Chapter 476 - Chapter 476: Susano'o Showdown

"Sharingan… why do you also have it?" Sasuke was instantly stunned.

Then, as if recalling something, he sneered, "Oh, I get it now. Just like that outsider Kakashi, you've transplanted eyes from my clan, right? The Sharingan is proof of the Uchiha. You despicable outsider, don't flaunt those eyes in front of me."

Sasuke roared in anger and drew his long blade. Lightning radiated from his body as he infused his weapon—the Sword of Kusanagi—with lightning-natured chakra. The electrified blade emitted a loud hum as it shot forward at high speed.

Seeing this, Suigetsu sighed slightly and muttered, "The unstoppable Chidori Blade… looks like Sasuke really wants to kill him."

Anya didn't attempt to dodge. Right before the blade reached him, he flicked his finger. The incoming lightning scattered as if caught in a violent gust, suddenly constricting. The entire blade halted midair as if suspended. As Anya's fingers subtly moved, directing it with razor precision, a miniature vortex formed around the blade. A powerful counterforce struck Sasuke's hand gripping the sword. Before Sasuke could react, the blade transformed into a streak of light, its power completely seized by Anya. Throughout the entire process, not a single ripple disturbed the surrounding air.

Now holding the blade himself, Anya pointed its tip directly at Sasuke's throat. One more step forward, and Sasuke would die.

"What just happened?"

The three members of Taka watched in shock. To them, it seemed as if one moment Sasuke was charging forward to finish off his opponent in a single strike, and the next, his sword was taken and his life was hanging by a thread.

Seeing Sasuke trembling all over, his eyes filled with disbelief, Anya withdrew the blade and drove it into the ground between them. "That's the Control Blade Jutsu. What? Didn't Orochimaru teach you this? Or perhaps you never practiced the Scroll of the Eight Great Sword Techniques?"

Gritting his teeth tightly, Sasuke asked, "How do you know about that?"

"Because I gave him that maki myself," replied Anya calmly. "The Eight Great Sword Techniques were ones I developed back when I was young. They're very suitable for actual combat applications. I understand—"

"Don't talk such nonsense!" Sasuke interrupted, roaring. "Do you think you're still my master? Don't imagine I'll believe you because of a few words. As for me now, I'm no longer who I used to be. Defeating me won't be that easy anymore. Die!"

Sasuke once again activated his Mangekyō. From deep within his pupils, black flames shot straight toward Anya.

"Amaterasu."

Repeated attempts on his life finally brought emotion to Anya.

His Three-Comma Sharingan rotated, and blade-like Mangekyō emerged from his eyes. A tangible surge of powerful chakra rose upward, forming a massive black phantom. Towering bones wrapped in sturdy armor wielded the Demonic Blade. With just a casual swing, the Amaterasu vanished into nothingness, as though it had never existed.

Anya took one step forward. His overwhelming aura sent Sasuke flying backward, flipping through the air several times before crashing to the ground.

"Sasuke, there's a limit to your recklessness. I don't want to kill you."

Only because Mikoto is Sasuke's mother… had it not been for that, after witnessing both that blade technique and the Amaterasu, Sasuke would already have been executed by Anya's blade.

The other three members of Taka stood frozen in place, too afraid to move. The sight before them shocked everyone—this person also possessed the Mangekyō Sharingan! Moreover, his mastery of Susano'o even surpassed Sasuke's. This terrifying aura felt apocalyptic, completely extinguishing any trace of resistance.

"You damn bastard! Don't act like you could kill me anytime you want! Who do you think you are? I'll definitely kill you!"

Emotions surged within Sasuke, and his Susano'o immediately transformed accordingly. Additional Oni-dog armor appeared atop its original form, manifesting a Susano'o no less imposing than Anya's. Its body grew even larger, and a long sword materialized in its hand as a weapon.

Anya sighed, saying, "Looks like I can't take you without defeating you first, Sasuke. Mastering the sword is mastering the mind—it requires total concentration on blade technique alone. Your hatred may rapidly advance your skills temporarily, but eventually will bind and stagnate your progress. Besides, this isn't how Mangekyō Sharingan should be used."

Intense murderous intent surged from him into Susano'o's Demonic Blade. Sacred shrine patterns glimmered across the blade's gleaming surface.

"Zheng..."

The sword emitted its sheathing sound. In an instant, heaven and earth changed colors. The environment was no longer bright and pleasant, but filled with deadly qi. The blade carved through the void, blade after blade flashing in the air, every shred of murderous intent drawn inward, focused sharply at the cutting edge. With one strike, heaven and earth darkened.

