"This is a bad idea; let's go back! You don't need to prove anything." I try to convince Cyrus, but he only shakes his head.
"No. You asked me for something for the first time; I'm going to heed my words." He grabs my hand in his and starts to walk ahead.
"I didn't mean it like that. Yes, I wanted to come here, but I had some other way in my mind. Let's go back." I walk along with him.
Cyrus just smiles fondly. "What other ways?"
"Either alone or through Oliver—" Cyrus stops abruptly, making me stop a step ahead as well.
I bite my lips once I realise what I just said. Stupid me.
I slowly turn around and face him only to see his face closed off. His jaw tightens, and he breathes through his nose before he asks. "Aren't you a little too obsessed with your brother, Princess?"
I roll my eyes. "It's getting old now; drop it. Besides, what other ways could I enter this town?"
