"Yeah?"
"Then we can't take the initiative to attack."
Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni pondered for a moment before speaking, "I order all captains to prepare for the upcoming battle. The enemy's advance troops announced that the war will begin in five days, but the words of those treacherous cowards who launched the surprise attack cannot be trusted! Prepare immediately for battle with full strength and speed…"
Then he roared and commanded, "We must not allow them to gain the upper hand again!"
His voice carried immense force, and his presence was overwhelming.
Kyōraku Shunsui pressed the brim of his hat down slightly. "Oh my, looks like the old man is serious. Guess I can't afford to slack off this time."
...
Hueco Mundo.
Sung-Sun and the other two Fracción had already collapsed in a pool of blood.
At that moment, a rustling sound echoed across the spirit particle sands, announcing the approach of a figure.
Behind this figure, a small Arrancar girl lay unconscious on the ground.
He walked forward slowly and steadily, yet wherever he passed, the flames consuming Quincy corpses were extinguished one after another.
Seeing this, Pei Xie was shaken.
The flames left behind by Quincy spirit particles burned with such intensity that even stone and sand ignited. Their strength was so great that even Arrancar well beyond the level of ordinary Hollows were effortlessly overwhelmed.
Yet Yuta did not even attack directly. He merely walked forward, and the flames went out as if smothered by some unseen force. Pei Xie could not comprehend how Yuta had extinguished them.
Yuta found the spectacle intriguing. He extended his hand and the spirit particle flames gathered into his palm.
These fires were created by compressing reishi to extreme concentrations and igniting them until they burned with violent nature.
It reminded Yuta of his own flame wine, created with similar principles. Matsumoto Rangiku became drunk after only a single glass because the reishi concentration in that wine far surpassed normal alcohol.
After examining the flames for a while, Yuta extinguished them with a casual gesture. His attention turned toward Sung-Sun and the others. They had yet to unleash their Resurrección, and Yuta knew without it their strength was insufficient.
When Yuta's gaze fell on the Zanpakutō at his waist, a Quincy named Gilge Opie sneered and said, "Oh? I did not expect to encounter a Shinigami here today."
The Quincy cross at his waist transformed into a blade, and at the tip of that blade manifested a bow like a turret. Reishi immediately condensed upon it, and a volley of spirit arrows fired in rapid succession.
"Blut Vene Arrows: all bullets hit!"
He smirked. "I didn't think you'd be so easy to deal with."
But when the smoke cleared, Gilge Opie froze. The arrows he had unleashed were gathered neatly in Yuta's hand, and under Yuta's control, those same arrows turned back against him.
"What…?"
Shock filled Gilge Opie's expression.
How could a Shinigami wield the power of a Quincy?
How could someone so easily take control of reishi arrows created from his own power?
Could it be that this man was not what he seemed?
Before the war began, Yhwach had spoken of a key concept to the Sternritter-the five Special War Potentials. Eliminating them was the highest priority.
They were: Kurosaki Ichigo, Aizen Sōsuke, Urahara Kisuke, Zaraki Kenpachi, and Hyōsube Ichibei.
Kurosaki Ichigo represented potential.
Sōsuke Aizen represented spiritual pressure.
Urahara Kisuke represented strategy.
Zaraki Kenpachi represented combat ability.
Hyōsube Ichibei represented wisdom.
In addition to detailed information about these five, the Wandenreich also gathered intelligence on every captain, lieutenant, and seated officer of the Gotei 13-with even common troops included. Yhwach had prepared for this invasion for over a thousand years.
Yet among all of them, there was one person Yhwach singled out specifically.
He was not one of the five Special War Potentials.
Sitting upon his throne, Yhwach had declared in a deep voice: "That man's name… is Yuta."
At the time, the Sternritter were surprised. None of them had ever heard of this man during the conflicts of a thousand years ago.
Bambietta Basterbine-wearing her military cap and standing less than 1.6 meters tall-had put her hands on her hips and asked with excitement, "Yuta… is he handsome?"
Despite her cute appearance, Bambietta possessed a violent nature. She delighted in destroying anything she disliked-and even more so, things she liked. Her Schrift was "E," representing Explode.
Next to her stood Liltotto Lamperd, a blonde girl who quietly ate cookies from a bag, crumbs falling everywhere. Her indifferent eyes matched her monotone voice as she muttered, "You're making a mess again."
Her Schrift was "G," representing Gluttony.
Bambietta smirked under her cap. "You're no better. Don't compare cookie crumbs to blood."
Liltotto continued eating without expression. "Crumbs and blood aren't the same thing."
Bambietta licked her lips with a dark gleam in her eyes. "You'll never understand. Watching pretty things explode into blood-it's like fireworks. Nothing compares to it."
Liltotto responded flatly while munching another cookie. "Be careful. If His Majesty singled this Yuta out by name, he isn't someone to underestimate."
Nearby, Giselle Gewelle clasped her hands together dreamily, her expression giddy as she muttered to herself, "Bambi is just too cute… I want to get close, but what if she explodes me? What should I do…"
Yhwach's voice had cut through their chatter then. "There is almost no information on Yuta. Far less than even Kurosaki Ichigo."
"If Kurosaki Ichigo is within the realm of understanding… then Yuta exists beyond that realm."
