Chapter 151 - Chap 151 : Another Vradned

Hmm… I don't know why, but the person who was inside that weapon shop earlier had an aura like someone very wealthy and highly influential.

Well, even though I did suspect that they might be from a noble family, it felt like they were more important than just ordinary rich people.

There's no point in thinking too much about it. What matters is that I want to try this enhancer as soon as possible.

I want to know how strong the strengthening potion I bought really is. Hopefully, its effect will be very powerful.

Maybe I'll try one bottle tomorrow. I can't do it now since Hime is already waiting for me.

——

(Hime side)

Luke and Yukito-san went out, and they said they would be back around noon.

Meanwhile, Yuu-chan, Sikiyomi-san, and I stayed at the inn with nothing to do.

"Hah… I want to go out too…" I muttered while letting out a light sigh.

Wait, I think I know what I should do if I want to go out.

I went to the kitchen to look for Sato-san. Ah, there he is.

Sato-san was cutting some vegetables and putting them into a pot filled with boiling water.

He looked like he was searching for something. I should ask him.

"Sato-san," I called out.

"Ah, Hime-chan. Could I ask you for a favor?" Sato-san asked.

"Hm?" I replied.

He handed me several silver coins, and when I counted them, the total came to five silver coins and fifteen bronze coins.

Wait, what? He gave me money?

"What are you giving me this money for?" I asked, still confused about what Sato-san wanted me to help with.

"I ran out of carrots. Could you buy some for me? I still have other work to do, so I can't leave the house for the next few hours," he said.

Ah, I see now why he needed my help.

"Alright, I'll head out," I said.

"Thank you very much," Sato-san replied.

I left the kitchen and put on my shoes before leaving the house.

I remembered that when Yuu-chan and I were walking around together before we found this inn, I had seen a stall selling various kinds of vegetables.

They should definitely have carrots there that I can buy and give to Sato-san.

——

From Sato's inn to the stall, it probably only took about two to three minutes.

Hime arrived without any trouble during the short trip and immediately found what she was looking for at the vegetable stall.

However, it wasn't just carrots in front of her eyes, but also a woman who was buying vegetables at the stall.

Hime's gaze was immediately drawn to that woman, because she was wearing a dark brown jacket.

Because of her appearance, Hime became suspicious of the woman.

——

Who is this strange person in front of me? Her clothes look like someone suspicious who has just done something wrong.

Well, there's no point in paying attention to her.

If I get involved with this person, I might end up in serious trouble that would be a hassle later on.

That person had been keeping her head down the whole time, even though she was already holding a plastic bag filled with vegetables.

"Excuse me, I'd like to buy some carrots," I said to the vendor.

"Oh, how much are you going to pay?" the vendor asked.

"Fifteen bronze coins," I replied.

"Alright, please wait a moment," he said while taking a plastic bag and putting several carrots into it.

Not long after that, he handed me the plastic bag filled with carrots.

"Here's the money," I said as I handed it to him and took the bag.

The person beside me handed several coins to the vendor, and the vendor immediately smiled.

"Thank you," he said.

I was about to leave the front of the vegetable stall since I no longer had any business there.

But suddenly, I heard the sound of something falling behind me.

Brug!

The sound was quite loud, like someone had just fallen onto the street—

Ah, the person who had been buying vegetables beside me fell down, causing the vegetables she bought to scatter everywhere.

Some of them were damaged and dirty, but some were still clean because they hadn't come out of the plastic bag.

I had no obligation to help her, but no one passing by stopped to help her either.

It was as if nothing had happened nearby, and they had no intention of helping her.

The vegetable vendor was also looking down at his vegetables, so he didn't notice that his customer had fallen.

Geez… it can't be helped.

I approached the person who had just fallen and immediately asked about her condition.

"Excuse me, are you okay?" I asked.

She turned to look at me, her right hand holding one of her legs, which looked scraped from the fall. She looked to be in pain.

"Let me help you," I said as I extended my hand to her. She accepted it right away.

Huh, her hand feels much softer and smoother than I expected.

Once she stood up, she immediately looked at her vegetables that were damaged and scattered on the ground.

She tried to crouch down to clean them up, but I stopped her because she was already limping slightly just from walking.

I put my arm around her shoulder so she could walk more comfortably.

"Over there. We should move aside so we don't get in other people's way," I said while pointing toward an alley.

——

In short, I had her sit on top of some boxes that had items inside them.

I crouched slightly so I could take a closer look at the injury on her ankle.

"This is pretty bad," I said.

"I know… it hurts quite a lot," she replied.

When she tried to lower her head to touch her leg, her hood came off, allowing me to see her face.

A woman with long, slightly grayish-white hair, and a face that looked very beautiful and innocent.

Her eyes were light blue, and her eyelashes matched her eye color perfectly.

"You're a woman?" I asked, not expecting this person to be female.

"My appearance earlier made me look strange, didn't it? But I am a girl," she said in a voice that sounded very gentle to my ears.

When I held her hand earlier, it was indeed soft and smooth, but I still found it hard to believe that she was really a girl.

"Do you have any tissues and water? If you do, we can treat your wound before it gets worse," I said.

"I have tissues, but…" she replied.

"Water, huh? Wait a moment, I'll be right back," I said as I hurried away from the girl.

——

I returned carrying a bottle of drinking water, which I bought using the money Sato-san had given me.

She handed me the tissues she had brought, and I immediately moistened them with the water.

But before that—

"Excuse me, how should I address you?" I asked.

"O-oh, my name is Vradned Anggie…" she said.

"Vradned-san, may I take off your sandal first?" I asked.

"Ehmm, it's fine," she replied.

Slowly and carefully, I removed her sandal and gently poured water over her wound.

"Bear with it for a bit," I said.

I had to clean the wound first before covering it with the wet tissue.

Click.

After that, I pressed the wet tissue onto the wound, repeatedly removing and placing it again.

To make sure there were no germs or bacteria that could make the injury worse.

"How is it?" I asked.

"It's much better than before, thank you very much," she said.

——

"Here, this is to compensate you," Vradned-san said as she handed me several silver and bronze coins.

"It's fine. I helped you because I wanted to," I said gently refusing her money.

"You're very kind. I'm grateful to have been helped by someone like you. Well then, I'll be going now, okay?" she said.

"Are you sure you're really feeling better?" I asked.

"Don't worry, I can manage," she said while walking slowly.

"See you later," I said.

"See you later too," she replied.

Ah right, I should hurry back and give these carrots to Sato-san.
