Morning light streamed softly through the windows, painting the room in warm gold. Hye-mi was busy in the kitchen, flipping pancakes and stirring something in a pot, while the smell of breakfast filled the house. Mira and Daniel were running around, grabbing their school bags and tying shoelaces, trying to get ready for school.
"Go wake up your uncle!" Hye-mi called over his shoulder, not taking her eyes off the stove.
Mira and Daniel grinned at each other and ran toward Seo-jun's room. They barged in, hopping onto his bed. Mira clambered on his chest, and Daniel plopped onto his stomach.
"Ahhh!" Seo-jun yelped, startled, trying to push them off. "Mira! Daniel! Get off me!"
The kids just giggled, teasing him, holding on tight for a moment before finally hopping off. Seo-jun rubbed his eyes, sitting up slowly. "You two are terrible…" he muttered, yawning. Mira smiled mischievously, Daniel laughed, and they left the room, leaving Seo-jun sitting up, messy-haired and half-awake.
