Byung couldn't believe his luck because even he knew this was good news. He instantly tried to get on board.
He gave them the needed facts about the honey. He had no reason to hide it from them. He didn't want to keep the recipe to himself. It could help other goblins.
But Gribnox was unsure. There was no way something that sweet could help with infection.
That didn't make sense to him. Byung had nothing to lose by lying.
The worst thing that could happen was it didn't work. Then Byung would be one gold coin richer.
But it was the opposite. He had a lot more to lose by trying this. If it didn't work, he would put a target on his back.
Byung had tons of ideas so far with the few things he had. Ore seemed to be everywhere in these mines. He thought this was true in all mines.
There should be better stuff here even if no one knew yet. Byung knew he needed to push this race years ahead. Then they could catch up to the other races.
There was nothing he couldn't do in this world. A crooked smile grew on his face.
Gribnox saw this smile and felt weird right away. Byung was staring at him. It looked like he had bad plans.
Murkfang had gone to get the honey himself. So it was just the two of them.
"Don't have any funny ideas," Gribnox warned. Byung fixed his face fast when he saw he was staring.
He knew with this power he could make tools and machines. They would make mining much easier. But he wasn't going to share this idea yet. He needed to see what kind of goblins these two were.
He hadn't made any big change in his past life. But he would leave his mark here.
There was no way he would be forgotten. It was only a matter of time before Murkfang came back with the honey.
Byung put it carefully on the infected spot. He could feel Gribnox relax after a few seconds.
This let Byung do his job. But he saw they were very quiet. Was this not allowed here?
They were the bosses of this mine after all. What could they be scared of?
Byung didn't ask anything. He was starting to see the power of his system. The skill he used on Drekk was still unknown to him.
He had no idea he had used the skill already. His body was in fight-or-flight mode.
"Finish! You be as good as new. Apply it a lot," Byung said. But speaking this way was tiring. It felt like his brain was going backward each time.
Murkfang stared at his friend like Byung had done black magic.
"How do you feel?" Murkfang asked. Gribnox's whole attitude changed.
He jumped to his feet and hugged Byung. This showed it worked well.
"I am sorry about earlier! I was trying to act tough!" Gribnox was a nice goblin.
He was one of the nicest goblins Byung would meet.
"I-It fine!" Byung was shocked by the sudden change. He tried to break away from the hug. But he couldn't even if he wanted to.
Murkfang watched them with a smile. He knew this would happen. Gribnox was the nicer one once he trusted you.

Back at the mine Byung had just left along with the others.
"Hey! Stop there!" One of the goblins at the gate tried to stop a figure coming closer.
But before it got bad, the figure stopped. Whoever it was, they were alone.
"Hey, do we expect someone?" the other goblin asked the one next to him. There was no way to know.
"Maybe? Should we let him in?" The goblin answered. Even though goblins were violent, most had never fought for real.
"No! We don't know what they want!" The goblin said no to his friend's idea.
"It's just one person. They are not a threat," the other goblin said.
"You are right. Come this way, sir!" The goblin moved aside. He let the figure pass safely.
This was how dumb the average goblin was. It was why they hadn't grown despite their stuff. They protected their land. But they only did this if the smell from the person was known.
The figure walked but stopped right between them. He was easily over nine feet and two inches tall. This scared the gatekeepers a lot.
"You not goblin!" They both yelled together. The space between them had hid his real size until it was too late.
