Chuck Eastwood reached the third floor of the Townsvolk Library. He scurried to the left side of the stairs to move to the spot where the fireflies from his magical Tome, were hovering. As soon as he reached the place, he started digging for clues on it's whereabouts. He was sure it was here, but it was still a vague info. He still needed to find the book that looked like the Eternal Tomes that he had. He knew that the Tomes would be in different colors, due to the Fireflies Tome being yellow and the Spacial Distortion Tome being black. He didn't know how to distinguish the books, but he knew that the Tomes had a special symbol in the bottom right corner of the book.
David was climbing the stairs looking for Chuck in the first floor. He had already lost him as he was walking slow, and he wasn't allowed to shout his name, as this was a library. Lin was half asleep in a chair in the corner of the room, in the ground floor. And Melissa, in the same floor, was busy reading books about Micro-Biology in a language she understood.
Isabella sat back at her table, in the front of the building, directly beside the main door. She occasionally looked at the clock to her left, checking the time, eagerly waiting to go home while closing the building. It was still 9 P.M. and she had about an hour more to spend in the library. She sighed and continued reading the book she had on her table.
Suddenly, three large shadows covered the room in its' darkness. Isabella adjusted her glasses to see the three individuals, clad in shiny armour and cloth, standing at the entrance.
One had pinkish, long hair and was a particularly handsome man. He was about six feet tall and had a huge sword in it's sheath on his hip. The man to his left was also the same height, but looked less muscular and more skinny. He had a thin layer of moustache and beard and his brown hair extended itself to be ugly sideburns. He was ugly, in contrast to the pink-haired individual. The man on that guys left was a rather tall and bulky man. He was about a feet taller, and had a darker skin. He had a French beard and an almost shaved head. He had a huge double-sided axe, tied to his back. He was extremely muscular but looked twice the width of the man in the middle.
These three "knights" stood in the hallway, menacingly, and silently. Most of the customers in the library didn't even notice them, except Isabella. Looking at them was striking enough to leave an impression, engraved in their heads.
The brown haired sideburns guy turned to Isabella.
Sideburns: Hey!! You there!! Did you see a red-haired girl out here..??
Isabella had seen only one single girl with red hair in her entire life.....- the same one that was in the library right now. Isabella knew that she was a friends to David, an acquaintance, so she hesitated to reply, despite knowing that the three knights were trouble. Before she could answer though, the pink haired dude stopped him.
Pink-hair: Stop it, Olaf..! It is disgraceful of us Floral Knights to scare innocents...
Olaf: But...Commander Rose...!!! We can't get answers until we threaten...
Rose: No...we are not doing that!! Bjorn....you take the left...Olaf...you are going upstairs.
Commander Rose of the Floral Knights, as they called him, was clearly the one in charge. The sideburns guy, named Olaf looked displeased and Bjorn the large man, was just following orders.
Rose walked up to Isabella and looked at her eyes with a charming smile.
Rose: I'm sorry about my subordinate, mademoiselle....we are just here to capture an evil monstrous tyrant! We will go soon....do not worry..
Isabella was too stunned to speak. And then the commander turned back with a seriousness in his face. He looked at the bookshelves.
Melissa wondered what the huge shadows were on the wall and walked towards the entrance and saw the Floral Knights together. And to her dismay, Rose noticed her too and suddenly smiled, ear to ear.
Melissa: Shit!
Rose: There she is!!
Bjorn immediately saw her and Melissa tried hiding behind the books. So the large man walked up to the shelves, and so Melissa had no choice but to run. If she was caught, she would be beheaded. She knew that. She ran as fast as she could, but when she turned, she saw Bjorn over her shoulder. He had almost caught her already. With her last choice, she screamed for help.
Melissa: LIIIINNNNNNN!!!!!!!
As the huge bulky arm of the monstrous man almost grasped her frail body, a Kukri blade flew out of nowhere, piercing his arm. It didn't really hurt to the massive Bjorn, but he was confused and turned towards the direction of the blade. But before he could even turn, Lin had kicked him in the face, sending shockwaves in his face. Teeth were broken, and mouth was filled with the taste of blood. Lin landed on his feet while recovering his Blade from Bjorn's hand and stood next to Melissa.
The shout for help alerted both David and Chuck. Chuck was still searching for the book, but he ran to the huge middle, from where he can look below. David did the same too from the first floor. As they both looked down, they saw Bjorn flying through the shelves and landing on his face, while Lin had his blades out.
David: What the fu-
Chuck: Oh my God..!
Chuck ran to the tiny bag that he had kept near the shelves and picked up the Transponder.
Chuck: I need to get Max here, RIGHT NOW!!!
