Lock said, "Your creation may have a fateful connection with her. I'll take them to see it."
In the original flow of destiny, Vision and Wanda Maximoff—the Scarlet Witch—were lovers, deeply bound by emotion and fate.
After Vision's death, Wanda lost control of her powers and pulled the entire town of Westview into an illusion, creating a false world where she could find comfort.
Not only did she recreate Vision, she even conjured two children—and her long-dead brother, Quicksilver.
If you think about it carefully, Wanda's life has been nothing short of tragic.
When she was a child, she saw her parents die right before her eyes—killed by artillery shells. That kind of trauma stays forever. No wonder she hated Stark so much.
If the second shell hadn't been a dud, the twins wouldn't have survived at all.
Later, when she awakened her powers, she was taken by Hydra, turned into a human experiment, and used as a weapon.
Then came Ultron—his plan to wipe out humanity. Wanda resisted him in the end, but her brother Pietro was killed by random gunfire during the battle.
The two were twins—connected body and soul. When Quicksilver died, Wanda felt it instantly.
What she said to Ultron afterward summed up the depth of her grief:
"I just died once. Do you know what that feels like?"
When Vision was born, they met, and for a brief time, she found love.
But soon after, Vision was stabbed by Thanos's minions.
They hid in Wakanda, trying to remove the Mind Stone from Vision's forehead before Thanos could reach it. But they were too late.
In the end, Wanda had to kill her lover with her own hands to stop Thanos from taking the Stone.
It was a mercy—and a curse.
But even that wasn't the end.
Moments later, during the Battle of Wakanda, Thanos reversed time with the Time Stone—resurrecting Vision only to rip the Mind Stone from his head in front of Wanda.
Her lover died twice before her eyes—once by her own hand, and once by her enemy's.
For any soul, that would be unbearable.
After so much pain, it was no wonder she lost control, slipping into the illusion of Westview and refusing to wake up.
Later, in Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness, she was corrupted by the Darkhold and manipulated by the power of the Book of the Vishanti, crossing into other universes to find her lost children.
She even tried to kill her alternate self and steal Wanda's life—her motherhood.
But when she saw the children look at her with fear and hatred, calling her a monster, she realized what she had become.
She wasn't a mother—she was a monster wearing grief like armor.
Her parents had died before her eyes. Her brother died under stray bullets. Her lover was killed by her hands, then torn apart again before her. And even the children she created in another world rejected her.
Carrying that much pain, Wanda finally lost the will to live.
In the end, she destroyed the Darkhold castle and buried herself beneath the collapsing mountain.
A Scarlet Witch who once stood against Thanos—gone, buried in silence.
Thinking of this, Lock couldn't help but sigh softly.
In his previous life, he had only admired her strength and beauty, but now he truly saw how much she had suffered.
Any ordinary passerby would have lived a happier life than she.
Without realizing it, Lock's emotions leaked outward. And with his level of power, that emotion touched everyone nearby.
A wave of sorrow spread through the room—melancholy, deep and heavy.
Pepper Potts, always emotional, couldn't hold back her tears.
Wanda, a telepath who could read the thoughts and feelings of others, immediately sensed that the emotion came from Lock himself.
Her eyes trembled. "You… why are you looking at me like that?"
Lock sighed softly. "I just hope I can change your destiny—so you can live a happier life."
Pietro's eyes lit up instantly. "Sister! My idol, King Lock, just confessed his love to you! Say something!"
The twins shared a psychic bond, and Wanda could sense his mischievous thoughts clearly.
Her face flushed red. She kicked Pietro hard under the table and glared at him.
Stop it! Don't make trouble for me… I'm not that naïve!
Tony and Pepper exchanged a knowing glance.
Once again, Lock had caused a misunderstanding.
When he'd flirted with Natasha in front of everyone last time, even Tony, Pepper, and Happy had nearly choked.
Happy almost dropped to one knee and started singing "Conquer."
For a while, everyone had their own thoughts, and no one dared to respond to Lock's emotional outburst.
The air turned thick with awkward silence.
"Ahem…" Tony finally broke it. "Lock, our work isn't finished yet. Let's see what kind of 'fate entanglement' you're talking about."
Wanda, Pietro, Pepper, and even Helen looked curious now.
What kind of fate could Lock possibly mean?
Helen tried to stay polite, but eventually couldn't hold back.
"Tony, we're scientists. It's better not to indulge in mystical nonsense. It'll only distract us from our research."
The moment she questioned Lock, Pietro's temper flared. He was about to snap back—but then he caught Lock's warning gaze.
He took a sharp breath and counted silently for two seconds.
At his speed, two seconds felt like twenty minutes. Agonizing.
Tony spoke up before Pietro could explode. "Helen, trust me. If you hang around this guy long enough, you'll start believing in fate too."
Pietro muttered impatiently, "You dare question Mr. Lock? Iron Man, where did you even find such an ignorant person? You should just throw her out!"
To him, Iron Man was still the man responsible for his family's pain, and Helen's words against Lock made him furious.
Helen's chest heaved—she was fuming.
Where did this brat come from?
Still, she was too composed to argue. She only looked at Tony, expecting him to say something.
But Tony shrugged and said, "Eh… It's not a big deal to kick him out. Helen, just wait—you'll see what Lock's about."
"You—you…" Helen's eyes welled up in frustration.
After all, the Regeneration Cradle was her invention.
Tony might have the resources, but in terms of pure genius, she was ahead.
Yet now she was being scolded by a kid, ignored by her colleague, and dismissed by her idolized peers—all because of this "King Lock."
Her chest ached with indignation.
If not for her lifelong dedication to this research, she might've stormed out.
And the one who caused all this misunderstanding—the calm man before her.
Originally, she'd felt a sense of kinship—both being from the East. But now, all she felt was anger.
Lock noticed the hostility in her eyes and sighed inwardly. He knew exactly what image she had of him now.
Tony was his closest friend—he didn't want to argue here.
He simply reached out and smacked Pietro on the head. "You little brat, always causing me trouble."
The misunderstanding was cleared; no need to explain further.
Lock stepped forward and slowly opened the lid of the medical cradle.
Inside was a familiar face—one he remembered vividly.
A man with crimson skin, sharp features, and silver metal tracing his temples and jawline.
It was Vision.
