Chapter 32 - The Warrior

The two red eyes remained outside the window.

Alexander the Light stood still.

Aiona moved closer to him.

"Who is that?"

Alexander did not answer.

The figure slowly stepped out of the darkness.

He was a young warrior.

He wore simple black armor.

A sword hung from his back.

His face looked normal.

His eyes were normal too.

But something was wrong.

He was not moving like himself.

The warrior stopped a few steps away from the house.

Then he looked directly at Alexander.

"Alexander."

Alexander stepped outside.

Aiona followed him.

"Who are you?"

The warrior smiled.

"My name is Alexander."

Alexander the Light stared at him.

"That's my name."

"I know."

The warrior's smile became wider.

Aiona looked at him carefully.

"Why are you here?"

The warrior ignored her.

His eyes remained fixed on Alexander the Light.

"I came to see you."

"Why?"

"Because I wanted to know how strong you are."

Alexander frowned.

"I don't understand."

The warrior suddenly laughed.

"Of course you don't."

His voice changed for a moment.

It became deeper.

Colder.

Then it returned to normal.

Aiona noticed it.

"Alexander..."

The warrior suddenly disappeared.

BOOM!

He appeared directly in front of Alexander and threw a punch.

Alexander raised his hand.

Their fists collided.

BOOM!

The shockwave pushed both of them backward.

Aiona quickly moved away.

Alexander looked at the warrior.

"You attacked me without warning."

The warrior laughed.

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Because I wanted to see what you could do."

The warrior rushed toward him again.

Alexander moved aside.

The warrior's fist missed his face and destroyed part of the wall behind him.

Alexander grabbed his arm and threw him across the street.

The warrior landed on his feet.

He looked at Alexander.

Then he laughed.

"Interesting."

Alexander looked at him.

"You are not an ordinary warrior."

The warrior smiled.

"And you're not as strong as I expected."

Alexander's expression became serious.

Aiona watched them from a distance.

She could feel something strange.

The warrior's body was giving off two different feelings.

One was his own.

The other...

Was dark.

Very dark.

She whispered,

"Something is controlling him."

The warrior suddenly looked at her.

His eyes became red for less than a second.

Aiona froze.

Then his eyes returned to normal.

The warrior looked back at Alexander.

"Let's continue."

He rushed forward.

Alexander raised his hand.

A bright light exploded from his body.

BOOM!

The warrior was pushed backward.

He crashed into a building.

For a few seconds, he did not move.

Then...

He stood up.

Blood ran down the side of his face.

But he was smiling.

"That's better."

Alexander looked at him.

"You want to fight?"

The warrior laughed.

"I want to know how powerful you really are."

He suddenly moved faster.

His sword came out.

He swung it toward Alexander.

Alexander blocked it with his hand.

The blade stopped.

The warrior's eyes widened.

Alexander pushed the sword away.

Then he struck the warrior in the chest.

BOOM!

The warrior flew across the street.

He crashed into the ground.

Aiona watched in silence.

Alexander walked toward him.

"You should stop."

The warrior slowly stood.

Then he laughed.

A deep voice suddenly came from inside him.

"Stop?"

Alexander froze.

That voice was not the warrior's.

The warrior's head slowly lifted.

His eyes turned completely red.

A dark smile appeared on his face.

"Why would I stop?"

Alexander stared at him.

"Who are you?"

The warrior laughed.

"You don't need to know."

Alexander's eyes narrowed.

The voice continued.

"I only wanted to see you."

"And now I have."

The warrior suddenly disappeared.

He appeared behind Alexander.

Alexander turned just in time.

The warrior punched him.

BOOM!

Alexander was pushed backward.

He stopped himself in the air.

The warrior looked up at him.

"You're strong."

Then he laughed.

"But you're still far from what you should be."

Alexander's expression became cold.

"What are you talking about?"

The warrior tilted his head.

"You will understand one day."

Alexander flew toward him.

The warrior raised his sword.

Their attacks collided.

BOOM!

The ground cracked beneath them.

They moved so quickly that the people nearby could barely see them.

Punch.

Kick.

Sword.

Light.

The battle continued.

Neither one wanted to stop.

But the warrior was slowly being pushed back.

Alexander was getting stronger with every moment.

The warrior suddenly stopped.

He smiled.

"That's enough."

Alexander landed.

"Already?"

The warrior looked at him.

"I've seen enough."

Then his eyes turned red again.

A dark voice whispered through his mouth.

"You're much more interesting than I expected."

Alexander stared at him.

"Whoever is controlling you..."

The warrior smiled.

"Find me."

Alexander's eyes narrowed.

"I will."

The warrior turned around.

Then he suddenly stopped.

Without looking back, he said,

"One more thing."

Alexander waited.

The warrior laughed.

"Don't become too confident."

"Because when I return..."

The red glow in his eyes became stronger.

"...I won't be testing you anymore."

He disappeared into the darkness.

Aiona quickly walked toward Alexander.

"That wasn't a normal warrior."

Alexander looked in the direction the warrior had gone.

"I know."

"Something was inside him."

Alexander remained silent.

Deep inside the warrior...

Something laughed.

Something that had been watching Alexander the Light from the very beginning.

Alexander the Dark.

He had never shown his face.

He had never appeared himself.

He had simply watched.

And now...

He had finally found a way to speak to Alexander the Light.

But this battle was only a test.

The real battle had not even started.

To be continued...
