In front of him was Kai.
Kai, who Cass had just been with earlier, along with the other group members who'd been missing since their initial separation.

So this was where the sounds had been coming from.

As if on cue, the group's attention turned toward him. Not a single look of shame among them, no guilt, no embarrassment. Just eyes… sizing him up.
Cass's gaze landed on Kai's completely naked body, and his erection still standing hard, aching, and very much mid-activity before Cass's sudden interruption. Heat burned its way up Cass's neck, but it wasn't from desire, it was secondhand embarrassment so strong he almost wished for the ground to swallow him whole.
Damn these shameless bastards. Why did he feel like the awkward one here when he wasn't the one having sex in the middle of a fun adventure they suggested?
He cleared his throat, ready to speak, when Kai interrupted with a slow grin.
"You finally made it."
That look in Kai's eyes… desire, unhidden and unwavering. Cass knew he hadn't been imagining it earlier.
But Cass didn't back down. He met Kai's gaze and shot back, dripping sarcasm.
"'Finally made it'? You damned bastard. Is this the artifact I'm supposed to find using the map you gave me?"
Kai's grin twisted into something darker, more lustful. His lust filled eyes raked over Cass in a way that made his skin crawl.
"Well… depends on how you see it," Kai said smoothly. "This—" He gestured shamelessly to his thick, protruding arousal. "—is an artifact. So, lucky you. You wanted my attention… and now you've got it. It's hard, y'know."
Cass stared in disgust, his stomach churning. Was this guy for real? How could someone be this vulgar for God's sake!! Controlling his rising anger he asked "So this 'fun adventure' everything was planned?"
To his horror, Kai simply nodded.
"Yeah. It was."
Fuck.
He'd had a bad feeling earlier, and now it was confirmed.
If he wanted to keep his body intact, and his hole still virgin-tight, that was if the original Cass had handed this body to him a virgin though.
He needed to get out. Fast. Now.
There was no artifact here. No real reason to stay. But he didn't know the way out, and he didn't know the dungeon's layout. All he knew was that there was a time limit, and once it was up, they'd be transported back to the academy.
So… his only option was to stall. Or hide until the time limit expired.
He was ready to make a break for it when Kai's voice cut through the air like a whip.
"Seize him."
Before Cass could react, rough hands grabbed him from behind.
This bastard—!
Did he seriously plan to rape him?
The answer came in Kai's next words, his voice cold and certain.
"Undress him. Strip him naked."
Cass's fury exploded.
"Hey! How dare you! Do you want to force yourself on me?! That's rape! It's illegal, you—"
Kai chuckled, the sound low and mocking.
"Fool. Why do you think I went to all this trouble? Choosing this dungeon… planning this entire setup… It's because whatever happens in a dungeon, stays in a dungeon. No rules. No laws. No punishments. Here, I can fuck you, rape you, even kill you and nothing will happen to me."
"You fucking bastard!" Cass roared, struggling, but Kai ignored him. The others had already started yanking at his clothes. Panic twisted in Cass's chest he needed a way out. Fast.
So he changed tactics.
"If you wanted me, you could've just asked," he said through gritted teeth. "Why force it? Why would I reject a hot Alpha like you?"
Hot alpha, my ass. The sight of Kai's unkempt, sweat-slicked body made Cass want to vomit, but he forced himself to keep the disgust off his face. This whole situation was proof that his stance on never trusting horny alpha bastards was right. He regretted letting his guard down.
Kai's smirk widened.
"Really? I thought you wouldn't agree willingly you've always brushed off my advances. Saying you already belonged to Alpha Damian."
Cass filed that away, apparently, the original Cass had turned this creep down before. Good for him. At least the guy had taste.
Outwardly, Cass forced a coy smile.
"Of course I want you. I only said that to keep rumors from reaching Damian's ears. But since we're here, where no one will know… why would I keep rejecting you? I want you badly. But…"
Kai leaned in, his breath hot against Cass's neck. "But what?"
Cass pointed toward the other members.
"I want them out of this room. I'll be shy otherwise."
Hook, line, sinker.
Kai ordered them out, and Cass nearly smirked as they obeyed.
The moment they were gone, Kai buried his face in Cass's neck, inhaling deeply with a groan.
"Your scent… ahh, it's so fucking good."
Oh. Right. He was an Omega. That explained it.
Another reminder that he needed to learn how to control his scent — and fast. Before he started attracting horny bastards like this one.
"Kiss me, Cass. I want to feel your lips on mine."
Cass fought the overwhelming urge to just punch him and bolt. He hated every bit of this, but for his life and his body, he forced himself to lean in.
The moment Kai's tongue shoved its way into his mouth, Cass bit down. Hard.
Blood flooded his tongue. Kai screamed loudly but his screams was muffled against his lips.
Serves you right.
Without hesitation, Cass's hands shot downward, grabbing Kai's hard shaft viciously and squeezing before slamming his knee into it with every ounce of strength he had.
This was the only self defence he could think of and it worked!!
Kai's groan turned into a raw, guttural shout of pain. He collapsed onto the bed, curling in on himself, while Cass fell to the floor, gasping for breath and trying to recover his strength.
Help!" Kai gasped, his voice thick with pain.
Unlucky for Cass, the others hadn't gone to far causing his victory to be short-lived.
"YOU BASTARD! WHAT DID YOU DO TO KAI?!"
Before Cass could even register it, a fist came flying toward his face
It connected with a sickening crack—
And that was all it took to knock out his already half-dead body.
