Chapter 31 - Hulk Busting

Observer POV

Hulk looked at Tenno in pure rage as he tried to push him away, but the only thing he managed to do was to kick some debris behind him and dig his feet further into the ground.

He became frustrated and announced his intentions loud and Clear,

"Rooooooaaaaaahhhhh," he roared at Rhino before pulling back his other hand to throw another punch.

Instead of what Hulk thought would happen, Rhino stated his intentions in the same way as he did.

A, "Rooooaaaahhh" came out of Rhino's deepest parts, and a shockwave spread around him, making windows explode and car sirens activate.

Hulk was clearly confused, as his knees buckled inwards and he fell onto his hands, pushing all his strength into looking upwards, only to find an incoming fist.

It directly connected with Hulk's face, sending him flying into the building he came from, while the silver glow left Rhino the second he punched him.

Two hands were seen a second later, pulling out the Hulk's face from within the Shadows, completely covered in silver shrapnel.

He looked at Rhino with an evil grin while spitting out some blood.

"Well, that's not good," Tony said as he fired his full-powered beams directly at Hulk's face, but he just pulled up his arms for protection and rushed straight at Rhino.

"Kid, you should get out of here. I don't know what you did there, but it won't work twice," Tony exclaimed, while passing by, fly-kicking the Hulk and changing both of their trajectories.

Now Hulk also looked angry at Tony as he stood up and took two cars, throwing one at each of them.

Tony just cut through the car with a laser while Rhino used his dash to run through his one, catching the Hulk off guard, trying to use the same trick he did on Tony on Rhino.

Rhino's dash connected, and Hulk's fist smashed against his, while Rhino's iron skin formed around him again.

Hulk flew backwards, down the road, further into undamaged territory, with Tony right on his tail.

"We have to keep the civilians safe," Tony called out angrily as he watched the new guy, whom he now realized was definitely not Pietro, toy with the Hulk, while grumbling inwardly, "Why are there so many newcomers with powers nowadays? I feel left out here."

He landed a few meters before the Hulk, softening his landing with continuous downward laser blasts that burned into the Hulk's chest.

Hulk reached for a lamp pole and hit Tony with it like a baseball, making the Hulk buster bounce off the buildings like a pinball.

Hulk stood up and roared angrily at Tony and was just about to jump after him, as suddenly his knee bent inwards, Rhino punching it from behind, before dashing away again.

Hulk fell downward and caught himself with his hands before looking around, but Rhino was gone.

He roared again as he got hit in the back and stumbled forward, looking behind him abruptly, but still not catching a glimpse of the attacker.

He jumped upwards and clung to a building while looking downwards, searching for the enemy he couldn't see.

While looking around, he caught a glimpse of something big, red, and gold coming his way. In the same instant, he got blasted from the side.

Tony appeared next to him, punching him in the face, while holding him in place by his shoulder, simultaneously pushing him downwards with his thrusters.

"You are not getting rid of me that easily, big guy," Tony said between punches, before they plummeted into the earth.

As the dust settled, Hulk stood behind him and stuck a lamp pole into the Hulkbuster's left arm, completely immobilizing it, as he jumped on Tony's back and began to tear off the armor.

"Rooooaaaaahhh" echoed from every angle as the Hulk lost all strength in his limbs again and looked around for Rhino. Tony took the opportunity to turn his arm 180 degrees and hit the Hulk square in the face with it.

"Veronica, give me a hand," he said as floating spare parts detached from her and flew towards him to replace the damaged arm, which was pushed off by the rest of the Armor.

Meanwhile, Hulk had stood up and charged straight at Tony through a bunch of food stalls, destroying everything left and right.

The new arm was reattaching as Hulk got into range. Tony fired at him with his right arm's laser, even going into overdrive to keep him at bay, before the hand finally clicked into place. Both of their fists connected, creating a shockwave that threw the civilians around and shattered every window in the vicinity.

Hulk jumped at Tony, but he just flipped him over and pinned him down under him, while using his new arm to punch the Hulk's face into the ground continuously.

"Go to sleep, Go to sleep, Go to sleep," Tony repeated nearly in a prayer, as Hulk suddenly caught the hand, mid-punch.

But Tony predicted something like that to happen, so the hand transformed into a joint lock, immobilizing the Hulk's right arm while keeping him in place.

Tony activated his boosters as he, together with the Hulk dangling under him, began to ascend into the sky.

