Chapter-187: the letter from Wendy lark to commander Jordan
Captain Herald was ashamed. "It's my incompetence that even the official seal was stolen. They know everything about my mansion. I have to suspect that there is a traitor in our mansion."
"Besides, our Herald Mansion is just a cover. They are trying to exchange information with other countries through market. Their target is you." Commander Jordan raised his eyebrows, and it was unclear whether he believed it or not.
"I have never had any grudge against the Fifth Prince. I don't even know him." He has never been to the capital, and he is a high ranking prince with power. Where does the hatred come from? Captain Herald had a worried look on his face.
"I guess he wants to find something to hold against the officials first, then control them and let him manipulate them."
"Is this your own guess?" Commander Jordan took a sip from the teacup, "Or do you have any evidence?" Captain Herald was filled with worry.
"I am 90% sure. Otherwise, why would I take the official seal? This is a threat and..." He hesitated to speak, and Commander Jordan was impatient. "Speak." Captain Herald hesitated and said, "The eldest lady...seems to have cooperated with those people."
"Bullshit." Commander Jordan was furious. He picked up the tea bowl and threw it at him, asking angrily, "What good would it be for my own daughter to betray me? Huh?"
Captain Herald didn't dare to hide and was hit directly. His forehead was bleeding again, "I, I didn't mean that..." A clear voice came from outside, "Father, I have something important to tell you, can you come in?"
"Come in." Commander Jordan's expression became friendly again. Jordan Clara held up a letter in both hands, "Father, that person left a letter for you." Commander Jordan took the letter and looked at the seal.
It was sealed. He opened it and took out the letter, what caught his eye was beautiful small calligraphy. "General Jordan, I have no intention of being your enemy, nor do I intend to offend anyone, but your brother in law and his wife are stupid and evil.
First they asked for too much and then they wanted to set fire to me. I'm sorry, but if they do it on the first day of the month, I will do it on the fifteenth day and burn down their lair." It's straightforward, to the point, and written in a very plain language.
"I don't cause trouble, but I'm not afraid of it either. I want to make it clear here that this is purely a personal grudge and I hope it won't escalate into a conflict between the local government and the capital."
"Of course, if you insist on avenging those two fools, I will be happy to accompany you. Fighting against heaven and earth is fun, fighting against people is fun too."
"When you see this letter, I will be thousands of miles away, but I will keep an eye on the developments in Garland City."
"Finally, I want to say that it is a waste to let Captain Herald manage the trade. He could have used this opportunity to build a prosperous first class city in the Southwest and pay tens of millions of coins of tax every year.
What a pity, such a pity, he has a treasure mountain but doesn't know how to use it. What an idiot." He looked at the final signature: Heaven's will. The corner of his mouth twitched,
"Heaven's will…? Are you implying that you are the Heaven's will like a god? Or are you implying that you are the imperial envoy? Captain Herald, you have offended him badly."
When he looked at his wife's brother in law again, somehow, two big words flashed through his mind "Idiot". Captain Herald suffered a huge loss this time, and he wanted to save the situation immediately.
"Sir, we should find a way to catch him and set an example for others." Commander Jordan sighed silently. He was afraid of comparison in everything. Before, he thought his wife's brother-in-law was a smart man, although too greedy.
But this time, people played him around and toyed with him to their heart's content. "You can't catch him. He's already run away." Captain Herald's eyes flashed with ferocity, "Then send a message to all checkpoints to stop the people."
Commander Jordan did not comment, "Who is that person?" Captain Herald suppressed his anger and glanced at Jordan Clara, "I haven't seen him, but the young lady has seen him." Jordan Clara looked as if nothing had happened and did not look away.
"You haven't seen it?" Commander Jordan smiled playfully, "He turned Garland City upside down without showing his face and he was able to escape unscathed." Such a person is too scary to be an opponent.
Captain Herald's face was burning, but he still said stubbornly, "He was in the dark while I was in the light. He was scheming without intention, so naturally he had the upper hand. But I believe that if I am well prepared, he will definitely lose miserably."
He paused, "Besides, he has an inside line." He pointed the finger at Jordan Clara again, but he didn't dare to say it too clearly. Commander Jordan heard it and said in a disgusted tone, "Clara, tell me about that person."
Jordan Clara opened his mouth, but swallowed his words and glanced at Captain Herald. Commander Jordan saw this and waved his hand, "Captain Herald, you step down first." Captain Herald was so angry that he was about to die.
They were usually very close when drinking, but at the critical moment, his daughter was still closer to him. His four nephews have to rank behind Miss Jordan, which is very frustrating.
After he left, Jordan Clara sighed softly, "In the midst of chatting and laughing, he planned to sink everything like a tornado." Commander Jordan was extremely shocked that such a high evaluation came from the mouth of his proud daughter.
