drogon herself and Missandei, but she did not expect that although Drogon was not big, he was very heavy and could not be carried at all.

After moving Drogon to the hall, Daenerys also set up a small bed next to him and had Grey Worm strengthen the defenses around the pyramid, strictly prohibiting unauthorized personnel from entering.

Two more days passed, and Drogon had grown to nearly adult size. The people living in the pyramid and those who conducted government affairs there all knew that Drogon was in the hall.

Zhuo Geng's snoring gradually increased from the second day after he moved in. Now, his every breath shakes the entire hall, making it hard for them not to know that Zhuo Geng is here.

Daenerys was surprised that the juvenile Drogon slept as quietly as a kitten next to her, while the adult Drogon snored so loudly.

A few days later, Daenerys was no longer so worried about Drogon. She knew that Drogon must have undergone changes she was unaware of, and apart from continuing to sleep and slowly growing bigger, there were no other abnormalities.

On the morning of the third day, the deafening snoring in the pyramid's main hall suddenly stopped, and Drogon's enormous tail twitched slightly. "Bang!"

[What happened?] Zhuo Geng, who had just opened his eyes, was startled by the sound of a collision.

Before he could even check his surroundings, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his chest, so intense that his whole body trembled.

Immediately afterwards, he felt a tearing pain not only in his chest, but also in other parts of his body.

He endured the pain and turned to look at himself. He clearly remembered that he should be sleeping in his nest, so how did he wake up in the hall of the pyramid? And his body had also changed to adult size.

"Zhuo Geng, you're finally awake! Oh my god..."

"hold head high!"

Following Daenerys's orders, Jiki, who had been watching over Drogon, saw him wake up and was about to tell Daenerys when she was interrupted by a painful roar from Drogon.

"Zhuogeng! You...you..."

Ji Qi was horrified to discover that Zhuo Geng's scales were bulging outwards, as if countless reptiles were trying to crawl out of Zhuo Geng's body.

The dark, dense scales on its chest had been torn open, and blood seeped out through the gaps in the scales, flowing down to the ground in thin streams.

"Drogon…" Jiqi had already forgotten about finding Daenerys; she was so frightened by the changes in Drogon that she covered her mouth.

"hold head high!"

Drogon couldn't help but let out another painful roar, his tail sweeping fiercely across the pyramid wall, leaving a deep mark on the hard stone wall as if it had been plowed.

At that moment, he had no energy left to care about why he woke up in the pyramid hall.

He felt as if all the bones in his body were splitting, trying to pierce through the scales and grow out. His whole body felt swollen, as if it were being pulled from the inside out, tearing through his skin. Scales mixed with bits of flesh fell off intermittently.
