Mason slowly pushed himself up. His expression had completely changed. The cheerful grin he had worn earlier was gone, replaced by an ugly expression of hatred.
"You... You actually dare to hurt me this much?"
Adelia stared at him coldly.
Meanwhile, Amon was having a much harder time dealing with Kethos.
WHOOSH!
A thick tentacle swept toward him from behind.
Amon twisted his body and swung his hatchet, cutting through the approaching mass of flesh. However, before the severed tentacle could fall, several smaller tendrils emerged from its cut end.
They rapidly extended toward him.
"Seriously?"
Amon flapped his wings and shot upward.
The tendrils missed him, but Kethos had already prepared another attack.
Its enormous body twisted. Dozens of flesh-covered spikes emerged from its back and shot toward Amon.
WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!
Amon immediately gathered darkness around his body.
A dark veil covered him just as the spikes arrived.
CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!