"Ok, pal, we're gonna get you out of town," Tony muttered while Hulk still tried to escape from his imprisonment.

Suddenly, Hulk punched his face, and they changed course in the air, plummeting towards a building.

"Not that way, not that way," Tony exclaimed angrily, as they began to head towards an office building filled with people.

"Come on, Bruce! You gotta work with me!" Tony negotiated while spraying him with sedatives, but Hulk just pushed him backwards, into an elevator, which began to fall into the lobby of the building.

Tony jumped after the cable and just nearly caught it, as he used the suit's thrusters to slow down the elevator's descent.

"Everybody out!" He commanded as the civilians fled just in time, the Hulk jumping at Tony from behind, while Tony did a front flip, kicking him across the chest.

He crashed onto some stairs and struggled to get up, as Tony yelled, "Going to get ugly!" and used the elevator like a wrecking ball, hitting Hulk square in the back.

As Hulk tried to stand up again and turned towards him, Tony was already there, punching him so hard in the face that he kept turning and landed face-first in the ground again.

Hulk even stopped moving for a second, but then turned around, spat out a tooth, while grimly looking at Stark.

"I'm sorry." Tony apologized before getting punched so hard that he flew outside the building, even crashing into the next one, as Hulk jumped on his back and began to tear away parts of the Hulkbusters' backside.

Tony managed to grab Hulk's arm and throw him into the building while flying upwards, but Hulk just climbed the walls inside the skyscraper, crashing through floor after floor till he was at the same elevation as Tony, then jumped outside, catching his leg.

He again climbed onto his back and this time got a good grip on his back boosters, pulling them out completely.

"Damage report," Tony commanded inside his helmet, but the damaged computer just buzzed an unreadable reply. "That's comprehensive." He grumbled sarcastically.

"Show me something." He commanded Veronica, and she detached a new part, flying straight at him, but the hulk was still on top of him, just punching away the repair parts as they came into his reach.

He even managed to punch them so hard that they flew into Veronica, who started to descend drastically.

Suddenly, Hulk caught a glimpse of a blue streak under them and decided on a new target while grinning, as he jumped off Tony's back, towards Rhino.

"We have to get him out of the City," Tony yelled, as Hulk plummeted towards Rhino like a Meteor.

"That is the Plan," he responded with a deep, heavy voice. He waited for a few more seconds and then stomped against the ground, right as Hulk came into contact with it, creating an earthquake around them.

But that was not the most fascinating thing Tony saw happening with that attack, as Hulk suddenly began to fall in slow motion.

"What is happening?" Tony yelled as he tried to move his Armor, but it moved only in slow motion, caught in the attack radius as he flew right behind Hulk during his whole descent.

Instead of answering, Rhino pulled back his fist and roared again, the shockwave passing through the surroundings, while Hulk's eyes grew smaller in rage, feeling his body lose all its strength again.

He then proceeded to Dash at the Hulk and simultaneously unleash the gathered damage within Iron Skin in a single hit, as shrapnel began to fly in all directions.

But Hulk still didn't move, he only floated midair in slow motion, while Rhino pulled back his fist and used Dash again, and again, and again.

Suddenly, Tony could move his armor and witnessed as Hulk gained all the accumulated momentum he should have achieved before, and was flung into the sky, vanishing into the clouds, while leaving behind a Hulk-sized hole.

"Ok, I liked your plan better than mine," Tony said, grinning as the Hulkbusters' thrusters pushed him upwards and Tony began to fly after the Hulk.

Rhino just nodded, while taking on the pursuit, dashing in the direction Ordis showed him.

Outside the City, lying in a crater in the middle of a cornfield was the out cold Bruce Banner.

"There we are," Tony said, relieved as he left the Hulk buster and retracted his helmet.

The next second, Rhino came to a stop and looked at the Dr., while tilting his head.

"Good moves you got there by the way," Tony said as he turned towards him.

"Thank you for helping. Without you, we would have probably demolished quite a bit more," he continued as he held out his hand.

Rhino reached out and shook it, before looking upwards at the Liset coming to pick him up.

"That's my ride," Rhino said before jumping upwards and attaching himself to the magnetic clamps, as the Liset began to speed off, towards the horizon at full throttle.

Meanwhile, Tony still stood there completely flabbergasted, his hand stuck in the shaking position. "What the fuck did I just witness?"
