A flash of light flickered before Kamisato Ayaka's eyes.
The next moment, she found herself inside a spacious shop.
"The interior is actually this large!"
As she looked around, surprise appeared on Ayaka's face.
From the outside, it had looked like a small shop of only a few dozen square meters.
Yet inside, it was astonishingly spacious.
The decor also caught her attention.
As the young lady of the Kamisato Clan, Ayaka had received an excellent education.
She had studied the architectural and decorative styles of many nations.
Yet she had never seen anything quite like this.
For a moment, she stood there curiously taking everything in.
Not long afterward, a voice from nearby snapped her out of her thoughts.
"Hello, Miss. Are you here to read manga?"
Ayaka turned toward the source of the voice.
A cute girl dressed in a maid outfit was smiling at her.
"No, I'm actually here looking for someone."
Ayaka gently shook her head.
"Looking for someone?"
Noelle blinked.
Good grief.
Another unusual reason for coming to the manga shop.
Still, this didn't seem like something that required troubling the Boss.
She could probably help.
"Could you describe the person you're looking for? Maybe I can assist."
"A black-haired young man. Handsome. He has a mysterious and unique aura about him."
Ayaka thought for a moment before describing the youth from her memory.
"Isn't that just Boss?"
Noelle's expression immediately turned strange.
In her eyes, that description fit Han Feng perfectly.
Handsome.
Mysterious.
Unique.
Could it be that the person this young lady was looking for was actually the Boss?
"Is there someone like that in the shop?"
Ayaka asked with concern.
Because Han Feng was reclining behind the counter, she hadn't noticed him earlier.
"I do know someone who fits that description. Whether he's the one you're looking for, though, you'll have to judge for yourself. Please follow me."
Noelle smiled.
"Thank you very much for your trouble."
Ayaka thanked her gracefully.
"She's really a proper noble lady…"
Noelle was secretly surprised.
She had welcomed all kinds of customers at the manga shop.
Commoners.
Nobles.
People from every walk of life.
But someone who carried herself with such elegance and refinement in every gesture—this was a first.
Being around Ayaka felt like a gentle spring breeze.
The only thing Noelle couldn't figure out was—what exactly had Boss done to make this young lady come looking for him?
"Could she be one of Boss's romantic entanglements?"
Noelle's imagination immediately began running wild.
Fortunately, she quickly regained her composure and made an inviting gesture.
"This way, please."
Soon, the two arrived at the counter.
"This is the owner of the manga shop. Please see if he's the person you're looking for."
Noelle stepped aside and gestured toward Han Feng behind the counter.
"It's him! Thank you!"
The moment Ayaka saw Han Feng's familiar face, excitement surged through her heart.
Miss Alice really hadn't deceived her.
After thanking Noelle, Ayaka stepped forward.
"Hello, Boss. My name is Kamisato Ayaka. It's a pleasure to see you again."
Since she didn't know Han Feng's name, she simply used Noelle's form of address and called him "Boss."
"So it's you."
Han Feng smiled.
"You're here to read manga too?"
Looking at the elegant young woman before him, he immediately recognized her.
He had noticed her earlier at the Statue of the Omnipresent God.
However, the battle between the Raiden sisters had been far too entertaining, and his attention had been entirely focused on them.
He hadn't expected to meet Ayaka here.
"Manga?"
Ayaka blinked in confusion.
"It's a form of storytelling with more images and fewer words than a traditional novel. Both your Guuji and your Shogun have read it and approved."
Han Feng smiled.
"How about trying one yourself?"
"The Guuji and the Shogun have both been here?"
Ayaka's eyes widened.
She had initially assumed this was just an ordinary shop.
Yet both Lady Yae and the Raiden Shogun had come here, read manga, and even spoken highly of it.
That alone made it extraordinary.
She didn't suspect Han Feng was deceiving her.
After all, from what she had seen earlier, he clearly had some sort of connection with those two.
"Boss, how does one read manga here?"
After thinking for a moment,
Ayaka decided to accept.
For one thing, she already enjoyed reading light novels from Yae Publishing House.
Trying manga sounded interesting.
For another, even if she wanted to ask Han Feng for help, it would be improper to bring it up during their first meeting.
That would be discourteous.
And it might leave a poor impression.
"100,000 Mora per person. One reading per day."
Han Feng smiled and explained.
"After finishing a manga, you'll receive a reward related to it."
"It could be an ordinary item."
"It could be a skill or technology."
"Or it might even be an ability capable of granting any wish."
"A reward capable of granting any wish?!"
Ayaka was stunned yet again.
That revelation shocked her even more than hearing that Lady Yae and the Shogun had visited the shop.
Because it completely exceeded her imagination.
A reward capable of fulfilling any wish?
Even the Seven Archons likely couldn't accomplish such a thing.
Though she found it difficult to believe, her upbringing and Han Feng's calm demeanor helped her suppress her doubts.
Whether it was true or not—she could simply experience it herself.
With that thought, Ayaka immediately handed over a pouch of Mora.
"Boss, here are the 100,000 Mora."
"The manga are on those shelves."
After accepting the payment, Han Feng pointed toward the bookcases.
"Once you choose one, you can read in either the Quiet Zone or the Discussion Area."
"Thank you."
Ayaka bowed gracefully.
Then she headed toward the shelves.
"There are so many manga here… Which one should I choose?"
Like many customers before her, Ayaka immediately ran into a difficult dilemma.
Still, she was decisive.
If she couldn't choose, she would simply pick one at random.
With that thought, she reached out and took the manga displayed at the very front.
It was none other than Dragon Ball, the manga Han Feng had just added.
Holding the book, Ayaka walked toward the Quiet Zone.
After all, she preferred reading in a peaceful environment.
