Morning — Office
The office buzzed with low chatter and the soft whirring of printers. The air smelled faintly of coffee and toner. Seo-jun trudged down the corridor, a stack of files pressed tight against his chest. His hair was a mess, eyes half-open — clearly hadn't slept much.
When he reached Min-jae's office, he knocked twice, quiet but firm.
"Director Min, I have the—"
Before he could even finish, the door flung open and a hand shot out, yanking him inside.
"Ah—! What the— hey!" Seo-jun nearly tripped, the files slipping out of his arms as the door slammed behind them with a thud.
Warm breath brushed his ear. A low chuckle followed.
"You should've seen your face," Min-jae murmured, his voice too close. "You're such a scaredy-cat."
Seo-jun jerked forward, glaring. His ears were pink.
"I'm not! You just scared the hell outta me! I thought— I don't know— the CEO or something!"