Sasuke felt his connection to the world cut off entirely. His Susano'o, regarded as Absolute Defense, offered no protection whatsoever—it dissipated like morning mist brushing his face. What replaced it was endless cellular pain throughout his body, plus dizziness caused by impact upon his eyes' vision.

"Ahh..."

Ultimately unable to bear it, Sasuke spat out a large mouthful of blood, knelt onto the ground, hugging his chest while coughing continuously.

Anya approached swiftly using [Shunshin], struck nerve points with a knife-hand chop, knocking Sasuke unconscious.

Thus, that battle between two Susano'os ended with just one slash.

"Sasuke, what's wrong with you?" asked the red-haired woman who recovered first, rushing forward to stand before Anya.

"From the Uzumaki clan?"

That crimson hair combined with the signature powerful vitality reminded Anya of his teenage years when he struggled learning sealing techniques from Little Pepper. He'd considered finding someone from the Uzumaki clan to drain for blood back then. Never expected meeting one now.

"What's your name?"

"Karin. My name is Karin. I won't let you take Sasuke away."

Looking at this woman obviously terrified yet determinedly blocking his path, Anya felt a flicker of amusement but kept a cold expression and said, "You're not scared I'll kill you?"

Karin's legs shook violently. Suddenly she pulled out a smoke bomb from her bosom, throwing it onto the ground. She grabbed Sasuke tightly, yelling at the other two, "Suigetsu, Jugo, his target is Sasuke! You two hold him off while I escape with Sasuke first."

After running for some distance, Karin frequently glanced behind, finally exhaling relief when finding no pursuers approaching. She looked down at the figure in her arms.

"Huh? Where'd he go?"

Xiulin realized her arms were completely empty.

Next to her, Suigetsu's voice came from the side, "Xiulin, you've been standing here talking to yourself the whole time. Jugo already picked up Sasuke and followed that person; if you don't hurry up, I'm leaving too."

Xiulin suddenly snapped out of it, her face reddening as she realized she'd fallen for a Genjutsu.

Embarrassed and furious, she punched Suigetsu's head so hard it splattered into water, then shouted loudly, "Wait for me! Where are you taking Sasuke?"

It was only Anya's voice that floated in from a distance: "Mikoto wants him home for dinner."

Led by Anya, the Taka Team quickly arrived at the Uchiha compound. Already informed ahead of time, Mikoto was waiting at the front door. When she saw Sasuke, her eyes locked onto him and couldn't look away.

Mikoto slowly stepped forward, gently caressing Sasuke's face with a warm expression, her eyes turning red.

Just as Mikoto was basking in the joy of seeing her son again, an unwelcome voice cut in, "Hey, what exactly do you think you're doing to Sasuke while he's unconscious?"

Mikoto stiffened, only now realizing there were others around. She gave Xiulin, the one who had spoken, a long, piercing look from head to toe, making Xiulin feel uneasy and almost reluctant to meet her gaze.

Just as Xiulin was growing impatient under Mikoto's stare and about to question her, Mikoto asked first, "Are you his teammate?"

Xiulin replied naturally, "Of course."

"Then do you like Sasuke?"

Xiulin's face immediately flushed bright red. Flustered and tongue-tied, she stammered, "I… how could I… well, not really…"

Seeing this, Mikoto understood everything. She stepped forward and took Xiulin's hand, saying, "What a lovely girl. With hair like this, you must be from the Uzumaki clan. If you marry Sasuke someday, you'll definitely have healthy babies together."

"Ahhh…" Steam seemed to rise from Xiulin like a train whistle, struck speechless as if hit by lightning. Her lips quivered slightly as she weakly asked, "W-what did you just say? Marriage? Babies? That's your decision to make?! Nooo—"

Unable to watch any longer, Suigetsu chimed in from the side, "Hey, Xiulin, you can't seriously still not know who this is. Just look at her face—you can tell she's obviously Sasuke's mother."

Well said—both of Mikoto's sons really take after her. If they looked more like Fugaku… well…

"Mom?" Xiulin couldn't help but take another careful look—indeed, it really was her.

Mikoto smiled warmly and happily said, "Good. From now on, just call me Mom."

Looking at Xiulin, Mikoto grew more and more fond of her, while Xiulin stood frozen in place, blushing furiously, unable to recover from the shock.

Anya, having witnessed everything, sighed helplessly, "Mikoto-san, maybe bring Sasuke inside first. Let me treat his injuries—he has quite a few hidden wounds."

"Oh right," Mikoto took Sasuke from Jugo and hurriedly carried him indoors, with Anya following closely behind. Xiulin, however, remained rooted in place, her face still burning red.

