Chapter 60 - Future Plans

While I had my fair share of guesses as to which scene would await me when I returned to the apartment, none of them involved Megan and Lois calmly talking to each other as they worked to clean up the kitchen.

For all intents and purposes, it could have been a scene in any household. Though the fact that both of them were wearing practically nothing except my shirts was a bit unorthodox. The sight also made me pause in the doorway, as I realized for the countless time what a lucky bastard I was.

Megan then happened to glance over and catch me staring, making her smirk, "You know it's rude to stare."

"I actually think you would get more offended if I didn't," I muttered and made Lois blush as my hungry gaze roamed over their exposed thighs and barely concealed bottoms, "This is every man's dream, waking up to a beautiful woman walking around his house in nothing but a shirt. But I guess god does have favorites because I got to wake up to two."

"Always with the flirting," Megan muttered with a roll of her eyes as she sauntered over and pressed herself against me, letting me feel her naked body beneath the thin layer of cloth.

"Funny how you never tell me to stop," I shot back before leaning down and kissing Megan on the lips.

After breaking away from the kiss, I looked over and saw that Lois had turned away and was making herself busy with the dishes, trying her hardest to either ignore Megan and me, or for us to ignore her.

Of course, I couldn't let that stand, so I quickly moved behind Lois, putting my hands on her hips while pressing our bodies together, "Morning, beautiful. Did you enjoy breakfast?"

Lois jumped at my sudden touch, freezing for a moment before she seemingly relaxed, "Breakfast was...very good, thank you for cooking."

"Hmmm, it was my pleasure," I whispered into Lois' ear as my hands trailed down her waist and over the swell of her fat ass.

I felt a shiver run through Lois' body, and a reluctant moan escaped her lips. I could tell that her body wanted me desperately, but she was still hesitant and holding back.

"L-look, last night was a-amazing," Lois stammered as my hands continued to explore quickly, finding their way under her shirt and onto her naked body, "B-but I think it was a mistake a-and w-we would all just be better off-"

I silenced Lois by cupping her heavy chest, enjoying the way her full breasts spilled out of my hands as I gently squeezed them, "I'm sorry, but I can't forget you, Lois, not after tasting you. I can now say confidently that your husband doesn't deserve a woman like you. And after last night, I think you know that."

"W-what am I supposed to do, just up and leave?" Lois stressed even as she braced against the counter and arched her back, pushing her ass into me, "D-divorce my husband and m-move in with you a-and my daughter into this apartment where you're going to bring in g-god knows how many more women?"

My hands paused in their relentless teasing, and Lois let out a soft sigh of relief, "You do have a point, this little place of mine isn't enough to support a family. I guess I'll have to buy a house then."

"W-what are you talking about?" Lois asked as she turned around to look up into my eyes, "You can't just buy a house."

I grinned and dropped my hands back down to her hips, "I kinda can, I was an accountant, remember. Now it'll probably be a few months before I find the right property and get it ready to live in, so you'll have plenty of time to realize how little your husband does for you."

"Don't talk about him like that," Lois muttered, though her tone was hesitant, "Peter tries his best to provide for us."

"And his best includes getting drunk every night with his friends, content with working the same office job for years without a promotion in sight, and ignoring his beautiful wife to the point where she has to step outside their marriage just to feel appreciated and loved?"

Lois recoiled with each word as it stung with the truth, and by the end of my tirade, she could barely look me in the eyes.

Looking down at her, I could see the unspilled tears nearly overflowing, and I realized I might have taken it too far. I let out a sigh before leaning down and gently kissing Lois on the lips. It was a tender embrace, and after a second, I felt Lois' body relax against mine as she leaned into the kiss and wrapped her arms around my neck.

After several long seconds, I broke away from the kiss and looked down to find Lois staring up at me, "Believe me when I say I'm tempted, but you have to understand this has been my life for so long."

"I know, which is why I needed to show you what your life could be," I responded softly, "Just remember that the next time your husband takes you for granted, you have a better option. In the meantime, I'll be working on that house you mentioned."

After our little talk, Lois didn't stay over much longer, quickly getting dressed and taking the pill before driving back to her home.

I hated to see her leave, but I knew that pushing too hard would only drive Lois away. I had done everything I needed to ensure she would fall for me with time, which was fine, as the system had just added a new task to the growing pile.

'No rest for the wicked,' I thought as I looked over my most ambitious quest yet. Fortunately, big numbers weren't as much of a deterrent after spending my entire career managing multi-billion dollar companies.

'It's all about scale and efficiency.'

Opening up my status page, I navigated down to the properties tab and clicked on the option to upgrade the restaurant, only to be met with an error notification.

[Warning! Upgrade Requirement Unmet!]

Kitchen staff: 0/1

Residential Property: 0/1

I frowned, staring at the hidden requirements that had now just decided to reveal themselves, 'Feels a bit retroactive, but I guess the system did mention balancing some things.'

"What's that look on your face for?" Megan asked as she jabbed her finger into my side, making me flinch.

"Mhh, just finding out some details that would have been useful to know earlier," I muttered, still somewhat upset, "But it's fine, can't get stuck up on things gotta adapt and keep moving."

"And in this scenario, that means?" Megan asked, hoping I would clarify.

"That we're getting a second cook as soon as possible, and that I need to start looking at properties in the area," I answered before the sharp honk of a horn came from outside.

Moving over to look out the window, I grinned when I saw Ashe's truck parked on the curb, weighed down by the two barrels of cider I had requested.

"Ooh, is that the sexy farm girl?" Megan asked with a broad grin across her face as she peered around me.

"Yep, though if you want to meet her, I suggest putting on some pants," I remarked as I turned away from the window and walked towards the door.

"Just wait for me, I'll only be a second," Megan called out as she ran to the bedroom to get dressed.

--[Ashe]--

I looked up as the door to the restaurant opened and Ramon stepped out onto the sidewalk, followed by a perky young thing who I'd imagined would become a town favorite if she started serving at the Drunken Clam.

Our eyes met, and I expected the usual hostility of a woman marking her territory. However, her eyes conveyed nothing but intrigue and hospitality.

"Is that my cider?"

Ramon's question took my attention away from his girl, who saddled up beside him as I nodded once, "You know it is, two barrels just like you asked."

Ramon grinned, the expression full of confidence and arrogance that I couldn't help but admit to finding frustratingly attractive, "Never doubt you would deliver, though, before I offload and you take off, I wanna introduce you to someone."

"Megan, but feel free to call me Meg."

Meg stepped forward and offered her hand, which I didn't hesitate to shake, "Ashe, pleasure, you're his woman?"

Meg grinned as she stepped back, "I'm one of them, yes."

"One of?" I repeated with a raised eyebrow, which only made Meg grin, "Yep, so don't feel the need to hold back on my account."
