For a while, neither Hayakawa nor Aramaki says anything. The car remains quiet as Ryoma's words hang in the air, neither of them quite sure what to make of them.
Then Ryoma's head slowly sinks against the seat, his breathing growing heavier until a low snore escapes him and breaks the silence.
"And... he's asleep."
Aramaki looks down at him and shakes his head with an amused expression. He adjusts Ryoma's position so that he is sitting more comfortably against the seat.
Hayakawa, however, still hasn't started driving. He turns around in his seat and studies Ryoma for a moment before turning his attention to Aramaki.
"What was that?"
"He's just drunk," Aramaki replies.
"And?"
"And…?" Aramaki blinks. "He just had a fight. Took a few punches to the head. And he hardly ever gets hit there. When you're that good at avoiding punches, sometimes your tolerance for getting hit isn't as good as someone who takes punches regularly."
"Got hit in the head, huh? Of course."
