Chapter 232 - 222

From the perspective of the power within the three realms of Hueco Mundo, the Human World, and Soul Society, the Shinigami may truly be worthy of the name "Death God."

If we exclude Aura, the strongest Fullbringers in the Human World are Kūgo Ginjō and Tsukishima Shūkurō, both of whom could be defeated by a single Gotei 13 captain.

The strongest in Hueco Mundo are arguably Starrk and Baraggan. Although Tier Harribel is ranked as the Trecera Espada, her aspect is Sacrifice and her ability ensures that she is nearly impossible to kill. However, her overall combat strength is not the highest among the Espada.

It could even be said that without Aizen Sōsuke and the other two traitors, the power of the Gotei 13 alone would have been enough to flatten Hueco Mundo entirely. After all, without Aizen Sōsuke, the Hollows there would never have evolved into Arrancar in the first place.

This also reflects the growth curve of Soul Society's overall combat strength.

If we look back countless years ago, even a Gillian-class Menos Grande required captain-level Shinigami to subdue them. At that time, those who could achieve Bankai were primarily nobles, as they received elite education and possessed naturally high levels of spiritual pressure.

From birth, those of noble lineage had higher spiritual potential than the common-born.

It would have been inconceivable in those times for a Shinigami like Aizen Sōsuke, himself of common birth, to nearly topple Soul Society.

From this viewpoint, Soul Society is not entirely unfair. Were it truly so, nobles would have ensured that commoners lived only in Rukongai with no chance of entering the Gotei 13 and becoming Shinigami at all. That would have been true suppression and true darkness.

Still, Soul Society is far from being a perfect system.

Despite its flaws, its strength has only grown over the course of a million years. For Shinigami, the most important measure of progress is the number of individuals able to achieve Bankai. The more Shinigami that can reach that level, the stronger Soul Society becomes as a whole.

Shikai alone is a significant power in combat, but Bankai carries weight that can shift the outcome of an entire battle.

With the number of Bankai users steadily increasing and captain-level Shinigami capable of living for centuries, Soul Society's collective strength has continued to climb without pause. If this trend continued, even lieutenants would eventually reach a level where they could crush Menos-class Hollows with ease.

As for the long-standing claim that Vasto Lorde are stronger than captains, that notion has become outdated. The mantle of "Shinigami" has proven worthy of its meaning.

The Gotei 13 remain the invincible guardians of the three realms.

Even the Quincy, who once rivaled Shinigami in strength, were exterminated a thousand years ago at the hands of the Gotei 13.

All of this proves how overwhelming the might of Bankai truly is.

At this current moment, Yuta's strength had already surpassed that of most Shinigami. He stood as one who could rightfully be called invincible among the invincible.

Against the Fullbringers, the difference was vast-the disparity was like that between an adult and a child.

There was no pressure in dealing with them.

Although she could not bite him physically, Riruka still clenched her teeth onto Yuta's clothes stubbornly, refusing to let him move freely. Soon, her saliva stained the material at the back of his waist.

As a breeze moved through the area, Riruka's skirt briefly lifted, and Yuta inadvertently caught sight of her pink-and-white panties, decorated with a cartoon rabbit motif.

Riruka did not react with embarrassment. Instead, she adjusted her posture as if entirely unbothered, twisting her body as though daring him to look.

"Hmph, have you fallen for my charm?" Riruka lifted her long twin ponytails off the ground with her hands, closed her eyes, and smiled with misplaced confidence.

Yuta pressed down on the hem of her skirt with one hand to prevent further exposure.

Although she tried to appear unaffected, Riruka felt her cheeks warm under the weight of his hand.

Why is he being gentle now of all times…

She turned her head away slightly and finally released the bite on his clothing.

For someone like Riruka, even such a simple gesture of consideration was a warmth she had not often experienced.

"Where are you taking me?" she asked, her eyes widening as she realized they were moving further from their previous location. Before them stood a large villa, three stories tall, constructed with wide glass windows that offered an impressive view.

Once inside, Yuta set her down, and she fell into the sofa with relief at finally being able to move freely again. She immediately reached for her dollhouse, from where she retrieved a small rabbit plush and held it tightly to her chest. A box of donuts soon followed, and she began eating them without hesitation.

Before long, the doorbell rang.

It was Kūgo Ginjō and the others.

"So, you've made a decision?" Yuta asked plainly.

"Although we're not ready to fully trust you yet, we've decided to wait and observe," Kūgo Ginjō answered.

"That's fine," Yuta replied simply.

After sending them away, Yuta remained by the door for a moment, watching the way their figures disappeared from sight.

That was all he could allow them for now.

Turning back toward the room, he said, "Riruka, you'll live here from now on."

He raised a hand, and a barrier spread across the villa in an instant. It was fitted with a spiritual recognition function, restricting movement in and out according to his own design.

"In case you get bored, I'll ask Inoue Orihime to keep you company."

"Hmph! Do you think I'm afraid of you now?" Riruka shot a heart-shaped Fullbring projectile toward the barrier.

It floated outward gracefully, but upon contact, it bounced back without effect.

"What…?"

She bit her finger in frustration, her eyes widening at the realization. Yuta's barrier was far stronger than she had anticipated; she truly might not be able to escape it.

The thought of being confined within this villa for the rest of her life unsettled her deeply.

"You bastard, pervert, baka!"

She attempted to activate more of her Fullbring, charging at him with determination. But Yuta calmly extended one hand and pressed down against her head, stopping her charge completely.

She flailed, swinging her long ponytails toward him in desperation, striking his face lightly but without lasting effect.

With one motion, Yuta caught hold of the strands in his grip, halting her attack.

"Think carefully, Riruka. What do you think Kūgo Ginjō and Tsukishima Shūkurō intend to accomplish?"

"Taking revenge on the Shinigami?"

"Do you think something like that could succeed?"

"With their current strength?"

"In the end, it's only self-destruction."

"You're smart enough to judge for yourself what the outcome will be."

Riruka went silent at that, her earlier burst of defiance faltering as she stared at him without another word.
