MHGA Chapter 300: Within the Realm of the Creators
"If I become a Hunter… can I stop Walpurgisnacht?" Madoka Kaname asked after firming her resolve.
"One month… it's going to be tough," Kairo Retsu roughly estimated. "But you can overdraw."
"Overdraw?" Madoka blinked, confused, but Kairo explained, "You can borrow the strength you'll grow into in the future to help the people you want to save now. And when Walpurgisnacht arrives… just do your best, as much as you can."
"The rest! The Assembly will make up for it!" Kairo beamed brightly. "That's what the Assembly is here for! As a veteran Hunter, I love bringing up rookies."
"Now then… come with me and choose your new weapon."
Kairo extended his hand to Madoka and Hibiki, grinning. "Let the sacred Fourteen Weapons link us together!"
After selecting their new weapons, Hibiki returned to her own world. With the Hunters' permission, she planned to report the Dalamadur situation to her organization.
Madoka, meanwhile, chose to stay at the Assembly for now to learn how to use her new weapon. She also hoped to take this time to grow a little—perhaps even delay Walpurgisnacht's arrival just a bit.
After finishing these miscellaneous tasks, Kairo finally carved out time to begin tackling the issues in the world of Re:CREATORS.
Tanjiro's discovery of Dalamadur's traces in that world was good news for the Hunters. If they followed the trail, they could pinpoint its exact location soon.
After all, Dalamadur wasn't a dragon known for migrating over long distances. Barring any unusual factors, it should still be in that world.
Disguised in stealth gear and equipped with a Stealth Jewel, Kairo infiltrated the world of Re:CREATORS. His first priority was determining the current timeline.
Slipping into a cyber café, Kairo plugged his hard drive full of anime into one of the computers and began surfing the internet for clues.
He quickly confirmed that the protagonists had already begun implementing their plan to trap Altair, the Military Uniform Princess. Online, he found trailers for a massive crossover project titled "Elimination Chamber FES."
It was the plan meant to create a cage that could both contain and battle Altair.
"Looks like it's the same as with Himmel… There's always a time gap between a character's death and their arrival by Felyne cart," Kairo noted as he registered accounts on various platforms and began uploading anime from his hard drive.
At the same time, he used the internet to search for anything that might be related to Dalamadur.
Reports of giant creatures, strange illnesses, bizarre footprints or scale dust—anything suspicious.
And surprisingly, he really did find some clues about Dalamadur's presence.
One particular post even claimed the author had encountered a massive black creature firsthand.
Kairo clicked on the post and saw a blurry photo: a vague silhouette of a dark purple wing. At the top of that wing was what looked like a huge clawed limb…
With a veteran Hunter's eye, Kairo was certain—it was a Dalamadur wing.
"Damn, the internet's really useful!" Kairo jotted down the location listed in the post and continued compiling similar clues, preparing to hand them off to Laios for analysis.
But before he could continue for long, noisy commotion erupted outside his booth.
Kairo peeked out the door and spotted numerous security personnel sweeping the booths one by one—and they were almost at his.
Among them, Kairo spotted a familiar red-haired figure: Selesia, the magical knight protagonist from a fantasy mecha anime and one of the central characters of Re:CREATORS.
Kairo immediately realized his anime uploads had drawn attention. He shut down the computer, and before anyone opened his door, slipped on his stealth cloak.
The guards slammed his booth door open, scanned around, but found nothing. Then they moved on to the next room.
Kairo, crouched low, carefully made his way toward the exit.
Time to find the next internet-connected spot to continue the uploads.
"Still need to look for more signs of Dalamadur, check the hospitals for cases linked to Frenzy Virus… and there's still the Altair problem… man, there's so much to do…"
Grumbling to himself, Kairo vanished into the streets. The guards, Selesia in tow, found nothing in the café.
When the incident was reported to higher authorities, government official Aki Kikuchihara—responsible for all interactions with the Creators—rubbed her forehead in frustration.
"No leads? As expected, is this another mess caused by a creation?"
Meteora, standing beside her, offered, "We don't know their true identity, but based on the content they uploaded… it's clear they understand the rules of Acceptance and are trying to exploit them deliberately."
Currently, across the internet, the anime, manga, and novel material Kairo uploaded was rapidly spreading thanks to netizens.
The anime community didn't care where the content had come from. All they knew was—a ton of binge-worthy stories had suddenly appeared. Many were now watching the shows Kairo posted and sharing rapid-fire reactions on social media.
Aki Kikuchihara frowned. "Could this be the Military Uniform Princess's doing?"
"Unclear… but perhaps we don't need to worry too much," Meteora mused. "Whether it's Altair or some third party we don't yet know, the intention behind those uploads is clearly to have them gain Acceptance…"
"But characters who've manifested in the real world only managed that after a massive amount of Acceptance."
Meteora declared confidently, "At least for the time being, none of these new stories' characters will appear in reality. The Acceptance just isn't there yet!"