Once inside the room, Mikoto activated her Sharingan. At a single glance, nearly every part of Sasuke's body bore serious injuries. The wound across his chest was the worst, its scar stretching dangerously close to his heart—miraculously alive.

Mikoto's voice cracked with emotion as tears welled up in her eyes, "How did this child end up with so many wounds? Has he been fighting non-stop all this time?"

"Let me deal with a few leftovers first," Anya said, placing one hand on Sasuke's chest. White, semi-corporeal entities lit up across his body before gradually taking the form of several humanoid figures.

"What is this?" Mikoto asked, shocked.

"White Zetsu. Someone must've used these to spy on him," Anya replied. With a flick of her fingers, six razor-sharp blades erupted from her fingertips, slicing effortlessly through the emerging White Zetsu.

After finishing them off, green chakra from the Shikkotsu Forest Sage Chakra radiated from Anya's hands as she began healing him while explaining, "Actually, Sasuke's physical injuries aren't too bad—Karin should have healed him multiple times already. The real problem lies in his eyes. Like you, he's pushed himself too hard since awakening the Mangekyō. Continuing to use it will cause irreversible damage."

In great distress, Mikoto blurted out, "Then what should we do? Take my eyes and give them to him!"

"Don't rush," Anya interjected. "Setting aside whether your eyes would even be compatible with his, how do you think Sasuke would feel if he found out his mother became blind trying to save him?"

Upon hearing this, Mikoto fell into despair and immediately said, "I'll go find Lady Tsunade then. She's the greatest medical ninja—surely she can help!"

Anya quickly stopped her, saying, "Right now, Konoha is forming the Allied Ninja Forces, and armies from various nations are on their way. Tsunade must be overwhelmed with work. She won't have time to study Sasuke's condition. Besides, her Medical Ninjutsu is far inferior to mine now."

Realizing this, Mikoto immediately issued a firm command: "Then you must ensure that Sasuke recovers completely."

Anya agreed, "Alright, I promise you that, Miss Mikoto. Now please step outside—I need to concentrate on his healing."

Mikoto cast one last worried glance at Sasuke before silently leaving the room.

Anya's expression grew complex. In truth, curing Sasuke's Mangekyō wasn't difficult for her—she could simply transplant Fugaku's Mangekyō into him. However, current-day Sasuke remained an unpredictable bomb. Once he obtained Eternity and that kind of power boost, there was no telling what he'd do next. After all, this was her stronghold—there couldn't be any margin for error.

As warm chakra flowed through Sasuke's body, old wounds sustained during the capture of the Eight-Tails and past battles with the Raikage slowly mended themselves. Color returned to his face, and the lifelessness in his spirit lifted. His eyes suddenly snapped open.

"Awake already?"

Knowing full well he stood no chance against Anya and having witnessed her rescue him, Sasuke didn't bother reigniting his anger. He asked quietly, "Where am I?"

Anya didn't answer directly. "Although this place has been ruined for a long time, most of its structures were rebuilt according to its original style. Take a good look—you'll probably recognize it."

Sasuke sat upright, scanning the space with his gaze. Suddenly, his eyes landed upon the familiar emblem of his clan, and his whole being trembled with emotion. "This... Can this really be my home?"

"Yeah. Someone has been waiting for you for a very long time," Anya said, patting Sasuke's shoulder gently. "Go ahead—enjoy a meal together."

Anya pushed the door open and immediately saw Mikoto wearing an eager expression of anticipation. Anya nodded at her.

Mikoto was overjoyed. Lifting the lunchbox she carried, she stepped into the room.

Soon, muffled sobbing came from inside.

On the training grounds within the Clan Compound, Jugo sat calmly on a chair, birds perched peacefully on his arms. Suigetsu, unable to keep still for long, asked, "Hey, do you think Karin was taken somewhere by the mistress of this clan? Sounds like she's about to get her wish and become Sasuke's wife. Unbelievable."

Before Jugo could answer, his expression shifted sharply. "Watch out!" he called.

"Huh?" Before Suigetsu could react, a blade pierced straight through his body. A splash of water dripped onto the ground.

Only then did Suigetsu realize he had been attacked. He quickly raised his Cleaver Sword, readying himself defensively.

In the next moment, Anya's figure appeared before him.

"I've heard from Orochimaru that you're a blade genius. Guess your alertness still leaves something to be desired," said Anya.

Suigetsu frowned. "Hey, what are you trying to do?"

"As another blade-wielding ninja, I thought we'd have a quick match," replied Anya, her eyes filled with ill intent.
