After lunch, Megan arranged the afternoon itinerary.
First, they went to a pottery studio to make clay pieces together.During the process, their fingertips brushed countless times.
Next, they went to an indoor ice rink.Megan knew how to skate a little, but not very well—so Jason naturally held her hand.
Several times, Megan lost her balance and fell lightly into Jason's arms, but she never stayed there long. She quickly steadied herself each time.
All of the physical contact felt natural and unforced, yet it carried a subtle warmth.
Occasionally, when their eyes met, her gaze lingered for a heartbeat longer than normal. The atmosphere would turn slightly intimate—only for her to look away a moment later.
After leaving the rink, Megan asked softly,"Jason, where do you want to go tonight? We could watch a movie… or walk the night market?"
Jason glanced at her."Someone invited us to the River City Grand Theater. Let's go see a performance."
Megan's eyes brightened."I heard the dance drama 'Only This Green' is on tour here?"
Jason nodded."Interested?"
Megan nodded lightly."Yes. I've wanted to see it for a long time. But… should I change outfits? This one doesn't really fit the occasion."
Jason took out his phone and called Olivia, asking her to arrange things.
Then he took Megan to a Chanel boutique in the nearby upscale mall. The store director personally came out to receive them, respectfully leading them to a private VIP fitting room.
Megan noticed that even well-dressed socialite women in the main showroom weren't allowed in here.
Inside, a stylist presented an entire row of dresses.Megan took just one look and felt her breath catch.
These were top-tier, limited couture pieces—pieces normally borrowed only by high-profile socialites or first-line celebrities for major galas. Not only were they not for sale… but even renting them required qualifications most people never had.
Yet here, the entire row was simply placed in front of her—for her to choose from freely.
That familiar sensation returned—the feeling of being close to wealth, of stepping from ordinary life into a world of influence and privilege.Jason's aura enveloped her again.
Megan chose a red cut-out evening gown, elegant yet seductive, perfectly complementing her figure.
The texture, stitching, and fall of the fabric were beyond anything she had ever worn before—true luxury, unmistakable at a glance.
When she walked out of the fitting room, she lightly twirled before Jason and asked,"Does it look good?"
Jason looked at her for a moment and smiled."It looks incredible. It suits you perfectly, Megan."
He wasn't just offering polite praise—she genuinely looked stunning.
"Hehe." Megan was delighted by the compliment. She naturally linked her arm through Jason's as if wearing the evening gown made such closeness perfectly reasonable.
As they stepped out of the VIP fitting room, Megan clearly noticed the envious looks from the well-dressed women outside.
Then they drove to the River City Grand Theater. As soon as they exited the car, a manager respectfully came forward to greet them.
Walking toward the front rows, several people recognized Jason and respectfully addressed him as Mr. Carter.
The manager led them to center-front VIP seats, where the most elegant usher stepped forward to welcome them warmly.
Sitting beside Jason, Megan felt her vanity swell with satisfaction. She was no longer the ordinary girl from yesterday. Here — by Jason's side — she was like a princess.
She knew clearly that all of this came from Jason, so she held onto his arm even more closely, leaning lightly against him.
Soon after they sat, a round-faced middle-aged man approached with his secretary.
The secretary introduced,"Mr. Carter, this is Mr. Johnson from Yupin International Group."
Jason stood and shook Mr. Johnson's hand."Mr. Johnson, here to enjoy the performance?"
Mr. Johnson extended both hands and bowed slightly, his attitude extremely respectful."Yes, I didn't expect to meet you here, Mr. Carter. I've heard your name for a long time. It's an honor to finally meet you."
Jason replied politely,"Not at all. I've heard much about you as well. Once the Harborview Bay Project is underway, we'd welcome Yupin International to take part."
Jason's tone was casual, but Mr. Johnson was visibly excited by the words.
A moment later, a tall, thin young man came over, introducing himself as the CEO of Galaxy Internet Technologies. His voice trembled slightly — nervous and respectful.
Then a slightly heavyset man came over, introducing himself as the founder of Horizon Capital.
Megan watched from the side, stunned.
Yupin International Group…Galaxy Internet Technologies…Horizon Capital…
Among them, Galaxy Internet.Horizon Capital had hundreds of millions in investment assets.Yupin International even had influence overseas — a level the former second-ranked suitor in her "pond" could only dream of approaching.
Yet right now — all these business leaders were coming one by one to greet Jason Carter with deference.
Jason's status now seemed even more unfathomable.
Or perhaps… it had always been this high. She simply couldn't see it before.
Then, a square-faced middle-aged man approached.Jason immediately stood up — without needing any introduction.
The man extended his hand warmly, smiling,"Mr. Carter, I've been meaning to meet with you to discuss collaborating on Harborview Bay. Didn't expect we'd meet here."
"District Chief Reynolds, I didn't expect it either," Jason responded, natural and unhurried — almost as if greeting an old acquaintance.
Harborview Bay was located in Seaview District, but required coordination with neighboring areas, including Fremont District, where Reynolds was the District Chief.
"Haha, supporting traditional culture, aren't we? Helps keep the spirit sharp," Reynolds laughed with genuine ease.
Jason smiled,"You're too kind. Let's schedule a time soon to talk things through in detail."
Megan watched this exchange and felt completely overwhelmed.
Not just wealthy businessmen — even a District Chief came personally to greet Jason.
She didn't know what exactly Harborview Bay was, but she didn't need to know.
She only knew one thing:
Jason's identity and status were rising to a height she could never reach on her own.
And the feeling…was intoxicating.
A luxurious life was tempting. But even more intoxicating was social elevation — the ability to walk into any place confidently, never again being trampled on or looked down upon.
She knew this kind of life was dangerous — addictive.
But she didn't want to resist it anymore.
She wanted to step into this world and live indulged, admired, and untouchable.
