It was a striking figure, with streaks of lightning around its body. It had a humanoid face, blueish skin with only two arms that ended in sharp, blade-like extensions of pure electrical energy. Its lower half was a constantly shifting mass of arcing bolts that never touched the ground.
Where eyes should have been, there were only two points of blinding light, crackling with raw energy.
He glanced around, then spotted Lysandra.
"Oh," he said. "Didn't know anyone was in here."
Lysandra lowered her hand, and the Djinn ceased its attack, hovering in place. She turned toward Kayden and wiped the sweat from her brow.
"I can leave if you need the room," she said.
Kayden shook his head. "Nah, it's fine. I can wait."
Lysandra hesitated, then gestured to the other side of the room. "Or we could share. It's big enough."
Kayden considered that for a moment, then nodded. "Yeah, alright."
